The guesthouse is 10m across the garden from our house. My returning guests love how close we are to the city, yet you'll feel you’ve escaped it. You can get to the airport quickly and directly access native bush walks. Our unique village hosts Wellington's best bakery and Chocolatier! Grab a bite and a beverage here or jump on a bus heading into the city.

Enjoy your stay in the lovely suburb of Island Bay, just 5 minutes walk to Island Bay Beach and the lovely south coast of the North Island. Come and enjoy sunset walks on the beach, our local brewery, a cosy cinema with great café and you will be spoilt for choice with lots of places to eat ethnic foods (dine in or take away). Suited for a couple or two singles.

The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse is a unique, romantic place on the South Coast. Stunning views, opposite a swimming and dog beach plus rock pools, it’s great for walks. With a comfy double bed and steep stairs, it’s private and quiet - brilliant on a sunny day, cosy in a storm. There's a fantastic cafe around the corner; shops are 10 minutes’ walk away. The main Island Bay bus stop is nearby with regular buses. It's a 9 minute drive to the airport and 15 minutes to downtown Wellington. Small dogs on request.

This is a studio unit under our house with own access from street. There is no outdoor space. Comfortable queen bed, electric blankets. The couch is not a bed. Washing machine/dryer, and washing powder supplies. Kitchen has hot plates, microwave and small bench top oven. Fridge and freezer. Sky TV. Open robe for storage. Ensuite has toilet, basin, shower, no bath. Unit is stylish and well designed, and in great condition. There is space for a SMALL car to park directly outside.
