We'll meet at my house in Inverness and drive to the start of our hike through native woodland over a single track road that borders the shore of Loch Ness. We'll then walk down through the forest navigating through the trails to enable the best views of the falls. On the way I'll chat about the history of the location and its connection with Robbie Burns, pointing out some of the hidden inscriptions and poems found on rocks as we walk to the lookout areas for the falls.
We'll then head further down through the trails and wonderful scenery as I explain more about the ecology of the area and we'll keep our eyes peeled for deer, red squirrel and if we're really lucky we may see signs of Otters, eventually we'll emerge on the banks of Loch Ness where a certain beastie lives. We head along the shoreline to discover some of the old abandoned huts and climb up to a hidden monument that overlooks the loch. We continue through old burial grounds, stopping at the disused bridge for more photos, and a view up along the lower falls river. Returning gently back up through the forest and gorge to the top where we will have a well-deserved cake and coffee/tea in the Waterfall Cafe.
Other things to note
Guests need to have a moderate level of fitness and the ability to walk a good 3 miles. Please ONLY consider this tour if your health allows for this kind of activity.

古代の要塞遺跡で夕日を楽しむ
This is a chance to experience a sunset high up at the old hill fort known as Craig Phadrig above the Beauly Firth.
It’s an evening start as we need to meet up and drive the short distance to the area and climb to the top for the sunset - but it will all be worth it!
At the location I will help in you getting the best from your camera and ensure you take some super sunset shots, we'l then have a picnic of shortbread and coffee.
The walk is around 1.5 hours there and back with time at the top it's normally 2 hours covering around 3km with a short ascent to the top. But we take it at your pace and with incredible scenery we stop for plenty of photos as we catch our breath on the way up!
You do need to be prepared for windy and chilly weather, even in summer and it may mean that our picnic is a speedy one, or we have it lower down the hill once we have seen the sunset. In the case of rain we may not be able to see a sunset, but the tour will still go ahead as it's still a great walk!
Other things to note
Guests need to have a moderate level of fitness and the ability to walk a hilly 3 miles. Please ONLY consider this tour if your health allows for this kind of activity.

Meet the Achpopuli Farm residents and have a wild wander
Join me on an informative farm walk, touring the different habitats and discussing nature friendly farming, regenerative agriculture and any other subjects that come up!
We'll start with a cuppa and some locally made snacks. This is a chance to get to know each other a bit, to know what your interests are and if you want a particular slant on the tour and discussions.
Then we will visit the sheep flock, cattle, see the ducks and geese at work, explore the agroforestry, heath, fens and bog and look at the wildlife that's present on the day. We can finish with a look at the fleeces and wool craft if that is of interest.
This is a chance to get a really intimate look at a small scale regenerative farm, discuss the ethos behind the methods, be shown all the small things that you may not notice on your own. Find out how different elements works together and why a holistic approach is needed - and how we can take this further to look at other aspects of our lives.
This is aimed at adults and young adults, if you would like to bring your kids please book a private group experience and I can tailor to the age of the children. (Please note this is not a petting farm though, if this is what you are after please visit Robertsons at Beauly or Dalmore Farm instead.)

Slow Food at Cleikum Social Eating Club
What could be better, after a day exploring the Highlands, than a traditional, Scottish dinner, hosted in a private home, with an expert cook and hostess to welcome you, and only you, where you will learn about the traditional recipes involved, and hear personal stories, in the spirit of conviviality that Slow Food stands for.
Each course is created from local produce, featuring some of the products contained in the Scottish Ark of Taste, such as Golspie Mill’s paese meal and oatmeal, Crowdie Cheese, Arbroath Smokies and Aberdeen Angus beef. But, not only that, the abundance of summer’s soft fruit, which make delicious breakfast dishes and desserts. Venison from the hills, and fresh fish and seafood from around the coast.
The dinner table is a modern day Cleikum Club, where food and wine is enjoyed and discussed, and your hostess is its landlady, Meg Dods (see Sir Walter Scott’s St. Ronan’s Well and “Meg Dods” The Cook and Housewife’s Manual (1826)).
Then the conversation will go where it will ...
