West Cabin Country Lodge

When Laurel and I were married in 1994, and I moved from Wahoo, Nebraska (near Omaha) to a cattle ranch in northwest Kansas, I knew I had found my Paradise, In 1880, Laurel's grandparents, Enoch and Rebecca Fox, homesteaded the first 180 acres of Goddard Ranch where they raised corn and started buying cattle. Now Goddard Ranch consists of over 3,500 acres of pasture and farmland and, in the same tradition of Enoch and Rebecca, is still a working ranch. When I first came here, I found the open prairie, rolling pasture land, wild flowers, creeks, ponds and wildlife filled my soul with serenity. I loved the ranch so much that I wanted to share the experience and told Laurel that we needed a guest house for friends and relatives when they came to visit. One Christmas I had a Christmas card on the tree from my stepson, John. Inside I found a picture of a very old, ugly house with the caption, "Your next project. Merry Christmas!" John moved that old, ugly house to our ranch and we started the renovation. 10 years, two additions and many gallons of paint later, we have a very beautiful lodge that sits on the side of a hill, with beautiful trees surrounding it and pasture land as far as the eye can see. Inside is a very spacious family room (20x32 feet) that is off from the kitchen and dinning room. There are two bedrooms with a twin bed and bunkbed in each bedroom. We have a new couch that pulls out into a queen-sized bed with a 7-inch mattress in the family room. There are also 2 twin-sized air mattresses and one queen-sized mattress available. There are 2 bathrooms, laundry room with washer/dryer, and a cabinet with a double sink. All bath towels, linens, dish towels and laundry supplies are included. The kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, all pots and pans, dishes, silverware and the cabinets are stocked with the all staples. Cable TV and wireless internet are supplied. From the front porch, you can watch the horses in the pasture and the cattle grazing over the hill. If you walk up the hill from the back yard, you will find the fishing pond or go about 5 miles down the road to Antelope Lake to fish. You can follow the creek and look for deer antlers, hunt for arrowheads, hike, ride a horse, or watch the sunrise and sunset. At night, roast hotdogs and marshmallows by the campfire under a panoramic view of the stars. You will never see as many stars in the sky than out in the open prairie. If you are traveling with horses, we have a fenced in pasture and a barn to board them. If you are a history buff, we have the Indian effigy, Penokee Man, on our land and will take you to see where he lives after almost 1000 years. Near here was one of the last Indian/Calvery shootouts and our museum in Hill City is full of artifacts that chronicles the vast history of this area. My husband, Laurel, loves to tell stories of when his grandparents homesteaded the first 180 arces. In the last 8 years, Seven 2 Bar has hosted people from India, Ukraine, Italy and from all over the United States. Our lodge is available for weekend getaways, vacations by the week or month, hunting in the spring and fall, family runion, class reunions, or just to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We offer guided turkey and pheasant hunts. Our guides are very experienced and have trained hunting dogs for your pheasant hunt. I offer home cooked meals and make everything from scratch. Cozy West End Cottage

Large vehicles and trailer parking available for a cozy stay at this 3 bedroom farmhouse style home typical to Western Kansas. Enjoy a quiet moment on the old front porch. You will see the stars here. This is country! A touch of western lore, located midway between Denver and Kansas City and situated on the Solomon river valley. Antelope lake is 2 miles away and great for kayaking & fishing. Grocery store 2 blocks away. 3 TV’s with WIFI and Netflix. Carrier mini split AC and heat.

The Old Law House

Enjoy peace and quiet like never before in this beautiful 120 year old farmhouse in rural Graham County, Kansas. Located halfway between Hill City and WaKeeney, the Old Law House is half a mile off Highway 283, which makes it easy to get to amenities in either town but positioned in a place that gives you the full rural experience. Smith's Horse Barn

Our little remolded barn is a 100 years old and was used for the horses. We had to choose between tearing it down or totally renovating it. My husband, Laurel did not want the barn destroyed and so the great adventure of restoring a barn began. It has taken 3 years and a lot of very hard work, but we are ready for guests! The Horse Barn has a full kitchen, bathroom, and living room on the main floor. A spiral staircase takes you to the old hay loft which is now the bedroom.

Grandma's House

Grandma's House. Entire house is available; Three bedroom house; 4 Queen size beds. Fully functional kitchen, BBQ grill available as well. House located in the heart of Pheasant Hunting Country! We do allow dogs, but ask they not stay in bedrooms. TV, DVD, WIFI, Roku available. NEW HEATING AND AIR INSTALLED spring 2023 Morland is a sleepy and relaxing little town, there is The Office (bar), and Morland Mercantile.

Cottage on 2nd

The Cottage on 2nd is a charming craftsman bungalow built in 1925 with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The Historic Sites Bedroom has 2 full beds and the Gone Fishing Bedroom has 1 king bed. It retains the charm and character of 1925, but has modern conveniences, such as a dishwasher. It is located near the Graham County Hospital and Dawson's Place. We strive to make your stay in Hill City, Kansas, comfortable and enjoyable.

Come relax for a while in our comfortable home in Morland. You’ve got everything you need for a weekend or an extended stay. Three bedrooms with Queen beds, and an inflatable mattress available if your group likes to spread out. Bathroom is sparkling clean with a large rain shower head and plenty of hot water. Fast Wifi throughout the entire home to keep you connected.

Country farm home on a good shale road. Sits near a creek with walking paths and picnic areas that can be used by residents. Excellent venue for family reunions. Good hunting area for pheasant, deer, and turkey. Access to farm ground and pasture land owned by hosts for hunting.

East Cabin on the Prairie

Watching wild life and star gazing are only a few of the many attractions of this rural location. View the wide open spaces from the front porch. The east cabin has a handicap bathroom and bedroom with total access on the main floor.

This adorable little cottage is a great get away when you are away from home. Centrally located in town, this home is a great space for people to hang their hat, and is central to many small lakes within the area.

Hill City Hunting Lodge

My place is close to Hunting & Fishing. My place is good for families (with kids) and big groups. I have 2 outside dog pens with gates for hunters.
