My house in Forestville is a walk to the river (Steelhead County Beach), near endless wineries, canoe rentals, gorgeous Sonoma coast beaches, Santa Rosa airport, a bicycle trail through West County with bike rentals in downtown Forestville offering immediate access to the trail, and a very well-stocked little grocery store a 5-minute walk down the hill. Lovely back roads take you to Healdsburg to the north or Sebastopol to the south. My dog & I stay in a basement studio when guests are here.

Walk to restaurants, movie theater, The Barlow, Sebastopol Center for the Arts, town plaza with Sunday Farmer's Market, library, Ives Park (public swimming pool). Bike path is nearby. Bike to wineries.

The Perch

Overlooking a fern grotto and redwood valley, The Perch lets you experience nature up close. Come unwind and luxuriate in nature. Limited cell service. The room INSIDE has a bed, toilet, sink, mini-fridge, microwave, and electric hot water kettle. OUTSIDE a claw foot tub/shower, private deck & outside kitchen with a gas burner stove. Very rural. My sunny '70s, Sea Ranch style, 2 bedroom cabin with exposed redwood cathedral beam ceilings has amazing canyon and redwood tree views. There's a hot tub, too. It's in a very special neighborhood with really nice people. And it's close to some of the best wineries in the Russian River Valley.
