Beautiful home. Best value for money that I’ve encountered in my entire 2 weeks in Kenya. It’s very cozy, clean, well thought through. Kate is a wonderful host. Don’t you over use this place, guys and gals, coz I need it next time I come :))

I recently stayed at this Airbnb, and it was a great experience overall. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. The location was convenient, making it easy to access nearby attractions, restaurants, and shops. The host was friendly and responsive, ensuring everything went smoothly during my stay. We had a few issues that could have been avoided but Sempijja was pleasant and offered us compensation. House wasn’t cleaned properly but he was extremely apologetic and explained it was an oversight. Suggested they provide drinking water for guests, tea/coffee and basic necessities. Lots of congestion with traffic so try to arrive outside of rush hour. The road in off of Masaka Rd is pretty rough but it’s easy to find. The house, pool and gardens are lovely. It’s very private and fairly quiet during the day, however there is a bar nearby that plays loud music until 4-5 am pretty much every night and a mosque nearby that shouts their call to prayer at 5 am. The fan helped drown out some of the noise. Suggestion - you really need fans for every room. There were only 2 for 6 bedrooms. The pool was amazing and beautiful surroundings. Partly shaded by a large palm which is great if you have sensitive skin. All in all we enjoyed our time and will return.

Whether you’re sinking into deep conversation by the poolside or sipping coffee at sunrise, this place lingers in your soul after you leave. If Lake Victoria has a best kept secret, this is it.

Excellent stay! Prince was a great host and the compound and home were beautiful, exactly as described. Use of the pool and restaurant just across the road were a huge bonus and the location is great - walking distance to many restaurants, groceries, and bars. I hope to visit again!

My family and throughly enjoyed our stay at Carolyn and Junior’s house! The house was so spacious and comfortable for my family and I. And we absolutely fell in love with Mr. Steven, Mr. Dickson, Ms. Barbara, and Ms. Judith! They are wonderful and very helpful and attentive. The host were very welcoming and helpful, we had a little hiccup and they were there to make sure matters were solved and in a timely manner. We were sad to have to leave as this place really started feeling like home. I definitely recommend this house 100%

We had a wonderful stay at Khadija’s oasis of comfort! The accommodation is very easy to reach from the city center and offers direct shopping options, as well as a safe environment. We really enjoyed our time there – the small pool was definitely a highlight! Everything was exactly as described, and Khadija was an excellent host. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place. Thank you for the amazing time!

Our stay on Bulago island at Tom's house was just great. From the house, beautifully situated above the water on the far west tip of the island, you have an amazing view over the lake, which gets even better with every step you climb up behind the house up to the hill, which is the highest point of the island. The house is fully equipped with all you need and Tom is an awesome host! We'll soon be back.

The solar house very quickly became our second home over the 7 months we stayed there. We were beyond thankful for Damian, Anna, and their precious children who were extremely kind, helpful, available and attentive. The solar house is an ideal location for families. Our two young children loved the home and the compound and it was within walking distance of their school. The solar house is a bright and welcoming home - and it has smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detector which are nearly non-existent in Mwanza! We highly recommend this house for short or long term stays. We hope very much to be back! Asante sana Damian, Sam & Ina!

We had a lovely family stay at Brittany's beautiful home. It is located a very walkable distance to local backpackers/restaurants and the neighborhood is very peaceful and comfortable. The house itself is lovely -- well-equipped with plenty of space and comfortable amenities. We would absolutely stay there again.

Had a wonderful stay in Kisumu. The house was exactly what we needed and in a great location. The added guest house in the back is a really helpful option for large families or groups. We didn’t use it this time, but will definitely book again next time we are in the area!

Tendo's place is very conveniently located - easy to find at the main road with neaeby supermarkets and restaurants. The place was quiet, only some slight sound of the neaeby roadside and some low music during the weekends from nearby Kabalagala. The house is spacious, has a small garden and a backup inverter - so lights ans wifi work during power cuts. It is slightly old, but everything functions. Communication with Tendo was extraordinary, very friendly and pro-active. Thanks!

It was a great spacious place to stay in a good neighborhood. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. We opted for the chef for breakfast the food and service were great. Would return again someday.

A peaceful, quiet, relaxing home away from home

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house! The location is fantastic, with a stunning view of the Nile. The staff from Sole Hope were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. The house itself was absolutely charming and very spacious — ideal for our family with three teenagers. We truly enjoyed our time there and would love to come back!

Uns wurde bei einem Anruf genau erklärt, wie man zur Unterkunft kommt. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es hat Gewürze, Öl aber auch sehr viel Geschirr und Kochzubehör. Bei der Ankunft waren auch auch kalte Wasserflaschen im Kühlschrank. Die Haushaltshilfe kam öfters mal vorbei um zu putzen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

I had such a wonderful stay at Adam’s place! The peace and quiet here made it the perfect escape, and the views—both during the day and at night—are absolutely stunning. Adam and his family are amazing hosts, and I felt truly welcomed and cared for throughout my stay. The whole team was attentive, friendly, and made everything feel seamless. I originally planned to stay for 5 days but ended up extending my stay to over two weeks—in another room in their home—because I was enjoying it so much. If you’re looking for a beautiful, relaxing place with great people, this is it. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sylvia's Zen House. We are regulars in Kakamega but the first time staying here. The amenities were as described and the house was tastefully decorated. We had the most completely furnished kitchen with everything we could need. The groundskeeper was very helpful when needed. We can highly recommend staying at this house. The place was just as pictured. Elvis was such a hospitable host and was always a phone call away to cater for all our needs. We especially enjoyed the patio and the grill. The location was convenient to access amenities. This place is definitely a hidden gem.
