Bakehouse Cottage - Kauaeranga Valley

A tastefully renovated 1 bedroom, fully self -contained Victorian cottage set in 3.5 acres of tranquil, park-like rural land. The property backs onto the Kauaeranga River, a beautiful clean flowing river with an idyllic swimming hole at the end of the property. The majestic Pinnacles walking track is at the end of the road. The cottage is just 5km from the centre of Thames township; everything is nearby, including the popular Hauraki Rail Trail which is a 3.5km cycle from Bakehouse Cottage.

This stunning modern house is just 150 metres from beautiful Whangamata surf beach voted no. 1 beach in NZ in Jan. 2018. Accommodation is on the UPSTAIRS LEVEL OF THIS HOUSE. Two bedrooms, bathroom , lounge , dining room & kitchen Plus decks & large double garage. Check photos. The bottom level is not occupied. For larger families or friends we do rent the whole house as an option & price is by negotiation. The ground level has 2 bedrooms sleeping 4 , its own bathroom, lounge and kitchen

Best spot in Whangamata: 1950's beachfront bach

Set amongst pohutukawa trees, this original 50's holiday house is located right on Whangamata beach. Enjoy unobstructed views of the ocean from the deck and huge front lawn. The famous Whenuakura (Donut Is.) is opposite as well as Hauturu Motu (Clark Is.), accessible on foot at low tide - a Kiwi rite of passage. Minutes to the local shops, bars and cafes and a short walk to the nearest convenience store. A great children's playground can be found at Island View Reserve at the end of the road.

The North End Studio is a purpose built studio unit, with a separate entrance along a private boardwalk. Well thought out and with some homely touches it has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The kitchenette is equipped with a 2 burner induction cooktop, microwave, grill press and BBQ, perfect for self catering. The studio has extensive wrap around decking for al fresco dining, surrounded by beautiful native gardens, perfect for that relaxing afternoon drink.

Seaview Cottage

Located north of Thames along the picturesque Pacific Coast Highway, Te Puru holds one of the great holiday get-away’s, Seaview Cottage. Te Puru is a quiet, peaceful place with great views of the Sunset. Our beautiful 1 bedroom cottage has fabulous modern facilities, a fully equipped kitchen, living-room and bbq area and its only a few steps to the beach. In addition the cottage is within walking distance to the local dairy, parks, boat-ramp and open tennis courts.

Geoff's Pad in Thames

Our AirBnB is a separate, self-contained wing of our beautiful new home in Totara, 3kms south of Thames Township and gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula. We are about an hour’s drive from Auckland International Airport and close to the many and varied attractions of the Coromandel and the Waikato Region. Easy access to the Hauraki Rail Trail. From our elevated position there are uninterrupted views over the township, Firth of Thames and the Kauaeranga Valley.

Waitawheta Cottage

Our whimsical cottage is perched near the top of the tranquil Waitawheta Valley at the gateway into the Northern Kaimai Ranges. Enjoy river swimming and hiking right from the property or just relax on the deck and enjoy the beauty of the valley. 5 minute drive to the Hauraki Rail Trail and the award-winning Falls Retreat restaurant. 10 minutes drive into the heart of the Karangahake Gorge and Waihi and 15 minutes through to Paeroa or out to Waihi Beach.

Self contained sleepout with amenities

Three room sleepout with kitchenette, and bathroom with a washing machine. Light and breezy with air conditioning. Situated on quiet cul de sac a few minutes drive to the town or to the beautiful Whangamata beach. A short walk past the RSA and Whangamata Club can take you into town to the shops and restaurants Off road parking available and the property is fully fenced and pet friendly. There is a good sized grass area which is a shared area.

Homewood Cottage

Homewood cottage is situated in a private garden behind the main homestead “Homewood”. Homewood was built in 1876 by Dr Thomas Fletcher and was the original farm house in the area. The cottage was built in the early 1900s when the property was owned by George Alley a well known philanthropist. Guests can enjoy the private lawn and garden around the cottage, and wander down the hedgerow to the pond overlooking the Tauranga harbour.

Our Place

Located in the beautiful historic spa town of Te Aroha with majestic views of the mountain. Right in the centre of town, within walking distance to cafes, shops, supermarkets and most importantly the historic mineral spas and pools. Enjoy the extensive walking and bike tracks or indulge at the pools (it's worth pre-booking).
