I am an interior designer, home stager/stylist, product designer, and long time Airbnb host in San Francisco. I love shopping at flea markets because it's a surprise every time, and most pieces have a unique history, and there are always interesting people to interact with. I find it much more compelling to be immersed in this environment vs a standard store with mass produced products. I have…
The Alameda Point Antiques Faire is the largest antiques show in Northern California. Held on the 1st Sunday of every month, the Faire boasts over 800 Dealer booths, all carrying items that are 20+ years old. We will meet for coffee at the Ferry Building in San Francisco at 10am (feel free to come early to explore the shops at Ferry Building , or to spend time by the water). At 10:50am, we will…
If there is inclement weather, the fair may be cancelled & rescheduled to the 2nd Sunday of the month. If this happens, you will be notified that morning, & refunds will be given.
There is food and drink at the Ferry Building, as well as at the fair, but I will also have on hand some extra treats.
I will take care of purchasing the ferry tickets, as well as the tickets to enter the fair.
I will take care of logistics of transportation to and from the fair.
Comfortable walking shoes. We have a half mile walk to the fair, and the fair itself is quite large
Layers. It can get quite chilly in San Francisco - especially on the water!
Anything to make yourself comfortable with being outside a large period of time. Hat, sunglasses, etc. I will have sunscreen.
Cash if you are planning on making purchases. Many of the vendors at the fair are cash only. There are ATMs, but sometimes the lines can get long.
A backpack or bag that's comfortable to carry for most of the day, and has enough capacity to house some of your purchases. Some vendors have bags, and they rent out carts if you don't want to hand carry everything.
A desire to have fun and explore unique items! :)
