Wenn man die Natur liebt und mal so richtig abschalten möchte, ist die Hütte ein absoluter Geheimtipp! Due kleine Schneeschuhwanderung zur Hütte im Winter ist inklusive und wirklich schön. Die Schneeschuhe und Schlitten standen alle am Parkplatz bereit für uns, und wir konnten dem Weg des Schneemobils zur Hütte problemlos folgen. Die Hütte ist sehr gemütlich, ein zentraler Kamin heizt schnell ein. Wir verbrachten gemütliche Abende am Kamin und im Kerzenlicht. Und dann wurde unser Aufenthalt mit den atemberaubenden Nordlichtern gekrönt. Alles in allem ein schöner Aufenthalt und wunderbar um allen Stress zurück zu lassen.

The house was nice , warm and cozy. Feel like home. The location was great. Just 3 mins to supermarket and 3 mins to Sweden. The view was breathtaking. Amazing

This stay was 10 minutes away from many activities, very close to the ski resort, and very quiet. Pasi was very responsive and proactive- gave us very good recommendations and gave us updates on the best time to catch the aurora! Highly recommend this stay:)

Magnifique chalet pour passer des vacances en famille. Très facile d’accès et en même temps seule dans la forêt. De belles balades directement a pieds. On a bcp apprécié le sauna et les aurores boréales visible du jardin si le temps est dégagé :)

Wir haben es absolut geliebt! Die Hütte ist total heimelig und lädt zu gemütlichen Spielenachmittagen vor dem flackernden Ofen ein. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, sogar Basislebensmittel wie Mehl, Tee, div. Gewürze, Nudeln, Reis, etc. waren vorhanden. Nicht unwichtig wenn der nächste Supermarkt 70km entfernt ist. Keine fünf Gehminuten ist der See entfernt, ein perfekter Ort zum Polarlichter schauen. Freie Sicht in alle Richtungen, sofern es die Wolken zulassen ;-) Keine nennenswerte Lichtverschmutzung in der Umgebung, ein Traum. Tero hat uns auf Anfrage diverse Aktivitäten empfohlen, wodurch wir Janne, den Rentierzüchter in Unari kennengelernt haben. Das war wirklich eine besondere Erfahrung, zwischen hunderten von Rentieren zu stehen, die sich wie wild ums Futter getummelt haben. Wir sind uns wie in einer Tierdoku vorgekommen ;-) Also wer es gerne abgeschieden mag, ist hier genau richtig :-D

Das Ferienhaus ist gut gelegen, wenn man alleine sein möchte. 8km von der nächsten Strasse entfernt. Es ist direkt an einem See. Die Kommunikation mit Johanna ist jeweils grossartig und sehr freundlich. Die Unterkunft war sauber. Ist mit dem Auto einfach zu erreichen.

Notre hôte a été très attentionné de notre arrivée à notre départ. toujours de bon conseil avec nous, nous avons pu voir et faire ce que nous souhaitions en Finlande. la maison est idéalement située entre kitilla et rovianemie avec un supermarché à 5 min , au calme dans une forêt. la maison est encore plus belle que sur les photos et il y a tout le confort. aucune pollution lumineuse aux alentours, nous avons pu voir les aurores boréales sur place. c'était magique et magnifique.

My stay at Taistos house was absolutely perfect! The accommodation was spotlessly clean and fully equipped – the kitchen had everything needed for cooking. The private sauna was a highlight and provided pure relaxation. The view was breathtaking, and I was lucky enough to see stunning Northern Lights right from the accommodation. An unforgettable experience! I highly recommend Taisto and would love to come back anytime.

Les +: - emplacement parfait pour voir des aurores boréales (nous en avons vu dans la cour devant !!) - bien à 1 station de bus du centre ville - tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner était laissé à disposition (huile, riz, pâtes, etc…) - un super sauna dans la maison - un très grand supermarché à 10 min à pied - hôte très réactif - maison très propre - checkin et checkout flexibles - arrivée autonome - quartier très calme et safe - les radiateurs fonctionnaient très bien, nous n’avons jamais eu froid dans la maison - smart tv Les -: - la tête de lit n’est pas pratique :) je m’y suis cogné au moins 4 fois - le lavabo pour sa toilette et se brosser les dents n’est pas dans la salle d’eau, mais dans les toilettes Nous nous sommes senti comme à la maison et c’était pour nous un merveilleux moment de voir les aurores boréales !!!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist bequem und gemütlich eingerichtet. Das fantastisch gelegene und ausgerüstete Saunahaus wird mit den Besitzern geteilt was absolut kein Problem ist. Das ganze Grundstück ist gepflegt und liegt schön an einem grossen See. Die Sicht über den See mit Polarlichtern ist unvergesslich. Ausserordentlich freundliche Vermieter die sich sehr grosse Mühe geben. Jukka hat uns sehr gute Tipps für die Umgebung gegeben. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We spent 10 days in this beautiful house in beautiful surroundings. The magnificent lake closeby, the remoteness and still having Pello and Rovaniemi at a good driving distance, the quietness and every morning that lovely view from all of the windows, the sauna, the crisp morning air, ....we look back at a fantastic time : we fell in love with Pello-Lappi. Thank you Aini and Risto and Hanna, for letting us spend time on your property ; it was a privilege. Thank you for the personal stories you shared, for your kindness, your friendlyness. We would love to be back and see the place in an other season.

