We had a great stay at this modern apartment right in the city center of Akureyri! The location couldn’t be better—everything we needed was within walking distance, including grocery stores, great restaurants, and couple of good cafes. Being near a couple of roads and a bus stop, there was a bit of city noise at times, but it didn’t take away from our overall experience. The apartment itself was stylish, clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen was especially impressive—modern, well-equipped, and perfect for cooking a meal during our stay. Bathroom sink had a drainage problem but the host addressed it the next day. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable home base in the city!

L'alloggio di Nina è molto bello. Gli spazi sono ampi e luminosi con una bellissima vista sulla città e il mare. Il centro città si raggiunge a piedi facilmente e vicino ci sono vari supermercati. L'arredamento ha gusto e personalità e ci si sente come a casa. Letti comodi, bagno pulito e funzionale. La cucina è abbastanza completa, anche se manca qualche posata e piatti aggiuntivi. Ci sono vari elettrodomestici e caffettiere per preparare vari tipi di caffè. Il divano del soggiorno è comodo e rilassante. Spazi perfetti per quattro persone. Nina è sempre stata reattiva e disponibile. Grazie!

This place was gorgeous right on the beach and the interior was so well done and thoughtful from the host. It is a bit a way from food so recommend bringing at least snacks. Also of course that hot tub is to die....it is so amazing and the best way to end our trip before we hopped on an airplane.

We loved staying in Anna's apartment! She is an amazing and kind hostess. The apartment looks even better than the pictures, very clean and comfortable. Includes all the amenities you could need and the location, although not in the center, it's really accessible (if you rent a car) and the neighborhood is nice. The building has an elevator which was a plus. Would stay there again.

Siggi was very friendly and helpful for our trip. The car he provided was very useful and reliable. The place was quite, clean, and warm just like home.

We loved our stay here! Location was great - only a few mins from bus stop 3, which is where the airport bus and tours picked up/dropped off. Supermarket near by too. Accommodation itself had everything we needed and made our stay in Reykjavík very enjoyable!

This was our second time staying with Vidar and Inga Lara, and we hope it's not the last. We've traveled all around the world, and they're truly the best hosts we've ever had. They're so warm and welcoming, and their dog is cute, too! This place is a must-stay, especially if you have children. There's an awesome playground across the street that they absolutely love, and it's a quick walk or drive to downtown. If your family is staying in Reykjavik, this is your place!

Our group had an incredible stay! The location was the perfect balance of being wonderfully remote, offering peace and quiet, yet still conveniently close to several attractions. We loved coming back from a day of exploring, knowing we could unwind in such a serene setting. The property had everything we needed, including a fully equipped laundry, which made our stay so much easier. One of the highlights was being able to see the Northern Lights right from the property—an absolutely magical experience! We couldn’t have asked for a better spot and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation.

The house was great - extremely well located to see all that is available in Myvatn and well equipped. We were easily able to cook in the kitchen and although the house was small, there was plenty of room for our group of 5 (2 adults and 3 teens). Our only complaint was that the lights outside of the house couldn't be shut off. They were on a timer and stayed on from 6 pm to 6 am. They shone in all the windows all night, requiring us to use the blackout shades, and made it difficult to see and photograph the northern lights, which were fantastic while we were there. We had to go down the road to take photos. Consider this if you are looking for isolation and darkness - the home is located super close to attractions, yet far from everything, except it's own light pollution.

The barn house was beautifully built and decorated with spectacular views. The skylight windows were perfect for watching for the northern lights. The kitchen had all the basics and some extras like a nespresso machine and pods. We enjoyed cooking there and using the hot tub. The washer and dryer were super helpful. It was a great launching place for the Golden Circle. Stokkseyri is a cute little town with a great local pool. The turf house across the street was fun to explore as was the beach on the other side of the turf wall. It is very near Bakkahestar for highly recommended Icelandic horse rides with a local couple on the beach in Eyrarbakki. Nearby Selfoss has anything you need including an amazing fish market Fiskbud Suderlands for great prices on fresh caught local fish. Kristinn was very responsive and we loved our stay!

