This home sits high on a bluff above downtown Frankfort & the Kentucky River (our farm borders on the river). Just three miles to Buffalo Trace Distillery (if you could fly, it's way closer than that!)

No neighbors! It’s not a big or fancy place but it’s clean, simple, and relaxing. The stars are brightest in the country when enjoying the fire pit. Our two story cabin has 1BR with two double beds, full kitchen, full bathroom, recliners, and grills. It's perfect for couples, friends, or small families. The Ark Encounter, Kentucky Horse Park, Keeneland, and several distilleries are all within an hour of the cabin. This is a great place to relax between visits to these attractions.

Gopher Wood Getaway Cabin-NEAR Ark Encounter

Located about 20 minutes from the Ark Encounter, our Gopher Wood Getaway cabin offers a rustic and picturesque place for families to stay near the Ark. Enjoy 500 sq ft of living space inside the cabin that includes a fully equipped kitchen, a bunk room and full bathroom. Our cabin has heating, AC and electric over looking 84 acres of Kentucky Bluegrass. NOTE: Our cabins are truly a GETAWAY as we do NOT have any wi-fi or TV in them. National Historic O'neal Cabin

Originally built during the late 1700’s, this two-story log cabin was restored in 1995. The O'neal Cabin is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. 14x40 finished amish made cabin that sets on a 103 acre tract of land. Cabin is fully furnished with a wood stove, kitchen table, bar area, sink and stove. Full size shower and bathroom. Indoor horse stalls and an outside corral for overnighting animals. Outside fire pit for evening enjoyment. Several miles of trails through open fields and wooded ridges provide riding or hiking adventures. Only a twenty minute ride to The Ark attraction or the Kentucky Horse Park.
