This one of a kind cabin, offers the most spectacular 270° views for both sunrise, sunset, and Aurora viewing! Sitting on top of the locally popular Ester Dome, this unique cabin overlooks all of Fairbanks and the surrounding areas. Just 11 miles to the airport, there is amazing hiking/biking trails nearby. Tucked away in a beautiful forest of birch and spruce, our Hytte offers a thoughtful space to rest and explore. The furnishings have been thoughtfully curated to be minimalist, warm and peaceful. Many items are vintage or made by us. We have purposefully chosen amenities that are low waste and environmentally conscious. As a welcome to our guests, we provide fresh eggs from our flock of chickens, homemade granola, milk, fresh fruit, coffee and tea!

Northern Lights views from bed!

We built the Rocky Top AirBnB as place for our parents to stay in the summer. In the winter, it's yours! It's an Aurora-viewing, winter-loving house: its walls are a foot thick, with radiant floors heated by an environmentally-friendly vegetable-oil boiler. At night, watch the Aurora from bed or the large north-facing windows. The large couch is a comfortable place to watch the low winter sun traverse the mountains to the south during the day.
