Hemos pasado unos días estupendos en Shela. El lugar es hermoso y reina la paz. La casa de Chloé es cómoda y acogedora. Dickson ha sido un anfitrión muy amable y profesional. Ha atendido rápidamente todas nuestras solicitudes y nos ha deleitado cada día con su cocina. La casa de Chloé es muy recomendable y, si vuelvo a Shela seguro que repetimos. Muchas gracias por unos días geniales.

À noter que nous n'avons pas été logés dans la maison de Gilles mais dans celle, attenante, de sa soeur Fabienne. Gilles a été très réactif après un problème de calendrier de réservation. En tout cas, chez Fabienne, superbe logement, et accueil impeccable! A recommander.

Нам понравися дизайн комнат, но комнаты были очень разные (по площади и комфорту). Очень приятный дворик с бассейном. Очень вежливый и приятный персонал. Повар делает великолепные фруктовые салаты на завтрак. Поскольку окна не застекленные, кондиционер не предусмотрен, и, поэтому, в помещениях, особенно на нижнем этаже, очень душно. Одна комната на нижнем этаже маленькая и в ней тесно. Несмотря на то, что море рядом, до хорошего пляжа идти минут 10.

Absolutely one of the best places we have ever stayed. Beautiful house, amazing team, great location. We felt very lucky.

The team, location and the facilities at Moon Houses are excellent. The house keeper, cook and manager were all exceptional in their efforts to ensure we enjoyed a relaxing stay. A highly recommended place to stay!

We loved Livia’s place (Amani House). While it is a short walk from the coast and central Shela, it’s a pleasant walk through neighborhoods with lots to see. It also felt more relaxing to be on the edge of town than right in it. The chef (Martin) was phenomenal and the groundsman (Philicent) and the housekeeper (Elina) were kind and helpful. Plus you have to take a dhow ride with Omar! He’s a wonderful man. We would love to stay there again!

We had a wonderful 5-day stay in Lamu. The service was outstanding, the meals were delicious with a chef who took great care of us, and the house was impeccable. Nina and Jamal were very responsive to our requests. The house is perfectly located right on the water, between the pool and the sea, with plenty of shaded areas thanks to several patios. We will definitely come back!

We spent 4 days at taqwa house and it s was amazing, Elijah the chef is an amazing chef, Peter the manager was very available. Only issue is that the house is a bit far (10min walking) from Sheila and the instructions are not very clear. We will come back

Our stay just couldn’t be better! Nina’s place is a little paradise, the house is very spacious and clean, with a lot of areas to hang and relax. The pool was definitely a highlight for me, it was so nice to start the day with the swim and also to read a book floating on a mattress. The house is located a short walk to island’s most beautiful beach Shela and also just 5 min from the harbor. But all this would not be the same without chef’s Daniel fresh and local cooking. He treated us with fresh seafood dishes every day and his cooking was way better than any of the restaurants on the island. Already planning my return and can get boy recommend this place to anybody traveling to Lamu.

We loved our stay in the heart of Lamu! The house is beautifully designed with stunning traditional architecture, and being centrally located, it felt like we were truly living among the locals—which is exactly what we were looking for. Jamuhuri, the house help, was incredibly kind and welcoming—he made us feel right at home. Tarik also went above and beyond to help us organize a last-minute airport pickup, which we really appreciated. The hospitality throughout was fantastic. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Lamu experience.

We absolutely loved our stay. The host was very fast to respond & suggested thoughtful activities for us. The house is well designed, full of Art, books, films to look at. The swimming pool was a highlight. The location is at the heart of Lamu & very accessible from the waterfront. The chef was one of the best we have experienced in Lamu & the caretaker was very sweet with our kids. We highly reccomend this place!

Stayed here for the second time and still enjoyed it. I personally like, that it is a bit out of Shela and more peacful. Easy access to the beach through the dunes. Very good wifi! A great new addition is the drinking water filter system!! 👏 Firstly you don’t have to walk all the way with the heavy 10ltr bottles, but also reduces the usage of single use plastic bottles! I was lucky enough to be the only one staying this time and was able to sprawl out! 😅 Philicent and Elina are always around and helpful, but very discrete. Thanks for having me again! I shall be back!