The host was very responsive. I booked the place during evening time and I was able to go in soon after. The apartment is also close to museum and decent walking distance away from the city center. Also during winter time it is easy to walk to next to the river to watch Auroras (if there is any). Overall a nice experience.

Erinomainen viihtyisä pieni asunto rauhallisella paikalla Sodankylän keskustan tuntumassa. Asunnon keittiö on poikkeuksellisen hyvin varusteltu, ja sauna oli yksi parhaista pikkusaunoista, mitä on vastaan tullut. Viestintä Lean ja asioita paikan päällä hoitavan Miran kanssa sujuivat hienosti ja viivytyksettä. Olin ensimmäistä kertaa Sodankylässä, ja tykkäsin kovasti. Löysin lähistöltä Porotokka -nimisen Juhani Maijalan porotilan, siellä täytin styrox-laukkuni seuraavien viikkojen tarpeita varten - huomattavasti kaupan hintoja edullisemmin. Koska on talviaika ja olin matkalla Levin keväthangille, etsin ja löysin myös Sodankylästä hiihtomaastot: varuskunnan takaa, vähän sotilaskodista (sotkusta) eteenpäin löytyy lähtöpaikka hyville 5 ja 15 km reiteille. Tätä asuntoa kysyn, jos tulen uudestaan Sodankylään.

Wir hatten einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt in dieser wunderschönen Unterkunft. Die Lage ist traumhaft – ruhig, abgeschieden und mitten in der atemberaubenden Natur. Die Umgebung hatte es uns wirklich angetan. Wer Glück hat kann Rentiere und Nordlichter direkt von der Terrasse, der Sauna oder dem Whirlpool aus beobachten. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet – es war wirklich alles da, was man braucht. Ausreichend Handtücher, genug Feuerholz, kuschlige Decken & eine Spülmaschine. Wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

An exceptional stay! The location is perfect—close to the main town yet nestled in a peaceful, private setting. The house is impeccably clean, with a very comfortable interior, and the bed and pillows are of outstanding quality. The amenities were top-notch. The jacuzzi and sauna were spotless and easy to use, and having our own ice pool was an absolute highlight! The view of the northern lights from the lakeside location was simply unparalleled—hands down the best spot to witness this natural wonder. Thank you, Lauri, for your warm hospitality and for making our stay unforgettable!

This is an ideal place to stay in Lapland. It is 20 mins drive from the airport and Santa Clause visit, so easy to reach, but also in a very quiet and idyllic location. The host is very friendly and always easy to contact. I took my daughters (8 and 11) and they loved it, especially the sledging around the cabin. Also a great spot to see the northern lights.

Nice place to stay with the family or a small group.of friends. 10 minutes walk over the frozen lake and we were able to see (dim) northern lights. Jukka was very kind to us.

Johanna's place was fantastic. We stayed with 2 children under 10 and an easy 20 to 30 min walk to Santa's Village. The home was clean and warm and had everything we needed. Both rooms were spacious and the living area was beautifully presented and perfect for breakfast together before a day out in the snow. Johanna was helpful with check in time to suit our flight arrival. A great base for a lovely family holiday. Thank you again, Johanna

A truly unique & alternative experience away from the more touristy/gimmicky options in Lapland. Teemu is an amazing host & made sure we had the perfect stay. When we arrived, he welcomed us with a warm fire, a snow-chilled bottle of champagne & an evening sleigh ride down the frozen river. When we didn’t have plans, he gave us local suggestions & made phone calls on our behalf. His adventures/experiences were also so much fun & we would highly recommend booking at least one dinner as well as his privately guided snowmobile trip. Teemu is a fantastic chef and we greatly enjoyed a 3 course salmon meal in the cozy & pleasantly decorated dinner cabin. The snowmobile ride is worth the price considering you get a 4hour trip across Teemu’s expansive private land & away from the public trail network. Lunch & photography also included. This is one of our favorite Airbnb’s to date & the pictures don’t do it justice. Our stay surpassed all expectations. Very happy we booked!

Una estancia increíble, de película! Maikku y Jurko han sido unos anfitriones increíbles, nos han ayudado con toda la información que necesitábamos y han estado siempre pendientes de que todo fuera perfecto. La casa es super bonita, calentita y equipada con todo, con unas vistas preciosas y una Sauna increíble, que se puede alternar con salir al patio y ya es una experiencia top! El esquí por el lago helado ha sido increíble, y hemos tenido la suerte de una Nochevieja con el cielo despejado y unas auroras increíbles!! Nos pudimos hacer buenas fotos en el lago y nos quedamos dormidos viendo auroras desde la cama! Nos consideramos muy afortunados por habernos alojado en la casa de Jurko y Maikku!! Lo mejor de nuestro viaje!! Muchas gracias a los dos por un recuerdo para siempre!
