Welcome to the Little House on the Edge of the Big Woods. Come relax on our homestead in Northeast Michigan. This newly constructed chalet style home sits on 10 acres. Relax and view the cattle grazing in the fields or the whitetail deer foraging around. To the South is our homestead style farm which is home to our Scottish Highland cattle, mini horse, pigs, chickens, cats, and bunnies. To the North is the Huron National Forest. The city of East Tawas is only a short 4.5 mile drive as well.

The Loft at Little Island Lake Resort

The Loft at Little Island Lake Resort is located on the shores of Little Island Lake. It sleeps up to 5 people, with two full size beds and a twin sleeper sofa. There is also a small patio, which includes a bistro set and a view of the entire property. It also features a fully stocked kitchenette with mini fridge, toaster, griddle, and microwave. All guests have use of kayaks, standup paddle boards, a 4-seater paddle boat, and fishing gear. Life vests are provided and required.

The quaint town of East Tawas is only minutes away that offers wonderful shops & restaurants. Tawas beach (Lake Huron) is less than 2 miles away. Van Etten Lake is a year-round all-sports Lake for boating, fishing, kayaking, jet skiing, canoeing, water skiing, tubing, swimming, and ice fishing.
