Lots of hiking in the valley and nearby conservancy areas, biking on country roads, cross-country, downhill or snowshoe during the snowy months, or take in all the antique shops and history year-round. This peaceful property is minutes from the Hawthorne Valley Farm store, 20 minutes to the world-class food and vintage mecca of Hudson, and 30 minutes from the culture and history of Tanglewood, Jacobs PIllow and the Berkshires. For recreation there is hiking in the valley and nearby conservancy areas, biking on country roads, or cross-country, downhill or snowshoeing during the snowy months. Hawthorne is a 2-hour drive from NYC or a 2-hour Amtrak ride from Penn Station to Hudson, and then a 20 minute drive by car or taxi. The house is conveniently close to the Taconic Parkway, while set in a peaceful and quiet valley.

Conveniently located between a convenience store and some of Torrington’s finest coffee right next door from the Batchy Brew coffee truck.

Norbrook Farm ~ Rustic farmhouse w/ pond & trails

Rustic getaway in the beautiful Litchfield Hills of Northwestern Connecticut featuring a 2-acre pond and access to 9 miles of unique hiking trails on 450+ wooded acres. Cozy 1700's farmhouse comfortably sleeps 4 adults in 2 bedrooms, with an additional kids room that has a fold-out double futon and loft with one double air-mattress, perfect for children's sleeping bags. There is a pull out sofa in the living room. Dogs welcome! The house is next to Norbrook Farm Brewery, which you can walk to.

State Forest Getaway

Enjoy our Mountain getaway for year round fun! There are lots of activities close by-Mohawk Ski Mountain, Indian Lake and historic Covered Bridges! Hike in the backyard, cool off in the creek or relax in front of the Wood-burning fireplace or get the whole family together for a fun BBQ on the outdoor deck. We have 4 comfortable bedrooms plus daybed room and 3 bathrooms and a fully equipped Chefs Kitchen. The living room is great for lounging and perfect a movie night watched on the projector

Cheerful Catskill Village Cottage

Bright and airy Catskill village refuge - a wildflower and wildlife haven in the thick of things. Historic house set on a quarter acre of trees and wildflowers, but blocks from Main Street, Catskill. Walk to Foreland, The Lumberyard, the incredible village cemetery, Thomas Cole House, restaurants and shops. Olana State Historic Site is right across the bridge! Cottage has a full kitchen, clawfoot tub, penny tile shower, front porch, dining room and large living room. Truly peaceful and lovely.

The hosts are accessible for directions, assistance, or a fun history lesson of the area.

Enjoy staying at our charming Farmhouse in the heart of our working dairy farm. Our farm sits on some of the most beautiful hills in Cornwall with the famous Gateway to Cornwall view where you can see our dairy cows grazing in the grandeur of nature. Come say hello to the cows in the barn during milking or watch the herd cross the road evoking sites you might expect to see in small European farming villages. You'll likely see us on our tractors bringing hay and water to our cows!

Workspace available. 1 bedroom w/ king bed. 1 bedroom w/ queen bed. 1 bedroom w/ 2 twin beds. Fully finished basement with 60inch TV, kids toys and fitness equipment/stationary bike. Deck and below deck hang out space. Though we aren’t living here full time, it’s still the place we call home, and we will use it when it’s not booked. Long stays welcome.
