The Lakeside River House

The cottage lies on the banks of Lake Rousseau. This is a very interesting lake. The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Come and enjoy the Nature Coast right from the backyard.

Bring your boat(s)/ sxs/ atvs. We are located 15 mins to Lake Rousseau, Gulf, Three Sisters Springs, & Rainbow River. In the country. One cottage is long term rental and not available.

The Rustic Bear Cabin is located in Crystal River on 1.16 acre, surrounded by woods & close to the Springs. Very cozy and relaxing. Drink your coffee on the porch, listen to the birds, hang out in the hammock or by the firepit, spy on deers, play with our rustic barrel arcade game, some pingpong, cornhole or dartboard. Our property is located directly across from Lake Rousseau with a beautiful view of the lake. We are 12 min from downtown Dunnellon and downtown Crystal River. You can enjoy Rainbow River, Three Sisters & Hunter Springs with just a short drive . There is boat ramp access across the street with plenty of room for trailer parking on our property. Rainbow River is also accessible by boat from the property. Our brand new bungalow style home places you right in the middle of endless activities!

Country setting, FREE use of the Kayaks and golf cart, or take the kayaks to Rainbow River, my place is on the “Withlacoochee River” so you would put in at the neighborhood ramp and paddle North to get to the Rainbow River. The KP Hole and Rainbow Springs State Park are 10-15 min away. You can bring your own boat, “there is a boat ramp in the neighborhood”, and local ramps in town. Relax by the fire in the evening. Peaceful, quiet and only 10 minutes from town for shopping and dining.

A fold out sleeper couch takes this from a 2 person cottage to 4 in just minutes. Parking is not an issue, even if you have a trailer.