A stay at this lovely place gives you a high-end experience, no doubt. The house is spacious, clean, well organized, has super tasteful interiors, and a hot tub as the cherry on top! I was simply left with a "wow" after check in and seeing all the small details Thorunn pays attention to. She had made sure that we would not lack a thing, and the instructions she provided us with answered litterally every questions we had during our stay. What a perfect host Thorunn is! Highly recommend✨

Wir hatten einen schöne Zeit dort, wir haben alles so vorgefunden wie es beschrieben war. Lina , die Katze ist sehr süß und verschmust. Das Haus liegt am Rande der Wohnsiedlung, so mussten wir nur ein paar Schritte laufen um Nachts gut die Nordlichter sehen zu können. Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen!

Nous avons grandement apprécié notre séjour ici. La maison était bien plus grande que ce à quoi je m'attendais. Les lits étaient très confortables ! Ingibjörn s'est montré disponible et proactif, en plus d'être amical! Aussi, la maison est assez proche de Geysir et Gullfoss. Je recommande!

We loved the location. You’re in the heart of Reykjavik. The apartment is spacious and well-laid out. Bonus points for an accessible laundry room.

The apartment was very spacious, clean, comfortable with a lovely view of the little harbor nearby. It provided my son and I with a base to explore many of Iceland's attractions using our car rental. Getting into the city takes about 12 minutes by car and around 45 minute by bus. We opted to cook at home since there's not a lot of restaurants nearby. Generally speaking this was a fantastic place to stay and made our whole week in Iceland stress free and relaxing. The apartment also has great water pressure and lots of warm water!

Seven minutes drive to downtown Reykjavík. Great parking at the church for the cheapest parking price in town and incredibly secure. Average price was about half price or better of any hotel downtown. Savings allowed me to have a rental car and do some of my own touring. Parking was great on site at the apartment. Very clean building and facilities. YouTube was great for learning how to use the stove and wash washer/dryer.

We enjoyed our stay. The apartment has everything that you need. A great, well-equipped kitchen, washing machine and hanging line, nice warm shower and comfy beds. Good heating to keep you nice and warm on a cold evening and a short walk from all the shops and restaurants with a supermarket just up the hill. All you could ask for and very helpful host. Thank you for having us.

Hronn and her husband were fantastic. After a red eye flight, we were hoping to check in early. After reaching out, Hronn said we could check in at 10:15am! This was AMAZING! We actually happened to meet Hronn and her husband at the door and they were lovely people. Her husband even pointed out some things with the door to the parking garage. 10/10 would stay here again.

Great stay in Reykjavik! Highly recommend to anyone looking to spend some time in the city. Walkable to many museums, restaurants, and shops. Super convenient! The hot tub is an added bonus :)

Jon was a great host! The place was exactly as described, clean, quiet, safe and easy to walk to town. Jon even left a few food items for us. Kitchen and bathroom were fantastic (and stocked) but be careful with the Icelandic hot water, it’s hot. Would stay with him again and loved than Bonus grocery and Reykjavik Roasters was right there with a popular bus and hotel pickup location.

everything was awesome at this wonderful home in the best street in Reykjavik. highly recommend if you want to be in the middle of the city and walkable to highlights. Sigrun was also a very attentive host. I would ask a coffee bean grinder and press for those looking to brew their own coffee but the nespresso was plentifully stocked!! Tip to book a bus from airport like FlyBus which is far cheaper than the 150 to 200$ it otherwise costs for a taxi.

This was by far the best place we stayed during our visit to Iceland. The unit was nicely equipped from the kitchen to the linens. Location was walkable to dinner and local shopping. We were even able to walk to the docks for our whale watching excursion. Our only driving was to the Forest Lagoon hot springs (highly recommend them, we went twice)
