This was a great escape from the bustle of the city. We loved the hot tub and the spacious kitchen. We made many meals to save money. If I come back to Scotland, will definitely stay here again.

Staying at the Old Mission House was a tonic. The house is spacious, very well proportioned and tastefully furnished whilst the kitchen is comprehensively kitted out - down to blender and spices!. All appliances are modern and effortless to use (particularly the electric space heaters). Above all they fit the bill, are appropriately sized and located and function perfectly. The situation of the house is wonderful and the creatively landscaped garden which stretches and gives access to the lochside is heavenly. All you need is some cooperative weather - ideally with some sun. Should it be pouring, all is not lost as the 270 deg. views from the house can equally be enjoyed from within and are very immersive. We had a wonderful few days staying in this lovely, cosy cottage, right on the edge of the Loch. The view from both inside and from the garden was jaw-dropping and even when the fog came down, it was a joy to be able to hear the waves lapping on the beach. The village is incredibly quiet and we had excellent meals in both the Loch Bay Resturant and the Stein Inn. Stein is the perfect calm retreat at the end of a day touring the Island. We found so much to see, do and explore - West House was a perfect base!

Wonderful apartment with amazing views in a terrific location. Very comfortable and warm. Sarah was welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay.

Clean, spacious, warm and quiet home on a quiet residential road. The property overlooks a loch joining the sea and is great for calm and quiet. Mac was very responsive and we had no problems. We loved the space and it was a well equipped kitchen which is not always a given. WiFi was great if you need it and the heating etc was all straightforward and effective. Lovely having two bathrooms too. Near various historic sites. And also pretty beaches (20-30 mins drive), and a lovely play park if you have kids near Eoropie Beach.

Die Unterkunft ist zwar etwas älter aber war genauso wie beschrieben. Preis Leistung im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften auf der Insel top! Das Schlafzimmer war etwas hellhörig zu den Übermietern. Mit der Waschmaschine/Trockner kamen wir nicht klar, kann aber an uns gelegen haben. Sonst alles perfekt! Super Lage um die Insel zu erkunden und nur wenige Meter vom Tesco und der Fähre. Gute Parkmöglichkeiten vor der Türe. Sehr hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Wir würden wiederkommen.

I highly recommend this Airbnb. It is a wonderful old Scottish croft cottage on the shores of a beautiful bay. It has a great location for getting to Stornoway and for exploring the island. The walks along the shore from the cottage are spectacular. The host lives in a nearby farm house and is very helpful. Book it if you can!

Wonderful location, right on a beautiful sandy beach. The cottage was really nice with everything we needed. It was a great base to explore Lewis and Harris. As someone who likes to watch birds, there was lots of activity in the area. There are sea eagles in the area, I saw them flying above the cottage 6 out of the 7 days we were there.

Amazing place! It was great stay. We had nice and peaceful vacation in this place. I want to highlight the detailed instructions for each and every utility in this house. It was very helpful. Thank you to our host for the opportunity to recharge in that nice house.

Norman and Leona are very friendly and great hosts. The cottage was cosy clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is looking out to the most beautiful beach and scenery. 5min walk to beach. If you like peace and tranquility this is the place to stay. It's location is ideal to travel to other parts of the island. Norman and Leona are around if you need help with anything but they do not intrude on your privacy. I would definitely recommend to stay here. Thank you Norman and Leona we had an amazing holiday.

Very helpful host and close to Stornaway and all amenities

Wir verbrachten während unseres Trips von Oban über die Äusseren Hebriden (Barra, Uist, Lewis and Harris) nach Edinburgh drei Nächte in den Lochview Pods. Die Unterkunft war sauber, die Gastgeberin freundlich und man hatte von den Pods her schöne Seesicht. Aufgrund der Küstennähe war während der Nacht die Umgebung etwas windig, was man in den Pods gut hören konnte. Wenn man sich Campen gewohnt ist, sollte dies jedoch nicht den Schlaf beeinträchtigen.

Amazing place, easy check in and very clean house. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back again!

We've just returned from a week in Miavaig. Firstly, I loved all the touches Carol had made to the bedrooms. Lovely linen, towels, face cloths, soaps etc. The kitchen had everything we needed. There were toys for the kids, board games, dvds, books and a garage with dart board, table tennis and extra fridge and freezer space. But it's the location that really makes this place special. There are beautiful beaches in both directions. It's so quiet and peaceful. We spent the week travelling around Lewis and Harris but made sure to spend our last day around our house having special family time at the beach and cooking an Easter Sunday meal. Thanks Carol, your home is a wonderful place.

I wish there were more stars to accurately portray the experience we had at Magz’s house. She and her husband were the warmest, friendliest people we have ever met. Magz was the ultimate host, her cooking is beyond excellent. A bed and breakfast where you worry you have paid enough for. Words cannot describe how enjoyable our stay was. Thank you both so much.

Everything about the stay at the Grimsay Cabin was amazing! The space was spacious, modern, beautifully decorated. It had loads of tech which is unexpected but a great treat and we were welcomed with the best hamper of local goods. Travelling with a baby and a dog, this was the perfect place to accommodate us all which can be hard to find, Amy even provided a high chair and toys which were lovely and so helpful to have. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The hot tub was also a lovely treat for the evening with amazing views. We wished we were staying for longer here and will hopefully be back some day! Thank you so much for an amazing start to our roadtrip around the Outer Hebrides!
