This luxury 10,000 sq.ft. home is 5 min drive to Calgary, 45 min. driving distance to the gorgeous Rocky Mountains of Alberta in Banff National Park and Lake Louise. Great for large families, tour groups and TV/movie crews. Skiing, hiking, boating! Please be advised that the home is not equipped to host large parties and large events.
There are 8 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms in this massive home at the edge of Calgary, Alberta on almost 5 beautiful acres with 4 car garage and an additional massive driveway that can accommodate another 8 cars. The home can accommodate 20+ people. Enjoy the privacy of this secluded community neighborhood and the proximity to all of the big city's amenities only 5 minutes away. Gorgeous woods, pond, and nature walks all over the property. Luxury bathrooms, spiral staircase, walkout basement, and modern kitchen. Master bathroom with huge Soaker tub and the two upstairs attached baths have claw foot tubs and stand up showers. Dual full ovens, microwave, modern fridge, alarm system, gas range. There are 4 outdoor spaces off the home (basement patio, kitchen deck, upper floor balconies). BBQ available.
This is an estate area with about 20 homes with large acreage properties. It is a very quick drive into the main city center. Secluded, yet still a community and not too isolated.

  • Absolutely beautiful home which was a perfect choice for my sister's 70th birthday party. There was plenty of room for all us with several lounge areas for visiting situated through the house. The kitchen was functional with very basic cooking tools. If privacy is desired, this is a fantastic choice as it is in a secluded wooded area. The owner was accessible for questions and was quick to respond. All in all, we agreed that this was a beautiful home to meet at for special occasions. Thank you.

  • Home was perfect for our 12 guests. There was ample space for everyone to sleep comfortably. Everyone had their own master washroom as well, which was necessary as it was a ladies weekend.. so we didn't have to fight for mirror space. Also, Iqbal's son and nephew came straight over when we couldn't figure out how to work the projector. The host was so accommodating with our questions and requests. It was a great weekend in a lovely and peaceful setting.

The house was so spacious and interesting to explore, yet everyone who stayed over still could have private space when they needed it.   • This is a great home especially if a large group. It served our purpose well with as many as 15 of us coming from out of town for a wedding. It allowed us to get together with family and friends that were attending the function. The house was more than what we expected with ensuites for each bedroom, 2 fridges, double ovens, 2 coffee pots, dishwasher, bbq and washer & dryer. The basement was a great hang out area for our group as it had a pool table, bar area with lots of extra seating along with a separate media room. The owner is hospitable and fast in responding to any inquiries. We would recommend this home and would stay again if we needed a location for a large group in the future.

    What our guests love about our listing: - Our spa inspired bathroom with rain shower head. - The handcrafted decor and ambiance. - The easy access to transit that brings you within minutes to Edmonton's biggest venues and downtown core as well as groceries next door. What some of our guests do not love that much about our listing: - Being right next to a transit access point although handy does mean the traffic that runs by it might disturb some light sleepers. - The apartment is located in an older working class urban neighborhood and although very safe it may feel strange for some who are used to a rural or suburb setting. Located in a condominium 5 MINUTES FROM DOWNTOWN, this place is fully equipped with HIGH-SPEED WIRELESS INTERNET, HD TV and it has recently been fully renovated to accommodate as many as 6 guests. The kitchen is up-to-date, fully equipped with appliances. The living room has a nice L-shape super comfy couch with a 55" Samsung HD screen. Attached, you'll find the bedroom, with a super comfy QUEEN TEMPURPEDIC MATTRESS with its own closet and plenty of space to put all your luggage. The couch in the living room also opens up to a DOUBLE MATTRESS to accommodate 2 more guests and a QUEEN AIR MATTRESS is also available to put up to sleep another 2 (so 5 people total).
    If you want to work out, swim, play badminton, basketball, or soccer, you can walk (or borrow the bike and cycle) to Commonwealth Stadium, national soccer stadium and home of the Edmonton Eskimos CFL football team. During the summer close-by Borden Park is a great place for a picnic or to play soccer and tennis. (David holds a national tennis professional certification and may be available for private lessons upon request) To add to the coziness only a block away there's a Save On Foods supermarket (full of organic produce), two hair salons, a dry cleaning service, fast food (Panago Pizza, Subway, MacDonalds), and a medical center.
  • The location is amazing! Only a couple minutes to get to the Shaw Conference Centre where we were attending a concert. David and Maya were unable to meet us this time but david left us with great instructions on how to get in and operate everything. The place was tidy and inviting. The bed is even better than my own at home! I'm looking forward to staying here again in May for another concert!

