The Penny Farthing Bike Tour

I founded The Penny Farthing Club and have taught hundreds of people to ride this iconic bicycle. It is so much fun and brings a smile to everyone's face when you pass by. I'm also Captain of the England Penny Farthing Polo Team, have ridden a Penny from London to Brighton and I recently organised and participated in a new British one hour track record (set by Mark Beaumont). This will be one of the most memorable experiences of your life!
We will first learn to safely master the art of riding the Penny Farthing bicycle with each guest being given their own bike to ride. Once you are comfortable with how to mount, ride and dismount safely, we'll go on a leisurely guided ride through central London, seeing and riding past many of the iconic sights such as Westminster Abbey, Parliament Square, Churchill War Rooms, the gardens of 10 Do…
Bikes, helmets & gloves 󳀁
Please bring your own helmet if you prefer.
You must be at least 5ft 3in (160 cm) tall, weigh less than 100 kgs (220 Lbs) and be in good physical shape. It helps if guests are already competent and confident bike riders in city environments.
After meeting me and your fellow guests in The Travel Cafe, we will walk to Archbishop's Park as this cycle friendly park is the perfect place to learn to ride the Penny Farthing bicycle. On completion of the training phase, we will ride over the River Thames, past Westminster Abbey, around Parliament Square, past 10 Downing Street, Horse Guards Parade, down The Mall and stop for photos at Buckingham Palace before heading back to The Travel Cafe.
