Treehouse in the Forest Canopy | Reclaimed Kauri

Wild Forest Treehouse Like a magic carpet ride in the canopy of the forest. A 120 year old Kauri villa was about to be torn down. We rescued the French doors, sarking, weatherboards, windows, flooring and shower fittings, then used them to build Wild Forest Treehouse. A space nestled into the forest slope, so that with all sets of French doors open, you're not looking down at the canopy. You're living inside it. Everything has had a life before this place. You can feel it.

Sneezle Beezle Beach Studio

The perfect escape at the beach - with no cleaning fees or other hidden charges. Self-contained, own entrance and carpark, Omapere Beach, legendary Hokianga sunset and dunes. As a Studio this apartment has a queen bed & sofa (converts to bed) in same open plan space. Omapere launch ramp 100m away, queen bed. Sofa converts to king single. Get ready for family fun in this peaceful 3 bedroom home. Overlooking the Rangitane reserve, watch from the deck as the kids play tennis or swing at the playground. Only 200m to the boat ramp to access the beautiful Bay of Islands. 15 minutes to supplies in Kerikeri or Waipapa. 8 minutes to Doves Bay marina. Little ones can swim at high tide at the reserve. Kayak around the inlet and catch a snapper, or wander the nearby bushtracks. Listen out for the local kiwi at night.

The Blue Dolphin, Opononi, Hokianga

"The Blue Dolphin" 25 Harbour View Drive, is a small charming 120 year old cottage in a unique location on the water's edge in Opononi, facing north with uninterrupted views of the harbour and sand dunes. The information centre is next door as is the 4 square, fish n chip shop and the Opononi Pub! The cottage, which we treasure, has been refurbished - it is our private oasis and is to be respected and enjoyed - it is the genuine much loved "kiwi bach".

Rustic Bush Retreat

Tranquil and private, a beautiful Macrocapa post and beam house overlooking the gorgeous Kerikeri Inlet. A haven for relaxation surrounded by native birds, including kiwis, tuis, fantails and wood pigeons, all living on the property. Enjoy a wine on the veranda and watch the boats go by or take a swim at Opito bay- just 5 minutes away. Plenty of room to park the boat plus two launching ramps, a ski lane and some of the best fishing NZ has to offer!

Ahipara Surf Breaks

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids). We have easy access to the property with a lock up double garage plus off street parking (even for a boat). The beach is only a short walk from the house. We live in a house on the same property so we are always available to help with any questions you have. Surfboards and boogie boards are available for use free of charge.

The Cowshed Cottage