I booked this apartment for an interview and had everything I needed, including a restful, quiet, comfortable sleep (in a very comfortable bed!). Immaculate space, super cool and welcoming decor, and fully equipped for everything you need--or may have forgotten for your stay! The check-in using the August app was flawless and all instructions were sent in advance.. I had everything I needed well before I got to Edmonton, and had I needed any assistance, I know that help would be near at hand. Great location as well--wish I could've explored the beautiful park nearby or walked the short distance to catch the river valley views. Downtown was just a super short drive away. I'm so fortunate to have stayed here! :)

We had trouble with the Internet for the first day but it eventually was sorted out. One setback was the fact that the oven didn't work, meaning we couldn't cook anything and had to eat out instead (not our first choice).

  • Tina's apartment is in a lovely part of downtown Calgary, with convenient access to a Safeway, Shoppers Drug Mart and nice shops, and the place was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated having parking included and flexible check-in. The most remarkable thing about our experience was Tina's amazing responsiveness to our questions and e-mails, which was really great - she always responded within a few hours. We did have an issue that we went back and forth with Tina about, but at the end of the day we were really satisfied and thankful with the way she endeavoured to resolve our concerns and to ensure we had a good experience.   • Eine tolle Wohnung, sehr zentral in Calgary gelegen. Der Kontakt mit Tina war immer freundlich und nach einem kleinen technischen Problem am Anfang auch schnell und unkompliziert. Die Wohnung ist sehr hübsch, genau wie beschrieben. Zu Fuß sind es nur etwa 10 min. nach Downton Calgary, das Auto kann man somit auf dem zur Wohnung gehörenden Parkplatz stehen lassen. Der Parkplatz ist in einer Großstadt natürlich ein weiterer Pluspunkte. Wir haben uns auf jeden Fall sehr wohl gefühlt. Lediglich die Anzahl der Handtücher war für drei Personen etwas knapp und den Fernseher haben wir beim besten Willen nicht angeschaltet bekommen - vielleicht ware hier eine kurze Anleitung eine gute Idee.

  • Love Shack is an amazing place with many details that you can not find in the city life. Decor of the place is out of this world, very well designed nice, comfortable, cute little cabin with lots of privacy. It is a great runaway location, if you need to relax, rejuvenate and charge your life batteries in a very short time. Sherrie and Neil are great hosts, very positive, always welcoming and most importantly they do love whatever they are doing. Communication was top notch, Cleanliness is impeccable and hospitality is superb. There is no wonder they are SuperHost. It is a must re-visit cabin that we are planning to escape again whenever we have a chance.

    Cute and simple mini cottage nestled in old growth forest between 2 creeks. Very peaceful and quiet. Lots of light, it has 19 windows! Try out the micro home lifestyle! Please read full description before booking, this is a nonconforming accommodation :)
    I designed and built this semi rustic mini cottage as a hobby project 3 years ago. It's 12 x 12 feet with a small sleeping loft. Its simple, basic, and uncluttered. Very peaceful and quiet, tucked away in the trees with a king of the castle view down to Sproule creek. The kitchenette has a mini fridge, toaster oven, 2 burner hotplate, and microwave. Water is supplied by 5 gallon container which sits next to the sink. There's a small table with 2 chairs and a love seat. A radiant space heater keeps it really warm and cozy all year round. The loft is accessed by ladder (not suitable for those who have trouble with ladders) and has a firm double mattress. The bathroom and w/d facility are in a separate building (main residence) 20 meters away from the cabin. The bathroom is large and spacious and is shared with other airbnb guests. Cottage guests have 24hr access to the bathroom which is just inside the front door of the main residence. IMPORTANT: 1 night bookings are not accepted unless booked WITHIN 3 WEEKS of arrival.
    8 minutes drive west of Nelson. 10 minutes drive to downtown. Quiet neighborhood of hobby farms. 20 minutes to the Whitewater turn off. Red Mountain about an hour away. Sproule creek hiking trail 1 minute up the road. Taghum beach 5 minutes away.

  • Kris and Annalise's spot was at an amazing location, with the most beautiful view that prompted us to go to sleep with the windows uncovered. It was immaculately clean, with everything you'd ever think you need available. There was a fresh market downstairs which was great to grab breakfast at. There was also a gym and hot tub available for use, which we did not, but was nice to have. They were great hosts who replied quickly via text whenever I needed them, and also checked up on us after the first night. Very convenient location - I highly recommend this to all travelers to Calgary and will definitely be staying here again next time. Again.... BEAUTIFUL VIEW. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

  • Kris and Annalise have a gorgeous apartment in the centre of downtown. I attended a conference at the Telus Centre and it was the perfect location for that - a short 8 minute walk to and from - super convenient location. The apartment has a beautiful view of the Calgary Tower and it elegantly furnished. It was the perfect place to stay. Kris and Annalise have all the logistics figured out, with clear laminated directions for check-in, check-out, wifi, using the smart TV, etc. The building is very secure with a big cardio room, weight room, hottub (which we didn't end up using - it was across the skywalk on the other keynote building) and has a nice liquor and beer store (5 Vines) and a grocery store on the main floor (Sunterra). I would Highly reccommend it!

