Steve is an awesome host! We stayed for snowmobiling when snow conditions were not ideal, but he gave us some tips and suggestions that helped us make the most of it! The house is very cozy, with lots of room for parking trucks and trailers. The surroundings are beautiful, we even saw the northern lights right from the front yard, and heard a wolf in the distance. The snowmobile trail is right across the road from the property, too. Beds are comfy, water was hot, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The wood stove is a great touch too! We’ll be back!

The stay was perfect for a quiet getaway that we were looking for. The sunrise views were gorgeous. The cabin was very clean. We look forward to coming back again and hopefully for a longer stay. Scott was a great host and very flexible and we appreciated the hospitality.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Snow Escape! Beautiful home in a lovely location and the amenities (hot tub, sauna, etc) are top notch. I can’t recommend this place enough and I absolutely would love to return!

It was super cozy, a perfect place for me to stay for a week. Spent lots of time by the lake and it was close enough to Porcupine Mountains for me to go hiking any day. Heads up, the shower is short. I’m 5’2” and had to duck my head to wash my hair. I was ok with it though.

We loved our stay! We celebrated our wedding anniversary and enjoyed the hiking nearby and the cozy vibes at the cabin.

From the minute I booked, Justin was on it. I’m sure Dawn is just as kind. Exactly what we were looking for at a nice price. Clean and convenient. Trail was a block away, we rode. Thanks Justin and Dawn! We had a great stay.

Alexis and Luke are great hosts! They were very proactive in communicating leading up to our arrival and prior to our check out. Instructions for the lockbox, keys and garbage were very clear. We have stayed there before but for first timers, the instructions on how to get to the lodge were very clear also. They always had wood stocked at the entrance for the fireplace which was super nice. Very clean and cozy. It's ideal for skiing in and out at Black River Basin. We love staying at the Bunkhouse and will be back!

We had an amazing stay. The ski hill is right up the road. It was within minutes of the nearest towns. And lots of space for everyone to spread out. We will definitely book this again!

We stayed here on a snowmobile trip. It worked perfectly. Right next to the trail. Easy trailer parking. It sits right on the railroad bed and has gas 10 miles in either direction. The apartment is clean and as advertised. Clean bathroom and plenty of hot water. Plenty of room to gather. 10/10 would recommend if you want to snowmobile in the UP. Trout creek is pretty central to getting everywhere.
