Garry & Lynne are just the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble when asking for advice or recommendations. The house is just perfect. Beautiful lounge and kitchen with everything you need. The bedding was so comfy and a wonderful in shower in each of the bathrooms. If you like walking this place is perfect. Great country park within walking distance. There are some great little villages about which are worth a trip. Watford town Centre has great shopping too. Don’t hesitate to book this little gem of accommodation.

Had such a lovely time here. Rooms were as shown in the pictures. Amazing heating, shower and great cooking facilities. Beautiful location. Lawrence was always very helpful with any questions we had and responded very quickly. No complaints at all! Highly recommend staying if you are visiting the area. The only improvement would be to make the property easier to find on check in. 10/10 would love to stay here again

The accommodation is located on a campsite, which creates a very cozy atmosphere. There are plenty of walking opportunities with little to no road crossings. The accommodation was clean and fully equipped for 4 to 5 people. The beds are comfortable, as are the sofas and other furnishings. Communication with the host was excellent, and we also had a contact person from the campsite available. Highly recommended!

Veronica and husband were great when i arrived for check in and then on hand if needed (which was hardly needed) gave me an excellent recommendation for a local walk which was brilliant. accomodation had so much character and was perfect for what we wanted it for.

A comfortable, quiet apartment over a garage next to the owner’s home. Spacious parking area in a gated drive. A small kitchen, but with everything you need. Comfortable open plan living room, kitchen and dining area. Walking distance to the station for trains to London. Bathroom is on the ground floor, which could be difficult for anyone having trouble with stairs. Sarah was a lovely, friendly host, greeting us as we arrived. And she kindly supplied milk, juice and some other welcome treats. Would gladly stay here again when visiting friends in the area.

The White Cottage hosted by Sally was so beautiful. We had a lovely relaxing break. Felt at home straight away and could relax instantly. The garden and hot tub area was also beautiful. Cannot recommend enough and wish our stay was longer.

We had an amazing stay! The home was so comfy and relaxing. Loved being able to take the children and dogs for long walks. Lovely local pub nearby. Angie and Charlie were very responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend!

We have just spent a long weekend at Ashmi's lovely house with our children, their partners and our grandchildren. The house was well equipped for all our needs and the welcome pack was well received. We loved the hot tub which we used several times during our stay. We spent a day at Duxford Airfield which is literally 10 mins down the road. If I had to say anything that could be improved it would be that maybe a few more pillows could be provided as some of the group struggled with just one pillow each, but it certainly didn't affect our enjoyment. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a large house to spend time with either family or friends.

Stephanie is a wonderful, generous host. Little Tanglewood is a beautiful house and a lovely spacious place to stay. We have stayed many times and it is always a joy to revisit. The house contains everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay and Stephanie is very responsive if you need support with anything. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

What a lovely break, from the moment we arrived we felt chilled. We had a warm welcome from Lucy who checked in to see if we needed anything and was so lovely as was her family. The studio was spacious and beautiful. We loved the well behaved and super friendly dogs, my husband was on first name terms with the cockerel and his clan, we have many photos of the cockerel leaning in to be stroked. The horses were also friendly and the river musical. We walked up the hill into the woods to see the bluebell carpeting the ground, visited the Chiltern open air museum, very lovely peaceful grounds and a great project run mainly on volunteers, and had been gifted a Groupon to do a piggy pet and play with Kew little pigs farm ltd. We would definitely recommend.

Perfect weekend get away. So peaceful and relaxing. Definitely recommend booking the sauna and hot tub! The Jumble was so cosy and warm even on a cold weekend and Darren was super friendly and helpful with any queries we had.

We would definitely return! Only issue was only one toilet for the 3 of us and no real shower unit (merely preference for us so not their fault) They had some lovely cats, very friendly, cheeky too as one of them got into where we were staying 4 times through various windows 🤣

Second week here, love it, really lovely friendly hosts and set in the most beautiful surroundings. Clean and comfortable with everything you need. Highly recommended and looking forward to the next two weeks here. Thank you James and family.

A short stay but a lovely place to relax after work. There is plenty of space and an amazing fireplace and it has everything you need. Danielle was very helpful and friendly. Recommended!

The attic room and bathroom were lovely, quiet, very comfortable, clean and much nicer than in the photos. Caroline and Paddy were so friendly. Caroline served a very tasty breakfast and helped me with a map to walk to Cranfield uni. I’d highly recommend Caroline’s home.

Het is een lieflijk huisje in een prachtige omgeving. Met de trein ben je zo in Londen. Fijn om na een druk bezoek in Londen weer terug te keren naar een rustig plekje. Christien en Mark zijn ontzettend behulpzaam. Hebben veel tips gegeven. Echt een aanrader.

We (2 adults, 1 son of 14 and a dog) have had an amazing Christmas holiday week. Valerie and Philip are top hosts. At the arrival we really felt welcome. The scones, bottle of wine and dog cookies are an example of true hostmanship. Valerie and Philip are easy to communicate with and always respond quickly. The black barn was warm, cosy and is a quiet spot near beautiful meadows, woods and lovely Berkhamstead. London, Oxford and Windsor Castle are within reach by car or car/train. At 2,5 miles you can charge your EV (max 150 kw/h) at the parking lot behind M&S (Berkhamsted). We really recommend spending your time at the black barn. England at its best.

Had a lovely stay at Misty Cottage with my husband and young daughter for 5 weeks, whilst our flat was being renovated. The property was homely and clean and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful, especially when we needed to extend our stay. The only thing I'd suggest is to explain in the Airbnb description that the washing machine for our cottage is communal as this would have been helpful to know beforehand. Overall we had a lovely time and would recommend staying here if you're looking for a quiet and relaxing retreat.

A lovely space to get away from the world. The cottage joins on to the main house but feels very private. The kitchen has all the basic pots and pans so we could cook our meals and then relax on the huge sofa. Very quiet and peaceful. Close to lots of beautiful walks. Very much enjoyed our stay!
