I’m an expert mountaineer and founder of outdoor training and adventure sports company, TORI. I’ve climbed all four of Mexico's dormant volcanoes and Argentina's Aconcagua, the highest mountain outside Asia. I've also climbed Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps, and many other peaks around the world. I'm always excited to share the thrill of hiking with others.
We’ll hike Nevado de Toluca, an extinct volcano and Mexico's fourth-highest peak. We’ll walk through a large forest on the way to the crater’s two lakes, Laguna de la Luna (Lake of the Moon) and Laguna del Sol (Lake of the Sun). Be sure to bring sunscreen, backpack, jacket and something warm to wear as it gets chilly on the mountain. Wear boots or shoes with good grip for hiking, don’t forget your camera. No jeans or shoes.