The community is an established area over 100 years old with beautiful tree lined streets and views of the downtown & Deerfoot valley. Easy access to major roads (Deerfoot Trail, 16 Avenue, Memorial Drive), as well as a short 5-10 minute WALK to the Calgary Zoo, Telus Spark Science Center, Zoo LRT station, restaurants, parks & coffee shops. Come enjoy the private one-bedroom basement suite in our home with separate entrance, kitchen, full bath, living room and large windows. The suite has one QUEEN bed and a comfortable pullout double sofabed in the living room. If you are a family of more than 4 and would like to stay, please feel free to ask.     Renfrew is a well established neighborhood located NE of the city's downtown core. We are a 10 min walk to either the Telus Spark Science Center and the Calgary Zoo, two of Calgary's biggest attractions. The city's train system (called the LRT) is located at the Zoo entrance and can take you too all quadrants of the city (fees apply for purchasing tickets). The park which is located across the street from our house used to be part of the Zoo as well way back in the 1950s & 1960s! Today, it is called Tom Campbell's Hill Natural Park. With FANTASTIC views of the city year round & prime views of New Years, Canada Day as well as Stampede fireworks, it is a great place to go for a walk. Just be prepared for lots of dogs because it is also a busy off-leash park. Our community is slowly being revitalized with lots of new residential construction. Go down the hill to the community of Bridgeland/Riverside for a coffee or breakfast as well. See the map on my listing for locations of recommended sights/attractions/food/beverage establishments. For your own safety please do not leave any valuables in your vehicles. We live in a safe area but leaving valuables can attract thieves anywhere. Prevention is the best action to take!

Ended up calling Sumer to get the details when we arrived in late evening. Overall a nice and clean place with everything we needed for a cozy stay. Didn't get to meet the owners though they were nice to us when we chatted via msging. The location was quiet but great as it was near to airport and downtown. Would recommend the place especially if you want to cook during your stay. Love the fully equipped kitchen :)

    Our 555 sq ft modern loft is open concept with 6 wonderfully large windows that light the place right up. We are located right in the heart of downtown, and the only condo building to be directly connected to the lrt train station. ****The building does not have parking*** there is parkades and street parking available just outside the building at your cost.
    The building is very secure it has a 24 hour door person and fob entry into the building. It is the only building where you can take the elevator underground to the LRT. A tv with Netflix and wifi internet is included, we have a desk for anyone that needs to get some work done. Located right on Jasper ave the area is full of festivals during summer that are just steps away. In the winter take advantage of being able to access City Center without having to step outside in the cold by taking the elevator downstairs for underground access that will take you to great shopping, the movies or dinner. There are many great restauraunts in the area. Coming to Edmonton for a concert? walking distance to the new rogers arena about a 14 minute walk or a short ride to rexall on the lrt. ******There is a parkade located behind the building with hourly, daily, weekly and monthly rates available but the building itself does not have parking***** Overall this is a great location in walking distance to many places.

It's nice to have dishes, utensils and dish towels too so you don't have to pack up all that stuff in case you bring food along. The fridge and microwave are in good working order. The bed is super comfy. Had a great rest. Ryland got in touch with us as promised and he emailed us the check in procedure and it was really easy. There is free wi fi so that's always a plus. We had our own vehicle so it wasn't a very long drive to stores and food. I hope we can come again but stay longer. Fernie has lots to do all year round. Eleanor

My favourite aspect was the location; it is about a 3-5 minute drive to Fernie Alpine Resort, making it a great location for a weekend hiking/biking/skiing trip. Definitely more welcoming than a hotel room. I didn't really have any contact with Ryland but he seems pretty nice. He definitely made the process easy and all of his instructions were straightforward. I definitely plan on staying there again when we travel to Nelson again.

