You will get an opportunity to learn how to sew a Zulu Traditional shirt made with African print fabric, in my hometown Soweto. The colour of the fabric used and the style of the shirt is the fun part of the sewing experience because bright colours symbolize beauty and prosperity. Be prepared to have fun while learning and getting a gift from Soweto that you’ve created yourself.
I am the owner and creative director of Egoli Textile Designs; a company that designs and creates African prints and African fashion. I have textile design qualification and have been in the fashion design industry for 10 years. I run textile printing and fashion workshops, because I really enjoy sharing knowledge and the experience of creating African fashion with different people from different walks of life. Sharing a creative experience with tourists is great because it's an opportunity to share my culture and creative design process with people from different cultures.
