The accommodation was beautiful & had a unique layout which we loved. It was a lovely weekend out of the city to enjoy the beaches with my husband & dog. The place had everything we needed & was close to all the spots we wanted to visit ☺️ the info & recommendations were great from the host!

We had a wonderful stay at Liz and Dan's place — it’s a really lovely and comfortable spot. They were super accommodating when we asked for a slightly later checkout due to the rain, which we really appreciated. Everything was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

From opening the door to music playing, hot tub ready to go and the place in pristine condition to walk into, me and my partner were blown away from the start. Was perfect for what we wanted - a peaceful and romantic getaway. Worth every penny and we both throughly enjoyed and did not want to leave this oasis! Natalie and Bruce were always quick to respond to any queries and were clear about check in as the house would have been hard to locate without their photos and instructions. Will definitely be booking again ❤️

How an airbnb should be. Anna & Brian have created such a welcoming, peaceful oasis with all of the personal touches that make staying here so wonderful. A short drive from Auckland and you feel you're in the middle of nowhere (in the best way). A bottle of wine, homemade cake & bread, breakfast provisions (so many eggs we couldn't finish them all) topped off with a well kept tennis court, pool & spa - in a gorgeous apartment-like setting, we couldn't have asked for more. A great place to stay.

Wonderful and warm place near the Waitakere Ranges. Well-equipped kitchen, delicious breakfast basket, comfortable bed, spacious and clean - really enjoyed our time here!

This place is stunningly beautiful and we did not want to leave, it's one of 'those' places where you always try to stay an extra night because of how it makes you feel. It goes above and beyond the pics and description, some pics don't do it justice to be honest, and when we first arrived we could not believe our luck. So we ended up asking to stay an extra night and Steve was very accommodating and helpful and made it happen even though we gave him short notice. The view from the big stylish deck is breathtaking, the native birds and the faint sound of ocean below....there is something extremely special about this place that can't be put into words. That's not even taking into account the shared sauna, shared cabana, the huge projector for TV, the piano (so grateful to be able to play on a real piano again), foozeball, fairy lights, stylish decking. Didn't want to leave and its been incredibly inspiring to us, to see what someone can do with their land! You have to stay here!

Pauline and Ross were amazing hosts. It was great to meet you both and talk surfing adventures. We felt right at home and would HIGHLY recommend The Barn. We absolutely loved the location and how peaceful it was. We enjoyed an afternoon visit from the chookies too. The proximity to the beach was amazing. It was just right there. The place is fully equipped with a great kitchen and had everything you would need for a couple Days or a couple weeks. Thanks again for having us. Hope to be back in the future. This is the kind of place I’d give 10 stars if you could.

The instructions were really clear, so it was easy to find, and very flexible check-in. When we got there on an autumn evening the room was toasty and warm, and a very generous size. The furniture was lovely and the bed was really comfy - not too soft. It was nice and private with a lovely outlook over the grounds, being 40 m or so from the house. It was so nice to have breakfast provided, including fruit, yoghurt and a range of spreads.

We really loved our stay at the barn! The kids (and us) loved feeding the pigs, goat and sheep and the barn was so well set up and thought out. Our 10 year old loved the arcade game! And our 3 year old loved all the paw patrol toys and big box of books! Rory and his family were so welcoming, we had such a relaxing overnight stay and we all slept so well - beds were very comfy. We’d love to come back sometime, thanks again!
