The town was renamed Gas City boasting to grow to a pop of 50 thous, but sadly the gas wells dried up. The Branson House-Irvin Suite

The Branson House was built between 1885-1890 by Irvin Love for his new bride Hettie Pearman and her two children. The house and Carriage House have been completely renovated. The carriage house was in extreme disrepair and the majority of the exterior brickwork was able to be preserved.
