A tastefully renovated 1 bedroom, fully self -contained Victorian cottage set in 3.5 acres of tranquil, park-like rural land. The property backs onto the Kauaeranga River, a beautiful clean flowing river with an idyllic swimming hole at the end of the property. The majestic Pinnacles walking track is at the end of the road. The cottage is just 5km from the centre of Thames township; everything is nearby, including the popular Hauraki Rail Trail which is a 3.5km cycle from Bakehouse Cottage.

Open-plan living which flows to the outdoor entertaining space featuring a BBQ and wood-fired pizza oven. Two bedrooms have private ensuites, and two rooms can be set up as super king or twin beds. Stay entertained with the gym, heated pool, spa pool, and sauna. There is parking for up to 6 cars. Walk or bike to RSA or Saturday farmers market with 4 included bikes. Located in the rural settlement of Waiterimu just over an hours drive from Auckland, our unique farm stay experience gives you the opportunity to put your feet up and unplug from daily life. Curl up on the couch and read a book in front of a roaring fire, or enjoy a cup of tea on the deck you might even spot a friendly Tui or Wood Pigeon swooping by.

Best spot in Whangamata: 1950's beachfront bach

Set amongst pohutukawa trees, this original 50's holiday house is located right on Whangamata beach. Enjoy unobstructed views of the ocean from the deck and huge front lawn. The famous Whenuakura (Donut Is.) is opposite as well as Hauturu Motu (Clark Is.), accessible on foot at low tide - a Kiwi rite of passage. Minutes to the local shops, bars and cafes and a short walk to the nearest convenience store. A great children's playground can be found at Island View Reserve at the end of the road.

Hereford Cottage

Welcome to our private romantic getaway at Hereford Cottage. Located in Whakatiwai, north of Kaiaua with a backdrop of the Hunua ranges. We absolutely love living here and thought we would like to share one of our favourite places with others. We offer a beautiful one-bedroom cottage with a lovely outdoor wood fire tub and a romantic little area with a firepit, nestled in a natural setting with views of a stream, native bush and native birds. Enjoy a night or a couple of nights here with us.

The Bus Depot.

The Bus Depot is a rustic retreat overlooking the beautiful firth of Thames. A beautifully restored 1979 Bedford bus which has all the modern comforts but still retains original features of the bus, this area has sleeping for two along with kitchen area, fridge, gas stove and a dining area on the covered deck. From the daybed to the loft space or going for a walk on the farm or just sitting in front of the fire you can enjoy the views at this outstanding location.

Waitawheta Cottage

Our whimsical cottage is perched near the top of the tranquil Waitawheta Valley at the gateway into the Northern Kaimai Ranges. Enjoy river swimming and hiking right from the property or just relax on the deck and enjoy the beauty of the valley. 5 minute drive to the Hauraki Rail Trail and the award-winning Falls Retreat restaurant. 10 minutes drive into the heart of the Karangahake Gorge and Waihi and 15 minutes through to Paeroa or out to Waihi Beach.

Located in the historic Karangahake Gorge, the home offers a vast array of experiences accessible from it’s superb location. The 2 acre tree lined property borders the Hauraki Cycle-way and Ohinemuri River. John is a sculptor and Julie is a florist and they work from their studios on the property. This property is NOT available for parties. John and Julie live onsite in an adjoining studio.
