Royal Family of Achrol was an important part of the "Barah Kothri" or twelve leading chiefs of the Jaipur state. The present Rajadhiraj Mahendra Singh continues to reside in one part of palace and while the other part of the palace has been converted into a Heritage Hotel. The Palace is a confluence of architecture from British, Mughal, and Rajputana. It is situated in a prime location in the heart of Jaipur city and is a favorite spot for both business travellers and tourists alike. Rawla Mrignayani is a family run heritage property that has been restored from a 300 Years old Natwara Haveli built by “ Rao Kripa Ram” of Chaksu, the Prime Minister of then Jaipur State. It was later taken over by the rulers of Jaipur and the Haveli was given as a grant to the nobles of Karnot, descendents of “Veer Durga Das Rathore” - a warrior who could have become the ruler of Marwar but ensured it went to its rightful heir in the 17th Century.
