Settle into Nomadic Beerworks, one of my favorite South Austin breweries, for a laid-back and creative painting session. In this two-hour experience, you’ll paint Texas’ vibrant wildflowers and plants while learning fundamental watercolor techniques—all in a relaxed atmosphere where you can sip on craft brews, coffee, or other refreshments from the bar. • Explore watercolor techniques through guided exercises. We’ll practice brushwork, color mixing, and layering to create depth and texture using materials I’ll provide. • Sketch and paint Texas wildflowers, focusing on their distinct shapes and colors. I’ll demonstrate techniques for bringing bluebonnets, prickly pears, and other native plants to life on paper. • Add texture and refine details as you personalize your painting. We’ll discuss composition, balance, and finishing touches to make each piece unique. We’ll wrap up by sharing our work and reflecting on the process. Join an artist and gallery owner for a street art experience, where you’ll learn about the history and cultural significance of graffiti and mural art before creating a work of your own. • I’ll lead you on a guided tour of East Austin’s iconic spray tags and murals, exploring the diverse art styles around you. • Once we return to the gallery, you’ll have a chance to create your own spray art! You’ll begin by designing a unique graffiti tag on paper. I’ll offer advice on composition, lettering, and style. • You’ll transfer your tag onto a canvas using spray paint and other graffiti tools, and I’ll give you tips to help you develop your technique. Join me and bring your friends and/or family for an exciting way to make great memories in the heart of Austin! We will start at Auditorium Shores and make our way around the park to capture the best background settings with the Austin Skyline! Light walking is required and please be prepared to walk through some grassy areas. (Think back up shoes.) All photos are taken with a professional digital camera. You’ll complete a short personal style intake survey to help me get to know your style needs and plan a custom experience for you. We will visit 3-4 shops depending on your needs. I will introduce you to the emerging fashion scene in Austin, including the brands, designers, and curators who are transforming fashion for good through ethical and sustainable practices. Creativity Workshop in Nature

We will meet by the scenic and serene Bull Creek in NW Austin. We will briefly share our backgrounds and creativity goals. We will engage in a taste of the ritual of writing "morning pages." We will hike to different gorgeous spots, discuss book passages, and complete oral and written tasks to give voice to our inner artists as they begin to shift and grow. While of course there is no way that an hour's visit can take the place of a 12-week course of The Artists Way by Julia Cameron, we will hit the highlights of the series with plenty of productive, beneficial, and enlightening work that will absolutely propel each of us forward down a new creative path of self-discovery. Before departing, we will each have a plan of action for living in creative technicolor and transforming our dreams into realities. Our plans will include our next 3 "artist dates," where we treat ourselves to an outing that nurtures our creativity. We will make genuine, affirming statements to one another and will support the figurative spreading of the wings of each guest. We'll have an opportunity to stay in touch in a dedicated Facebook group for encouraging/celebrating one another on our creative journey! We’ll dissect your work so that it can shine the best it can. We'll discuss all things publishing, editing or anything you’re having trouble bringing to life. I'll offer tips on self-publishing, traditional-publishing and other avenues that’ll support your work. If you're already working with an editor, that's fine, you still might have questions. So whatever you bring to the collaboration I’ll be glad to look it over cuz the more material you have - the better. No topic is offensive so don't worry about upsetting me if you choose to unveil sensitive material no one else knows about. Everything stays confidential. The only subjects I don’t discuss are romance and politics. If you’re a minor- a parent must be present during the entirety of our public session.
