My husband and I have built two sustainable eco homes out of cob and bamboo. We will show you both homes and go into detail about why we chose to build this way, explain the process from start to finish, followed by a brief tutorial on how to mix the cob and apply it so that you learn how to do it. After all this, we will take you on a tour of the 1 hectare farm, showing you the different fruit trees and herbs, along with goals we have for the project. At the end of this experience we will offer some local fruits and hibiscus tea.
I have a MSc in biodiversity, conservation and management but have decided to put my study into practice. I arrived to Costa Rica 8 years ago, and only last year did we buy property and start building. We took a natural building course two years ago and have since built two sustainable eco homes out of cob and bamboo with our own hands. Our goal here is to become a thriving agroforest and permaculture farm. We already have 20 different species of fruits, honey bees, herbs, and some vegetables.
Fresh local in season fruits, hopefully from our own farm.
Hibisus, Tamarind, or Chia Ice tea
Casa mexicana is the guest home we will visit first followed by our home, Casa De La Rosa. Both these homes on situated on mountain top overlooking lush green jungle and bright blue ocean.
8歳以上の方10名まで参加できます。保護者同伴の2歳未満のお子様も参加可能です。 Guests should be comfortable with dogs or let us know beforehand and we can tie them up.
The property is about 15min From the highway in playa hermosa but the road is maintained and doesn’t require a 4x4 during dry season.
