Sometimes it’s such a cliché to say “the photos did not do it justice “ but this is one of those rare occasions when it really does apply.. The Villa Tile is the perfect place for a couple or small family and has everything within a few metres.. the beach literally is on you back door step, next door is a beach bar with a pool which you are welcome to use. The hosts went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us during our stay, even undertaking some emergency sewing and pillow adjustments when we said that the pillows were a little too firm for our liking… We are already planning to come back in May 2025 and hope to use the Villa Tile again.

What we loved Most was being in a regular neighborhood which was walkable to the heart of Hania but which was quiet and had a lovely bakery. Plus the balcony overlooking the water was wonderful as we could hear the waves crashing at night which was very therapeutic.

1er séjour en Crète, le choix a été de se positionner à l’ouest pour visiter en 1 semaine que l’ouest. Kalives est donc bien localisé (25 mn de l’aéroport). La maison est aussi bien située : à la fois au calme et proche de nombreux restaurants sur la plage et à proximité à pied d’un supermarché. La maison est très spacieuse avec ses 3 belles chambres avec chacune sa salle de bain (4 toilettes) . Elle est également jolie, très propre et très bien équipée. À notre arrivée à 20h30 c’est très appréciable d’avoir le nécessaire dans le frigo pour 24h et les produits ménagers. Nous y étions mi-avril (we pascal) avec deux ados (de 14 et 17 ans) qui ont également très appréciés l’endroit. Le seul petit regret c’est de ne pas avoir pu profiter de la piscine car les températures étaient trop fraîches (Baignade en mer plus facile). Nous avons pu quand même manger dehors, sauf 2-3 soirs. Anthonis (propriétaire) est très prévoyant et à l’écoute de ses hôtes. Bonne surprise : le ménage mi-parcours.

It was easy to communicate with the owner. He replied very soon. We asked and got recommendations of nice restaurants. The house was very nice and easy to find anything we were looking for. It is perfect with and without children as well. :-) The sea was probably not like the fancy ones but it was always warmer than the others. :-D

Absolutely amazing old town medieval apartment oozes unique charm. Very spacious giving plenty of room for our family of four with two adult children. Beds were exceptionally comfortable with very nice linens and towels. Balcony was roomy and private. Quiet but very well located in old town.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Die Lage ist ruhig und bietet einen tollen Blick aufs Meer – perfekt, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Vermieter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben den Aufenthalt angenehm gestaltet. Alles in allem ein schönes Haus für einen entspannten Urlaub am Strand.

Eva's listing 'Hestia' is aptly named as it was a wonderful, relaxing, peaceful experience staying there. We felt right at home. Eva was very responsive & we always felt she was immediately available if we had any questions or issues, which we hadn't. The listing is very tastefully furnished but maintains it's authentic, traditional character. It is fully equipped with every conceivable need provided for. 'Hestia' is just 100 meters from Nea Chora Beach and the restaurants that line the promenade. Also, the centre of the Old Town is merely a very pleasant 15 minute walk away. As all the other reviews have said, this is a wonderful little house and situated on probably the nicest street in the Old Town. Clean and comfortable, Tonia and Vardis have supplied everything you might need. We loved the roof terrace, even though the weather was sometimes stormy, and the fantastic evening display by the swooping swifts A great location for walks in all directions and a lovely return to Chania after 27 years....If you have time do visit the new Archaeological Museum and also the Botanical Gardens up in the foothills of the White Mountains - very beautiful.

Me and my friends had the best time The villa was spacious, super clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, the garden was lovely and the pool was perfect. The location is not very central and it worked great for us - it was quiet and we had the sense of privacy, yet it was a walking distance from really great restaurants, some beaches, supermarkets and local shops We even discovered a bus stop right outside the villa - It took us about 30 min to get to Chania city center on one direction, and about 15 min to get to Kolymbari on the other direction The hosts were really friendly and informative, responded right away to every question we had and gave us some good recommendations One small issue we had - sometimes the hot water would run out for the last people who took showers (we were 8 people) But all in all a it was a great accommodation and we had a wonderful time staying there

I was traveling solo, and this place felt very comfortable. The beach right in front of the property was nice. Everything was clean and there was plenty space. What really stood out was the restaurant by the pool with its tranquil atmosphere and great flavors.

Super maison avec très jolie piscine. Extrêmement propre et bien entretenu. Hôte à l’écoute, plusieurs provisions pour nous accueillir (fruits frais, eau, lait, café, pain, confitures, vin,…), très pratique pour une arrivée un dimanche. Environnement très calme. Juste à noter pour les familles avec un enfant en bas âge, l’escalier un peu raide dans la maison. Nous recommandons vraiment ce logement.

Unser Urlaub mit unseren drei Kindern ( fünf Jahre und drei Jahre) war perfekt! Das Haus ist wunderschön der Außenbereich riesig der Pool einfach nur traumhaft und vor allem der Ausblick ist unbeschreiblich schön. Es gab jeden Tag etwas Neues zu entdecken, in der Umgebung, alles super mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Wir bekamen regelmäßig die Wäsche gewechselt und für die Kinder sogar kleine Geschenke gebracht. Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub für uns Wir werden sicher wiederkommen. Vielen Dank für diese wunderschöne Zeit bei euch!!

We were a party of five, my wife and I and 3 30 year olds, our two twins and a son-in-law. We all couldn't say enough good things about this home: the view has to be one of the best on the whole island, relaxing, extremely private and immediately felt right at home. Starting and ending each day with that view, I didn't need anything else, but there is as much to do as you want. For example, just 6 minutes down the hill, you have the great little town of Platka with a few delicious local restaurants, market and a nice sports bar if you want a cocktail...like me. Another 10 minutes down the hill you come to Alymrida, the small coastal city that has nearly a dozen varied restaurants right on the water. 40 minutes away is the charming city of Chania, the jewel of Crete. This home is centrally located, 20+ minutes from the highway to go anywhere you wish to go...but keep in mind your leaving this view behind. I hope you enjoy it half as much as we did.

