体験できること

In this experience, you'll make 3 Miso balls, which used to be Samurai's mobile soup mixes. It's possible to carry with you while in the travell and will boost your energy when you're tired.

The ingredients are dried veggies, seaweeds, grains, spices and etc. You can choose it from a good variety of ingredients. No worries if you're a vegan.

The mix isn't only for making Miso soup, but also possible to make Indian spinach curry soup, Russian Borsch, corn chowder...its like food magic!

1.
I'll demonstrate how you can make Miso balls.

2.
Then, you'll taste them and hopefully impressed with the tastes and my recipes.

3.
After you get the idea, you'll create your own Miso balls. You can make 3 Miso balls by following my recipes or following your intuition.

4.
Move on to packaging 2 Miso balls and try one before finishing the workshop.


* You don't need to be good at cooking nor art. This workshop is designed for everyone. There're some participants who didn't like cooking or Miso but they loved this workshop and the taste. This workshop often blows people's mind.
Other things to note
Please avoid wearing white clothes incase some ingredients were spilt on your clothing.

Love fermenting anything, travelling and believing in Miso. My passion for Miso brought me from up-north Norway and to south-down Newzealand to do Miso workshops in overseas.

In 2019, I had 383 people who have joined my WS and 144 people joined this Miso ball WS. I'm grateful and confident to share this WS on Airbnb.

Most of the participants amaze with how Miso can be transformed into any kind of soup. I found that Miso is NOT only for making Japanese cuisine but also useful for anything. It goes well even with coconut milk, turmeric and beetroots.

If you are curious about the taste, please join my WS. You don't need to be good at cooking or art but only you need is curiosity. I'll show you the secret of Miso.

実施場所

The workshop venue is at my family home close to Unoki station in Tokyo.

The Unoki station is accessible by Tamagawa line from Kamata station or Tamagawa station.
Please come to the Unoki station and we walk to the workshop venue. It takes about 5 mins.

The best food experience in Tokyo If anyone is interested in learning about Miso or Japanese food culture, Akane will be your best guide to it. She is extremely passionate about fermentation and she was able to answer all my questions. Her experience was very interactive and she designed the class very well. Miso ball is an excellent way to prepare a quick, almost instant, delicious bowl of soup without compromising the quality. I actually learned a technique I will use in the future. Akane is an easy-going, warm person and her English was fluent. So don’t hesitate to pick her experience over any other food tour!
