The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

A semi-detached 2 bedroom apartment overlooking park like surroundings & view of Oakura Beach & the Tasman Sea. A very short walk will have the sand between your toes and/or a dip in the sea. Entry into the apartment is via your own front door with an outside lock-box holding the key. The apartment has 2 good size bedrooms, both with wardrobes for storage. Bath robes are supplied for up to 4 guests. In the well appointed lounge/dining room area you will also find a TV, CD player & FM radio.

Oakura Studio

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. The studio is separate, fully fenced, lovely and private. It includes a relaxing little Zen garden area. The TV includes Netflix. The kitchenette has a microwave, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, coffee pods, kettle & fridge. The stunning Oakura surf beach and Black Sand Pizzeria is just a 15 minute walk away, the cute little Oakura village, cafes and restaurants, a 12 minute walk away, and the Kaitake Ranges a 15 minute walk.

Light and Airy in Oakura

A lovely, modern getaway that's lovely to come home to after a day at the beach or sightseeing around the region. Adrienne's place is comfy and cosy and has everything you will need for a relaxing stay. You can cook in or eat out in one of the local restaurants which are all walking distance. There is also a FourSquare about 200 metres away for your convenience. The northern end of the beach and Oakura River can be accessed a few hundred metres away.

The Black Yurt

MAX OCCUPANCY 2 Adults & 2 Children under 12 The Black Yurt is situated within Oakura. The surf beach, a number of cafes/restaurants, a pharmacy and a convenience store are within walking distance. Several hiking trails can be found nearby. Accessible via a private staircase, this yurt offers you a comfortable king-size bed, lounge area and kitchenette. The bath and shower are outdoors. A separate small building contains the toilet.

We are two minutes from Lake Mangamahoe Walking track and Mountain Bike park, you can be in New Plymouth in ten minutes and be up North Egmont in 15 minutes. Our beautiful cottage is perfect for a couples or small families. Enjoy an amazing view of Mt Taranaki out of the bedroom windows. We provide towels, face cloths and all bed linen.

Ideal for two, it’s perfect for couples seeking a getaway, but can sleep up to four guests with an additional floor mattress. The bathroom and kitchenette are in a separate detached space. There is no WiFi and limited reception, inviting you to switch off and embrace the serenity away from everyday life.

This property is in a quiet residential neighbourhood. You will love the open plan living, kitchen, dining, and lounge area, which flows into another large games room and out onto the pool deck. The barbeque outdoor area is ready for dining and enjoying the quiet evening and sunset. The owner is situated onsite but in their own private studio which is attached to the house. It is a low level noise home.
