Went on a trip with our family after many years and was so glad to choose this place as our getaway — we loved the home and can’t wait to get back. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful, their home was comfortable for all ages.

Charity was a great host and the place is very peaceful and perfect to have a retreat, beautiful nature and nearby trails and not to far of a drive to the nearby towns. Highly recommended!

This home was perfect for our girl’s trip! We were in town for a conference. Beautiful views and just a lovely home overall. Spacious, beautiful, clean- you will not be disappointed!

She is a great hostess and the home is fully equipped. Plenty of room in the dining room for our large group without feeling bunched together. Great walking areas. Nice swimming pool. Two nice fishing ponds 3 minutes walk with nice bass. Fuel and restaurant 12 minutes away.

We were looking for a place to get together with family from all over the country, do some skiing, and have meals. This place was perfect. The host was responsive and helpful when we had questions. The house was laid out so that we all had our own place for some privacy but had great room for all of us to get together. Plenty of bathrooms, nice areas for walking, and within walking distance of the ski slopes. We are already talking about booking for next year.

This is a very nice and spacious condo with a luxurious master suite and a kitchen with all of the supplies needed for cooking. I would stay here again.

Great place to stay for an extended time

This house is a refurbished old house near Wilson College. The floors are refinished wood - very clean, and the area carpets make the house seem (and stay) warm. The kitchen is well stocked, plenty of cooking basics, pots and pans, storage containers, a variety of coffees and teas. The bathroom is very clean, plenty of hot water, towels, and shampoo, conditioner, etc. The washer and dryer are a big plus. Beds are comfy and adjustable. Dining room is amazing, antique table with inlays, table pads to cover if using, removable to enjoy the beauty of the furniture if not using. We would stay again! I stayed here with my niece during a family get together. The only drawback, which Nick was quite responsive to, was that the door automatically locks at night, (which is something I did not think of, never having experienced it before), and my niece got locked out one night. Lesson learned - do not leave the house without the entrance code!! Nick is a responsive host! Many Thanks!!

We had an enjoyable time staying at Lanae’s place. Our children enjoyed seeing the cows and they were able to run around in the yard. It was quiet and peaceful. We would stay again if in the area.

We had a perfect stay! The house is perfectly situated for a ski weekend at white tail. The house is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The pictures don’t do it justice! It was comfortable for a group of four adults and three very young kids. We sledded on the hill and looked at the stars. Kitchen was wonderful to cook in, shower was dreamy, and the Sonos speakers were easy to work. Just awesome!

Spent a week in April, 2025. Had a wonderful time. Beautifully furnished home in quiet area. Exactly as described and even better than pics show. Loved the huge vanity in bathroom. Washer and dryer in very clean basement a plus. Very comfortable furniture. Easy trip into Chambersburg or Gettysburg and lots of shopping and restaurants in area. Sabrina is an exceptional host and promptly met the one need we had. Will be returning soon for a longer stay. Highly recommend.

We had a great weekend at Trout Run Lodge. It was snowing and that added to the tranquil beauty of the scenery! The games in the garage were a highlight. We were happy to find a griddle, crockpot, and baking pans in the kitchen, also the extra fridges are nice! Thank you for listing your property for rental on Airbnb! The only complaint i heard from our group was that the beds in the loft were very creaky.

My kids and I had a *wonderful* stay here. The host communicated very well throughout. And I have to say, after having stayed at many Airbnbs, the hospitality and small touches were the best I've seen. She had included fresh half and half in the refrigerator (not even knowing I'm a coffee drinker who would appreciate that very much). There were small bottles of water in each of the bedrooms. There were chips and cookies in the living room. The beds and pillows were high quality and comfortable, and the linens/towels were top notch. Great stay, great place, great host - highly recommend.

If you are looking for peace and quiet with a beautiful view in the Cumberland Valley, you have found your spot! Very convenient to Route 11 and Volvo in Shippensburg.

Our family had a lovely time staying at Whitetail Resort for a long weekend. The unit was clean and comfortable, the kitchen had everything needed, and the pool access was especially nice. The host's communication and directions were excellent. The back of the unit is literally a stone's throw from the ski chairlifts. However, since we were there in Spring, we instead went hiking around the beautiful state parks that surround the resort. We would recommend Whitetail Mountain.

Though the reason for our stay was sad (funeral) our experience this air bnb was lovely. No expense was spared in the renovation of this home! Everything was sparkling clean. Smelled clean. Well stocked, this is the first time we have not had to buy toilet paper or paper towels after even just a short stay! And the products in the bathrooms were high end and felt so luxurious! Home was quiet. There is a train that blows every once in a while but we are used to that at home so it didn’t bother us. It was a constant occurrence either Would stay again! Thank you

We had a wonderful ski weekend at Julie and Patrick's place. It is only about 10 minutes from Whitetail Resort, there is a coffee shop within walking distance, and several restaurants in the town (I can't speak to all of them but one of them - called Stoners on the Square - we could walk to and enjoyed for our two dinners). The house is lovely - furnished with beautiful antiques - and the kitchen and bathrooms are updated and stylish. Julie and Patrick were excellent hosts. They communicated with us every step of the way and gave extremely clear directions about how to get to their place, the best way to unload luggage, where to park, etc. They tried to meet us several times but unfortunately we were not there when they were, but we certainly appreciated the effort! I would definitely stay at their place again.
