We will explore the residual area of Asakusa, Tokyo's old town while stopping by my favorite places while visiting some of the must-visit landmarks in Tokyo (e.g. Sensoji temple with Tokyo Skytree view). We will eat at 5-6 local food restaurants and shops that are popular among the locals. Most of them have a very long history and small family-owned businesses. Throughout the tour, you will taste a wide variety of Japanese food and experience our unique culture.
Other things to note
This tour is run by either me or my staff. Food is included in the price. Let me know if you have any food restrictions or allergies. Unfortunately, I cannot accommodate vegetarian food restrictions.

I’m a certified sake sommelier and restaurant owner in Tokyo. I also founded Ninja Food Tours, a boutique food tour company based in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. Having lived in Tokyo for more than 10 years, Asakusa is one of the best neighborhoods to eat for me. Outside of the main touristy area, there are so many lesser-known restaurants and shops for the locals. As my staff and I work with many restaurants for our job, our team (Yuma, Giulia, Nathan, Amanda, and Kaz) will give you the inside scoop on the real Tokyo foods in Asakusa.

We will meet in front of Hinatomaru Sushi Restaurant and finish the experience near Asakusa Station. On the tour, we will visit 5+ shops and restaurants to try local Japanese food. We will also visit the backstreets of Asakusa and Sensoji temple, one of the most popular temples in Tokyo.

This was a great experience, we definitely left this tour filled with food and with more knowledge about the food we ate. We also wouldn't have explored Asakusa had it not been for this tour. I'm glad we got to see the Sensoji temple. Amanda was our guide and she was very informative and welcoming. We can impress people with our love of soba, thanks for introducing it to us!
