◆1 Week Before the Day
1. Select the character you want to write
2. Select which type of work you want
A. 1 letter / Colored paper (24cm/27cm, 9inces/10inces)
B. 1 or 2 letters / Hanging scroll (73cm/31cm, 28inces/12inces)
3.Send me the character and the type of your work
You can write your name in Kanji. I chose Kanji for you!
◆The Day
1. Learn the history and culture of Japanese calligraphy (10 minutes)
2. Learn the meaning of the character you chose (10 minutes)
3. Learn calligraphy basic course (10 minutes)
4. Do Japanese calligraphy (60 minutes)
5. Take a break with Ryukyu black tea and Okinawan tarts
Total 90 minutes
Other things to note
1. You can take the bus from Naha Airport. Take #99 and get off at Naha Kokusai SHS.
2. You can park your your car near my apartment, but you need 400 yen. If you are lucky, you can park in front of my apartment for free.
3. You can go shopping after class. There are 2 malls near my apartment.

実施場所
We will conduct our workshop in the living room of my apartment I live in Naha, center of Okinawa, so that you can come to my apartment in 15 minutes from Naha airport. There is no parking space, but you can park your car near my apartment (You need 400 JPY). You can also take the bus from Naha Airport. Take #99 and get off at Naha Kokusai High School. If you are lucky, you can park in front of my apartment for free.
Totally recomendable if you want to feel the okinawan culture doing some special art like caligraphy. This discipline give you the opportunity to meet yourself better. And Massa is a wonderful teacher, who open the door of his home for feel confortable doing the activity. He is a person to give me the chance to meet better this island and his friendly people. 💯

Masa’s calligraphy experience is the hidden gem of Okinawa. Truly a sweet man with an awesome talent that he wants to share. I came away from the experience with a greater knowledge of calligraphy and a souvenir that I’m proud to hang in my home. He’s really friendly and went out of his way to help me. If you’re vacationing in Okinawa, definitely do this!
