The Castle Byre

The 'Byre' is a luxury self catering cottage within a former barn at historic Parkhead Farm. It sits just 200m from the ruins of Auchindoun Castle and has unsurpassed views to the castle on the hill. Being of contemporary open plan design, it retains the traditional look of the original barn interior with large exposed roof trusses and natural stonework. Connected to the old cruck barn this is a compact, cosy, self contained bedroom. It’s set on one side of the courtyard with separate key access so you can come and go at will. If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. Rustic, with loads of character, the room has a comfy king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. If you need mod cons or lots of space this may not be the place for you!

The Cabin

The Cabin is a self catering one room chalet that contains 2 single beds, table, chairs, armchairs and a kitchen. An enclosed bathroom with shower, toilet and sink is included. Water is provided by the Cromdale hills via filtration system. The Cabin is fully insulated and heated for a cosy environment. Entertainment consists of TV, video & bluetooth boom bar speaker. Placement of The Cabin is close to the back of the house which provides privacy for guests. WiFi is available.

Calderwood Annexe

Beautifully renovated, quiet and light self contained annexe offering breath taking views of the River Spey valley. Snuggled in the heart of Speyside (between Aberlour & Rothes), Calderwood Annexe, is the perfect base from which to explore the world famous Whisky Country, Scottish Highlands, Cairngorm National Park and Moray Coastal Trail. Free from noise or light pollution, surrounded by woodland and wonderful open countryside, Calderwood Annexe offers complete peace and serenity.

McFarlane Lodge has an open planned lounge and dinning area. The comfortable lounge includes a wood burning stove, SmartTV and a large dining table. The kitchen includes dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, microwave, Dolce Gusto coffee machine and a fridge/freezer. There are two bedrooms, one contains a double bed. The second room contains two queen beds. Towels are provided.

Taighsona Bothy is located in the heart of Speyside, with incredible views out over Ben Rinnes and the Convals. We are peacefully situated only a few minute’s walk from Archiestown and on the famous Malt Whisky Trail. Aberlour and the famous Speyside Way are a short walk down through the stunning countryside and forest. Dufftown and Craigellachie are a few minutes drive away.
