We'll get started with an introduction and warm up to ensure our bodies are prepared for the hike ahead. Then we'll jump right into the hike, remaining on the clearly marked trail to Poo Poo Point. The trail does continue further beyond this viewpoint, but that connects to another trail that we will not be doing. Water
I will have bottled water available at the trailhead (in my car). It is recommended guests bring additional water in their packs to ensure they will be hydrated throughout the hike.
Safety equipment, Camera, Photography and Other
I will have a small first aid kit in case of minor injuries, sprains, or blisters. With prior arrangements, I can also bring a DSLR camera to capture photographs and portraits of guests, and I am happy to take photos on your phone or other device you bring with you to capture your experience.

Sturdy shoes (preferably hiking shoes, boots, or trail running shoes with good traction)
Optional: Backup pair of shoes & socks (left in your car) to change into when you are finished hiking
Socks (non-cotton, preferably designed for hiking)
Non-cotton, moisture-wicking clothes (workout clothes OK)
Layers (dependent on weather - light fleece and/or water resistant layer for cooler days recommended)
At least 2L-3L (64oz-100oz) of water, depending on weather (reusable water bottle or hydration bladder recommended)
Portable, packable snacks for 3-5 hours of moderate to strenuous activity (example: trail mix, protein/snack bars, jerky, bananas, apples, sandwiches)
Medium to large Ziploc bag to store trash until you get back to the trailhead
Day pack or backpack that you are comfortable wearing for hours at a time
Optional: Trekking poles for elevation changes

実施場所

We will be hiking up to Poo Poo Point, beginning at the Chirico Trailhead in Issaquah. However, we could do a slightly less steep (but longer) version of this hike to Poo Poo Point, starting at Issaquah High School, just 1.9 miles up the road from the Chirico Trailhead. Both trails are similar in elevation gain and converge at the same summit, but depending on the ability of the group it may be preferable to take the longer trail (9.7% grade).
