Uncle Clyde’s Cabin

Bring the family to this great place with lots of room for fun. Great year round, whole house AC in the summer, heat and fireplace in the winter. Outdoor swings around a huge firepit. Steps to the lake. Fishing! Water rights, the boat ramp is one house away. Ten minutes to Havana for restaurants, shopping, river access. Dixon Mounds is 20 minutes north. Forty-five minutes from Peoria and one hour from Springfield. The sunsets and the peace and quiet are worth the stay. Pets are allowed, $75.

You will have full access to your own private, sandy beach (directly behind the home) with amazing sunset views and great fishing. We provide 3 adult kayaks, one double and one child (under 150 pounds), and a pedal boat. Great outdoor fire-pit for s’mores and memories.

Just a few minutes from town! Ground level. Two bedrooms (master with a queen size bed & one with a full size bed); 1 1/2 bath (master & half bath is in the laundry room); kitchen with an island and 3 oak bar stools); laundry room; living room ( ample seating includes: full size sofa, over-sized loveseat, chaise lounge, and wooden armed chair). The living room has a patio door with small concrete slab sitting area with a view of a barn; and a dining room ( round oak table with 4 oak chairs).

There is a two person window bench with a built in charging station that overlooks beautiful downtown Havana. Walking distance to Havana's riverfront park, wonderful shopping, and restaurants. Located near Dickson Mounds Museum, Emiquon and Chautauqua National Wildlife Refuge, Bellrose Island, Havana's historic Water Tower, and Illinois River Road National Scenic Byway.

The South Bank Loft features a large, open studio style living space highlighted by gorgeous floor to ceiling windows overlooking historic Main Street in Havana, Illinois. The space has been meticulously restored and boasts high twelve foot ceilings, original restored crown molding, exposed brick and original hardwood maple floors. The loft also features a kitchenette with high end cabinetry, custom tile back splash and under cabinet lighting.

We are located just two blocks from the scenic Illinois River and Havana's Riverfront Park and its walking paths. Your hosts work in the newspaper office below, and live close by for after hours contact. You will drive past a house that is up the hill from the beach house.
