[Schedule] -Ice-breaking with a welcome drink -Explanation of my cooking style, how you can be mindful in cooking (5-15 mins.) -Calm your mind in a Japanese meditation before cooking. -Enjoy cooking mindfully(1hr-1.5hrs) -Have the meal mindfully which WE just cooked! (30mins) //You can have Japanese medicinal herb tea any time in the course of the above schedule. The tea will be specially blended every time according to the season/weather and the health condition of the guests. [My style] -Japanese traditional cooking -I use non-chemical food only -I try living mindfully all the time. Cooking is one of the best mindful moments in my daily life. -Vegetarians are welcome, but I cook non-veg too. [Options] -My cooking lesson is open to everyone. 1.Both types of people are the most welcome who don't practice meditation and who are familiar with mindfulness. This is the only one cooking class in Japan that provide "Mindful cooking". I was born and brought up in Japan. I have learned cooking from my mother and grandmother since childhood. They are very good at cooking, especially Northern Japanese traditional dishes. I studied culture and religion at university. I apply mindfulness, Japanese zen mentality and philosophy of the meditation into cooking and eating. I love hearing and talking about a happy life and a better life with my guests. I used to teach Japanese cooking in English when I lived in India.(40% are vegetarian) *** My class takes 2guests max (or one group). The class is fully private if you are two people. Welcome to my "Minimal house". This cooking activity takes place at my apartment room. My room is very simple, not big, not gorgeous, but clean. Since my husband and I try to live in a simple life. My room has a traditional Tatami floor which is made from plants, so you can enjoy the atmosphere of Japanese room!
