We love this beautiful little self contained alpine chalet style house we have created on our property. Only 15 minutes walk (or less than five minutes drive) to either the lake front or the town centre, it is perfectly situated for a break in Taupo. Peaceful sheltered surroundings, relaxing environment, all you need for a great getaway. There are views of the Waikato River from the bedroom window and walking/bike tracks nearby that lead to Spa Park where the adventure begins. PLEASE read the descriptions carefully BEFORE booking to make sure our unit is adequate for your need.

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

New concrete car park and another car port with shed, plenty of car parking for boat, van and trailers in front of the house.

The Art House is a charming two-bedroom Lockwood home from the 1950s that is warm and inviting. Thoughtful touches throughout make you feel at home. Recently fitted with new double-glazed windows, it's exceptionally cosy. The heat pump and fire keep you warm. The back deck, basking in sunlight, is perfect for unwinding with a glass of wine and a good book. The lake and hot water beach are just a 10-minute walk away, offering endless exploration opportunities.
