I welcome you to my sake tasting experience in Kobe. We'll explore at least four of my favorite breweries in Nada area. I'm passionate about sake, and I’d like to share with you the process of sake making, comparing different kinds and brands. You will taste the differences between sakes—the highest quality, unfiltered, unpasteurized, and many other seasonable sakes. We'll also visit a special brewery, founded over 250 years ago, that still makes sake in small batches. It is the one of the smallest breweries around here. You will get to know the production method, while getting a feel for the deliciousness by actually tasting freshly made sake. Finally, we'll visit an innovative brewery that makes brandy, sherry, Chardonnay in sake and citrus fruit sakes.
Other things to note
Please eat something before drinking sake! The transportation fee is not included. We walk around 3km, I recommend that you wear comfortable shoes. Please bring a backpack for souvenir sake bottles.

Hi, I've done sake sommelier course of Sake Service Institution. I'm excited to help you discover everything I know about sake. I started up Kampai Sake Tours (Crew Mirai & Yurina) after backpacking around the world. I grew up in the city of Nara, and I love to go on adventures.

We'll meet in front of the train station (Ishiyagawa station on Hanshin line), and get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere. We focus on small, local breweries and will visit at least three Kobe favorites before the biggest sake brewery in Japan. The small breweries make deeply flavored sake by hand with new small batch, craft sake every year. One of these small brewery's sake is served at the Nobel Prize Award Ceremony banquet.
great tour, tried many sake and bought myself a plum and lemon flavor sake. great host, very knowledgeable about sake. During our trip we stopped to take a break and got some tasty tofu croquette. I recommend this for anyone visiting kobe to take a little detour and try some sake.

We loved the tour put together by Nishikawa-san. He was very attentive from start to finish and we honestly tasted one of the best sake’s ever. It was also good to meet the other people who were part of the tour.
I truly recommend this it and would love to do it again with more friends.

Fantastic tour! Our tour guide was very sweet and personable, and gave us an in depth tour of the sake breweries in kobe. We were served more sake than we could drink, and had some authentic tofu meal along the way. Highly recommend this tour, they know their stuff.
