The house is a traditional farmhouse with a large garden and located in the middle of the small island on a quiet road. A road leads to the shore on Valentia Island (1km) and the breathtaking cliff area on the north-facing side is about 2km away - a paradise for walkers! The small fishing village of Portmagee on the mainland and Valentia's main village Knights Town are about 4 minutes by car. Our newly refurbished spacious farmhouse is located in a quiet, scenic area surrounded by fields which boasts a wonderful backdrop of The MacGillycuddy Reeks. This house is situated on a site of its own with a big back garden which is perfect for relaxing in or playing a game of soccer. The garden is facing the mountains with a southern aspect so is also a perfect place to simply relax, unwind and soak up the peaceful scenic surroundings .

If you love the ocean, you will love this place. It is an ocean front property directly on the sea, looking at the Bere Island Lighthouse, very quite and private within walking distance to Castletownbere. It has a private automatic gate and the property has a slipway to the sea. Beautiful area to go canoeing. Seals can be seen from time to time. You can watch the Castletownbere fishing boat going out to sea.