10 out of 10! This villa was absolutely perfect for our week in Chania! Clean and spacious, plus a very nice pool that’s kept at the perfect temperature for swims at any time of the day. Lia was so lovely and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be staying here when we return.

Alexandra’s place finished off our holiday perfectly. It was better than the photos, with everything you needed. Cristina was great, very friendly and helpful, happy to welcome her to Australia if she comes for a holiday. There are quite a few restaurants around and it is only a short drive into Chania Old town (depending on traffic). The location was great as you could book tours or hire a boat. From this location we went to Balos, winery, olive oil tour and got to know the area. Would definitely stay again or recommend friends to stay. Thanks for making Crete so memorable.

The house is amazing set in a beautiful location with views of the mountains and sea, it is a very peaceful place but also not far to walk to the little village where there are restaurants and shops. A car is nice to explore around the island and it is very easy to get around. Our host Katrina was extremely nice, very attentive and made sure our stay was exceptional. She makes sure everywhere is clean and tidy, shares local delights and was a very friendly host. I would highly recommend this property.

Auch wenn wir die Vermieter nicht persönlich getroffen haben, hat alles auf der klaren Anweisungen gut funktioniert. Bei der Anreise muss man das erste Mal schon genau schauen wie man die Anlage findet. Eine bessere Ausschilderung würde helfen. Apartment und Anlage Tip Top. Einziges Manko bei unserem Aufenthalt war die allabendliche Beschallung in Festivallautstärke der in ca. einem Kilometer entfernten Hotels. Bis ca. 23 Uhr musste man die Musik schon mögen, um auf der schönen Terrasse zu sitzen. Glücklicherweise schließen die Fenster und Terrassentüren aber schalldicht ab. Dennoch ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.

Stayed here for a week late Sept. Was fantastic. the best AB&A I think so far. Big place, very secure, easy walk to beach and to old town (once you get your bairings there are little short cuts-it just took us a while. Great bathroom- seperate loo downstairs too. big bed in main room . Fully equiped kitchen- although we mostly ate out- loads restaurants in beach area and town. We thought prices were good eating out. would defo come back again. location and actual place was great. We spent days on beach and nights in the old town. Apartment was lovely and quiet at night and very secure. Little outside space- great for cooling off. Little supermarket round corner- ok but would suggest going bigger super market (by Zara) to get supplies.about a 10 min walk once you get your bairings. Harbour a must in eve just to sit and have a drink- is beautiful- maybe eat in the little streets behind.

We absolutely loved our stay at Evi’s beautiful holiday home. It is exceptionally clean and well equipped - Evi has thought through every detail and we hugely appreciated that so many useful things were provided (beach toys, oil, spices etc, toiletries, dishwasher tablets etc). It is incredibly spacious too and had plenty of space for our family of four. As a host, Evi is the perfect balance of super warm and welcoming, but also discreet and respectful of your privacy. She went above and beyond to make sure we knew where great local restaurants were located, supermarkets and so on, and left us some wonderful Greek pastries. She even brought us some chocolates for the children and traditional pastries as we were there for Easter. We found the villa to be in the perfect location for easy access into Chania, the fantastic beaches on the west and south coast, and we also visited Knossos. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the villa to families and would love to return!

We were a group of four adults. The host was amazing, the rooms were very clean. The host left lots of goodies and always available for all of our inquiries. Eli ‘s recommendations for tours and activities was very helpful. We all highly recommend Casa Del Mare for your next trip to Chania Greece.

Orestis is an amazing host with an amazing house in an amazing location! We loved every moment we were here! A 1-2 minute walk to a beautiful Sandy beach, great restaurants down the street, the house has everything you'll need and more! We will definitely come back

Wir wurden direkt äußerst freundlich mit Obst- und Essen empfangen. Die Lage ist wunderbar, man schaut aufs Meer und in die Natur, es ist ruhig und direkt neben der Unterkunft geht ein ca 20-30 min. wunderschöner Weg am Meer entlang in den anderen Ort. Wir haben unsere Zeit genossen und können es 100% weiterempfehlen.

Mit Abstand eine der besten Unterkünfte in denen wir unterkommen konnten! Haben uns gleich wie zuhause gefühlt und es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Und das Bett war wirklich sehr bequem! Die Bilder werden der schönen Dachterrasse nicht gerecht! Diese lädt wirklich zum verweilen ein. Das Apartment ist wirklich extrem zentral, ein paar Minuten Fußweg und man ist direkt in der Altstadt am Hafen mit vielen Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und trotzdem war es Nachts sehr ruhig und leise! Orfeas hat uns auch tolle Tipps für die Umgebung und klare Anweisungen für den Check-In und die Wohnung gegeben. Gerne wieder!

Nous avons passé un séjour absolument merveilleux dans ce logement ! Situé à proximité d'une plage magnifique et idéale pour les familles, ainsi que de bons restaurants, l'emplacement est tout simplement parfait. Le jardin est un véritable havre de paix, avec des jouets et des affaires de plage mis à disposition, ce qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable. Giana nous a accueillis chaleureusement à notre arrivée, avec des gâteaux et du raki, une attention qui nous a beaucoup touchés. Le seul point a avoir en tête, qui n'est pas directement lié au logement, est la qualité du wifi dans la région. Elle est plutôt mauvaise, ce qui peut rendre le télétravail difficile. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement et reviendrons avec plaisir lors de notre prochain séjour. Merci encore à Gianna son leur accueil et sa disponibilité !
