Our visit was a quick getaway for Mother’s Day. We had the best time, and the cabin was beyond my expectations. Everything looked brand new! We spent most of our time outside on the beautiful wrap around porch and in the hot-tub. It rained most of the time, but it was so cozy and I cant wait to go back soon with my Husband. The landscaping and little “fairy lights” in the ferns were beautiful.

Great place for little kids to run around…a lot for them to see!

This is the perfect place to actually get away. Peaceful and private. Great place to relax and enjoy quality time with friends and family.

My family and I had the best time at Whimsy in the Woods and would go back in a heartbeat. The grounds were gorgeous with a little running pond, flowers , lights and surrounding trees. The inside was eclectic, vibrant and cozy with different walls of paint, art work and interesting furniture. My favorite room was the screened in sun room with huge windows and comfy furniture and magical lights. Whimsy in the Woods leaves no detail out with robes for the hot tub, a coffee and tea bar, temperature controlled rooms among too many extras to mention. We all didn’t want to leave!!

This location is perfect for a weekend away from it all. no cell service and so remote! 😍 It is in a valley so it's more cold naturally. Everything in the home was as pictured. unfortunately for us someone used the gas grill wrong (as charcoal ruining it for us). Lydia was so responsive and was offering to bring us a new gas tank. This is a great couple and a wonderful place. Definitely worth your time in the quiet!

We enjoyed our stay. It is spacious and has enough bathrooms for 6 adults. We also enjoyed the game room and hot tub. The cabin has a lovely view and was not too hard to find. Hosts were responsive.

Melody's cabin exceeded expectations in the best way! We were here for a quiet bachelor weekend, and every part of it was perfect. Quiet, secluded, peaceful. The hot tub is deep and luxurious and the fire pit in the woods is so cozy! 10/10 would recommend this cabin, hoping I can go back someday!

Very cozy cabin on a dirt road in a wooded neighborhood. Private and quiet. Extremely clean, comfy beds & pillows. Fully stocked kitchen. Big deck, nice fire pit options. Newer home. Since it's new, be sure to bring condiments. Good supply of spices and coffee pods. It would be even more perfect if the deck had a gate. Allowed to bring pets, which is such a plus, but our 1 yr old beagle jumped over the doggie gates we brought to block off the deck opening, and was missing for 2 hours. All ended well. Highly recommend.

We had a fun time and this was a great place to reconnect with some old friends. We grilled and had a bonfire without having to worry about being too noisy. Nice river front access and a lot of areas to explore.

We had a wonderful stay at Emily's cabin. The place exceeded our expectations. There are so many thoughtful touches that made the place feel extra cozy. The wifi is a little spotty but that wasn't an issue for us. It was so nice to enjoy coffee on the front porch in the mornings. Barely any cars drove by during our stay which made it feel extremely private. We definitely would love to return when it's warmer to enjoy the firepit and more time outside. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and serene place at the top of the mountain. Like…the tippy top. Perfect for relaxing and doing nothing. Fun kitchen to cook in and great porch for sitting on one of their rocking chairs.

My wife and I had an unforgettable two-night stay at this peaceful, beautiful cabin. It was the perfect escape from the noise of everyday life. The cozy atmosphere gave us a chance to truly unwind and enjoy quality time together. It was exactly the calm and comfort we needed, definitely am coming back one day soon!

This cabin was super cute and homey. We absolutely loved our stay.

David provided us with an amazing log home, that was immaculately clean, well organized, and in a very beautifully peaceful location. He was very responsive and answered whatever questions I might have had, and I had a quite a few being this was the first time staying in an AirBNB. There were bibles in every room, and religious decorations that we found refreshing and comforting. I would like to thank David and everyone that helped him make our stay amazing. We will definitely be back for another stay.

This was the PERFECT weekend getaway spot to celebrate my son’s 8th birthday! This glamping experience far exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully designed to offer the perfect blend of nature, relaxation, and luxury. The cabins were stunning — spacious, beautifully furnished, and immaculately clean. The plush bed, cozy blankets, and ambient lighting made it feel like a five-star hotel room nestled in the heart of the wilderness. Waking up to the sounds of birds and a soft morning breeze, with a cup of freshly brewed coffee in hand, was pure magic. The site itself was a dream. Secluded yet secure, it offered just enough privacy while still being close to amenities. We enjoyed a campfire under the stars, a tranquil walk through nearby trails, and every family member (including the furry ones) especially loved the pond with paddle boat! This glamping getaway was the perfect reset — and we can’t wait to come back!!

We loved this cabin. It really is from the 1800's. I felt like I was having a sleepover with Laura Ingalls. Angela answered all of my questions before check in and made us feel at home with fresh ground coffee and milk. we will definitely be back.

My husband and I booked Chad’s cabin for our 1-year wedding anniversary, and it was everything we hoped for—and more. The cabin by the creek was cozy, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by peaceful nature. We especially loved relaxing by the fire pit in the evenings, listening to the sounds of the creek and the forest around us. The property was spotless and thoughtfully cared for, with beautiful grounds that made it feel like a true escape. Despite the serene setting, it’s just a short 12-minute drive to all the Gettysburg attractions and restaurants—so we had the best of both worlds. This was such a special experience, and we can’t wait to return. Thank you, Chad, for making our anniversary unforgettable!

The place was perfect tucked away in the woods with plenty of its own space. We absolutely loved it as we needed a place to recharge and get out of the norm for a few days. Everything was as explained and clean. We had a great time and can’t wait to go back again

One goal for our stay this fall was to get away from the world a bit, and the Pamela's comfortable log cabin down the woodsy road did the trick. Although there are other houses around (and I imagine it's a busy place in the summertime), at this time of the year it was quiet, with occasional birdsong and squirrels on the roof. The nights were chilly but we were snug in the main room with the heater on - the outer, all-weather room was another story, but we didn't use it much. The cabin is 10 minutes from the town of Carlisle, which offers places to eat and things to do. The scenery was lovely on our drive to Shippensburg and to Chambersburg.

Beautiful place. Everything was pristine and cozy. Great hosts. Loved our stay. Perfect place to stay while visiting colleges in the area. Very peaceful and lovely. The most comfy couch.

My wife and I had a lovely time here. Amazing view, your front porch faces right towards the river and was wonderful to wake up to. Very conveniently located, and it was nice to be able to walk the trail into Harper’s Ferry instead of driving and paying for parking. Would absolutely stay here again. Bathroom is unfortunately very small but convenient park restrooms nearby made this mostly a non-issue.
