The excursion Tea Ceremony is an immersive sensory experience that will connect you to the power of our Mother Earth. Through slowly savoring tea in our cherished natural environments, this practice is an opportunity to explore nature as well as commune with our dear plant teacher Tea. Together we will silently hike into a beautiful location, I will set up our tea space and in this time I invite you to fully take in space around you. Once the water is heated we will share tea and honor all that lies around us. After we have savored many bowls together we will finally open to questions or reflections before silently hiking back. These experiences are perfect for small groups, dates and for those of you interested in engaging with nature in a new way! You still might be wondering. What is a tea ceremony? Traditional Cha Dao has been practiced in China for over 1,200 of years. Tea practice is a graceful and gentle offering of plant medicine that allows a deeper connection to the self, nature and those around you. It is my honor to be a student of the leaf and to share her spirit with you. In this practice we will silently enjoy bowls of tea together, sharing the knowledge that in this experience there is no right and there is no wrong. Rachel Bare is a low waste activist, student of tea, dedicated to slow fashion and obsessed with animals. She pursued a career as a fashion stylist in New York City for five years before being introduced to the traditional practice of Chinese Tea Ceremony. Since sitting for her first ceremony she has been guided by the spirit of tea. Tea has taken Rachel to Taiwan and moved her across the US from New York to Colorado to study this medicinal plant. Rachel is dedicated to inspiring others to return to their roots and honor their truest nature, that they are nature! Her goal is to give you tools to live a life in deeper communion with yourself, nature and those around you. Currently, you will find Rachel guiding tea ceremonies throughout our Public Lands or adventuring the expansive west **Please, note I can add availability by request
This traditional style of tea ceremony utilizes the leaves of the Camellia sinensis tree. We will be sharing tea that is free…
Each place we hike to have been hand chosen by me after making my own explorations of what Boulder has to offer. They are remote locations and do require up to a 1mile hike. If you are interested in a longer experience please contact me so we can find the perfect fit!
Please be prepared for a mild hiking and enjoying beautiful tea. This is a meditative experience and you may feel incredibly relaxed after or energized by all the beauty.
