We are situated close to main routes in Taranaki but in a small town only 15 minutes from New Plymouth. You will need to have your own transport when staying with us as public transport is almost non-existent with only 2 buses a day. We have offroad parking. There are a lot of activities available to you including walking tracks, surfing, cycling & beautiful parks to explore.

A little bit of country

Guest room separate to the main house. Its a large studio room with en-suite. We're out in the country on a large lifestyle block, only 5mins from Inglewood which is a great little town, and 20mins from New Plymouth. Its a peaceful spot with a great view of Mt Taranaki from our garden. Our place is shared with 1 friendly dog (outside dog), 2 cats, chickens and cattle on the farm. From Sept - Oct we may have lambs that are being hand fed. :-)

Orchard Cottage

Orchard Cottage is a lovely relaxing place for a family/ couple or someone in Taranaki for work to stay. It has 2 living areas, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. There is a queen bed, double bed and double fold out in the the second living area. Plus a small laundry area. The cottage has a nice covered outdoor eating area and BBQ with a lovely rural outlook. It is located on our property with good parking and fully fenced.

The Black Yurt

MAX OCCUPANCY 2 Adults & 2 Children under 12 The Black Yurt is situated within Oakura. The surf beach, a number of cafes/restaurants, a pharmacy and a convenience store are within walking distance. Several hiking trails can be found nearby. Accessible via a private staircase, this yurt offers you a comfortable king-size bed, lounge area and kitchenette. The bath and shower are outdoors. A separate small building contains the toilet.
