This tour is for all who are feeling the commitment to consume more consciously and be an active part of the global sustainable movement while traveling in Merida. Also is intended to connect with and support local producers and businesses that use more environmentally friendly methods. We will meet at a Local Producers and Farmers' Market to check which amazing products are offered in this place. We will then move towards the Center of Merida to discover several places where we can get in bulk and package free products. Some of these places are even hidden for the general public or run at not commercial locations. We will end up at an Organic Cafe to have a drink and share some information about sustainability in Merida. There are always events and fairs happening in Merida, so we could add to our tour an unexpected and fun extra activity. Be prepared to walk a bit and carry with some groceries bought during the tour NOTE: The main organic farmers’ market happens on SATURDAYS only. During the week days we will visit mostly organic businesses and stores
I am a designer, illustrator, and yoga instructor. After graduated, I have worked with several environmental conservation organizations as a graphic designer and wildlife illustrator. I have always been atracted by environmental topics. My interests also include yoga philosophy, healthier food habits, nutrition and more conscious and sustainable ways of living, among others. I'm currently focused on developing my own sustainable design products while enjoying the beautiful city of Mérida.
