Great location & great hospitality!! The airbnb is located in quite posh area. The mall, polo street market, restaurants etc are very close to the location, almost walkable. The host & staff are very hospitable. They gave us great recommendations for food & places to visit. This property is more like a guest house. You’ll have separate floor to yourself with 3BHk/4BHK. Breakfast is complementary and is served in common dinning area for all the accommodating guests. It was overall value for money.

Our stay at Aamir's place was a delightful experience, even if it was just for a night. Their hospitality began right from the moment we landed at the airport. They had arranged a ride for us, not only for our airport pick-up, but also for our transportation needs around the city of Srinagar and to our subsequent destination, Gulmarg. We want to make a special mention of Bilal, who was our driver. Bilal ensured our travels were smooth and safe Munir was a friendly and accommodating host. He went the extra mile to cater to our needs, making sure we were comfortable and that everything was to our liking, made our stay even more memorable. The place itself was a sight to behold. It was just as beautiful as it was in the photos, with its elegant decor and welcoming ambiance. We found ourselves wishing we had the luxury of time to extend our stay for a few more days. We look forward to returning to stay a little longer to fully soak in the beauty of the place and hospitality.

Munir took care of us like family. Very kind & generous. Always quick to respond. He gave us right directions to reach the place, always ready to help. They even offered to clean our car. Staff wonderful. Very nice place. Clean bath room. Hot water available. Warm beds. Felt like staying in a very private summer home.

Aamir sir is a great host and very welcoming. We stayed at My Kashmir Home on our way back from an exhausting 7 day trek. Aamir sir and his team took great care in helping us recover and refresh. If you are looking for a quiet and luxurious stay and experience the best in Kashmiri hospitality, go for this one. P.S. - If you’re a group, request for the Kashmiri wazwan experience. Our stay at Shabir bhai's houseboat was truly exceptional. Despite arriving ill, I felt immediately at ease thanks to his warm hospitality. Shabir bhai created a comfortable, disturbance-free environment with all necessary amenities for my parents and me. His homemade meals were delicious, and the morning shikara ride he arranged was delightful. What stood out most was Shabir bhai's honest advice about places to visit, which was refreshingly free from the commission-based recommendations we'd encountered elsewhere in Kashmir. Thanks to his suggestion, we discovered the beautiful Badamwari, which wasn't originally on our itinerary. This hidden gem became a highlight of our trip. For anyone seeking a genuine, hospitable experience on Dal Lake, Shabir bhai's houseboat is the perfect choice. Thank you for making our stay so memorable, Shabir bhai ❤️

What's one thing you look for when you are searching for say a cottage or a cabin or a homestay? Quietness, serenity with a pinch of belonging. Property at birdwood cottages provide you just that, situated away from the hustle bustle of the city and also the crowded Mall road of Dalhousie, this place submits you to just relax. Great location, beautiful interiors, great caretakers who make great home made food of your choice. touristy spots are not too far away, ample car parking place, good wifi. The best part of the stay has to be the 2-3 km flat trail circuit in the woods to rejuvenate your mornings. i think late September to early December is the best time to enjoy the flora & fauna of this place before the snow engulfs the area.

We stayed at Aamir’s place in July 2024 when we visited Kashmir for the first time with our families. Aamir, Muneer and Aadil made the entire experience extremely comfortable. The very day we arrived, we were upgraded without asking for it as they saw that my mum in law can’t walk a lot so we were given the rooms close to the entrance. We arrived quite late (around 10pm) because of flight delays and had no idea where we will find food from at this hour but they made sure that we don’t sleep hungry. They prepared a full meal this late in the night and for all days that we stayed there, even if we needed something at 1am in the night, they were all happy to help. The place is beautiful and very nicely maintained. They have a beautiful garden just behind the rooms where we had breakfast and made some core memories. Aamir also recommended some places to visit and helped make transport arrangements. Thank you for the amazing hospitality. This was home away from home.

Cozy, comfy stay at this lovely cottage! Located in a quiet, wooded area a little outside of the main town, yet easy enough to access, with lovely walks around the place. Kamal and Akshay were always at hand to assist with anything, and to rustle up simple, delicious food. Happy to have found this charming stay in Dalhousie.

It was my repeat stay at Shuja's place after 7 years. He is great host and always there to help. He ensured stay was comfortable. He went of his way and came to airport to receive us. Which was very nice gesture. House is walkable from Dal lake and we can enjoy the garden as well fromhere easily. He ensured good itinerary for rest of trip also. A friend's home.

Beautiful Surroundings, Very Spacious Bungalow, Great food prepared by the Caretakers (Tilak Raj & Pritpal) Dal prepared by them is a must try!! They were very Helpful & shared a lot of information! Road approach of the last 1-2 kms is a bit rough & risky, expert driver should be able to manage. But it's absolutely worth it when you reach the property!!

Shabir is a SUPERB host! He was considerate and attentive, ensuring our stay was comfortable., Check-in instructions were detailed and his responses quick. Shabir was respectful of our privacy yet always available when needed. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. The Houseboat itself was pristine and beautifully decorated with local handicrafts. Shabir has done an incredible job preserving its character and authenticity while offering modern conveniences. It has everything you’d need, from comfortable beds, lounging chairs, hot shower/bath, toiletries, utensils & extra blankets. The dining set is a work of art, carved in walnut wood. The views of the mountains, the lake left us in awe, especially at sunrise and sunset. We were surrounded with water lilies. The scenic serenity was perfect. We loved our stay here & recommend it very highly to everyone! Thanks for such a lovely stay Shabir, we look forward to seeing you again.
