Sæból remote farm, Westfjords

Sæból is a historic farm in one of the most remote parts of Iceland. Visitors will find a truly authentic experience of life in the Westfjords, past and present. It provides amazing access to the mountains and the sea, and the opportunity to enjoy the remoteness and quiet that make the Westfjords so special. In Sæból lives a friendly sheep farmer known as Bettý (my mother) and she is the last remaining resident of Ingjaldssandur. She also makes beautiful handcrafts that she sells at her house.

Albertshús

Beautiful house in the heart of Ísafjörður, built by Albert and Guðný in 1890 and has stayed in the family ever since. Passionately restored from 2016-2021, it's now the home of Haukur, Vaida and their two boys. Every little detail has been taken into consideration. It's stylish and comfortable, complete with an AGA stove and floor heating to keep everyone warm and dry. Albertshús is the perfect base for your Westfjords adventure. You'll be sharing the space with our furry cat lady Hosa.

Warm and cozy place by the sea

A cozy apartment perfectly located in Ísafjörður. Staying near the town center, by the coast, you get the perks of town life while enjoying the calming sound of waves hitting the shore. Limited light pollution gives you a better chance of seeing the Northenlights without having to go far. A baby cot can be provided upon request. The flat consists of a bedroom with a double bed (140cm), a bathroom, and a hall with a closet, a convertible dining area, fridge, freezer and an electric kettle.

Skipstjórahúsið

Velkomin í Skipstjórahúsið – eitt glæsilegasta og sögufrægasta hús Þingeyrar. Húsið er með fjögur hlýleg svefnherbergi, eldhúsi, borðstofu og stofu þar sem hægt er að slaka á eftir ævintýri dagsins. Baðkar með sturtu er á salerninu á neðri hæðinni. En klósett á efrihæð. Taka má fram að brattur stigi er upp á efri hæðina þar sem gistiaðstaða er. Hvort sem þú vilt gista í hlýlegu herbergi eða leigja allt húsið fyrir fjölskyldu, vinahóp eða vinnuferð – þá er Skipstjórahúsið frábær kostur.

Welcome to our farmhouse in "Lækur in Dýrafjörður" where you'll be greeted by unique natural beauty. The house stands on 80 hectares of ground where you'll find beautiful views, scenic hiking trails, and spectacular natural beauty and tranquility all around, all year around. There is access to a private beach with private road to it. The area is sensitive in the summer time because of eider birds and needs to be treated carefully and with respect.