    The treehouse is situated on bench, in the middle of a forest, overlooking the Thompson River valley to the mountain across.     Take a walk into the wild side of British Columbia. A 10 minute walk up through the forest takes you to an unforgettable wilderness accommodation. Completely hidden from the outside world, the treehouse sits in a grove of alpine fir trees, on a mountain bench overlooking the South Thompson River valley. Sun Peaks lies directly through the west window and the gently rolling mountains of the Shuswap through the north window. Upwards, behind you to the east, as you stand on the deck, extends Mt Chase and utter wilderness. Please be aware, the cabin is truly in the wilderness. A complete lack of civilization exists. When the solar lights are out in the treehouse, the only glow are the stars in the sky and possibly your spirits soaring. The only sounds are your own and a possible owl hooting, frog singing or crickets chirping. The treehouse is surrounded by a vast forest, absolutely full of life. -The cabin is lit with solar lights but on the short winter days, power needs to be used wisely. There are also two very bright battery lanterns available. Lights are the only use of electricity. No other devices, though I can provide a battery pack for charging cell phones. -Bedding and lots of kitchen stuff is provided and a little kitchen for cooking and heating water for cleaning is inside -A low flow, gravity water system provides water for washing, showering with a small toilet and sink. The very nice outhouse is also available -My 160 acres and the surrounding crown land provide you with your own private winter wonderland. 2 km of my driveway make a very fun sledding, snowboarding/ski run. Lots of area to explore with snowshoes and cross country skis. Absolutely private, meaning there will be no other humans around. I live at up above at the end of the road and am virtually isolated from cabin and driveway activity. -Butler Rd, which is my driveway is 3 km long and I maintain it quite nicely. A 4 wheel drive can make it up easily and depending on the type of car, can make it up too. Worst case scenario, I can pick up you and your gear and drive it up, leaving your car in a parking area at the bottom of the hill. Bear and mosquito spray are provided. The ability to climb two flights of stairs is a requirement, as well as a keen sense of adventure.
    The treehouse is completely isolated. My 160 acres is surrounded by protected wilderness.

    The cabin is a 15 minute drive off the Transcanada Highway though you feel as if you have stepped into the middle of nowhere. Completely surrounded by nature and quiet, there are no visible neighbors. A quick trip will take you to many fun and interesting adventures.

Kitchen stocked with the essentials even cooking oil, spices, oatmeal, coffee, tea, you name it! One itty bitty complaint would be the lack of a microwave and better kitchen knives. But we made do. Location is great, 5 min drive to groceries and just located off the road up to big white. Sheets were clean, bed was comfy and everything worked as it should've. Would definitely stay here again.     Incredible value for your money in Canada's Palm Springs playground on the lake. A quiet, clean and quaint heritage artist's house in a village of 1950's bungalows at the base of Knox Mountain only 20 minutes walk away from downtown. No children. No pets. Lovely feeling of stepping into a calmer past with all of imperfections and sense of character that come with a heritage home. You will not find another host with as much experience and as many positive reviews in all of Kelowna.
    Incredible value for your stay. Two twin beds, desk, chest of drawers, fast wifi. Basket of supplies in the room. Toiletries in bathroom. Step in the door and the experience begins. Bright colors, heritage furniture, a book shelf full of self help and spiritual books for your use. Colorful walls are hung with the works of the artist owner. People describe it as "quaint", "a sanctuary" and "adorable". In season, roses line the front yard and the walk way to the house has welcoming lavender on both sides. Artist's house with the owner's art on every wall. All art works are for sale. The character house built in 1946 for returning veterans sits in the peaceful north end neighbourhood beneath the trails of Knox Mountain. Walk or drive the road up Knox to see the vista of Okanagan Lake spread beneath. One trail leads to Paul's Tomb a lovely, secluded swimming hole. The nature trail up Knox Mountain allows for a stunning site to photograph all of Okanagan Lake. Parking available and free directly in front of the house. Very safe and secure neighbourhood. Room is 159.5 square feet. wifi, and use of laundry facilities. Quiet house with no pets or children. Shared use of kitchen. Shared bathroom with adjoining room. Towels and wash cloths provided.     My neighbourhood is a 15 to 20 minute walk away from many restaurants, coffee houses, local shops, an actor's theatre company, walk up Knox Mountain to view the expanse of the lake. The area is quiet, serene and an historical enclave of houses built from 1946 to 1950.

The cabin is outfitted with 2 bedrooms with queen beds,a sleeping loft with an additional 2 queen beds and 2 full bathrooms. The vaulted ceiling living room boasts 180 degrees of forest, mountain and river views. For cooking and dining there is a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor gas BBQ. Bordering crown land with wilderness on all sides this is the perfect place to relax, explore and commune with nature. The Blaeberry River outside presents beautiful canoeing and rafting opportunities. Hiking trails abound including easy riverside walks to full mountain scrambles. The town of Golden offers additional recreational opportunities including whitewater rafting, and skiing. You are also surrounded by 5 National Parks nearby. Despite being in the midst of pristine wilderness the modern amenities and fine dining options of Golden are never far away. Only 20 minutes drive to town and an additional 10 to Kicking Horse Resort. This is a true modern Canadian Rockies experience.
  • What an exceptional building in a fantastic setting, surrounded by woodland and visited by lots of wildlife, we saw deer every day we were there and Ryan said that bears visit occasionally as well! The house has two proper bedrooms and an extra space under the eaves with two more double beds, all designed in beautifully simple white with grey wood floors. We stayed in the summer so didn't need the wood burner but did make use of the BBQ outside, there's also a fire pit for roasting marshmallows! The property isn't completely on it's own as there is another log cabin that Ryan is currently renovating (Aug 2014), but it has been designed so that no windows from the property overlook the log cabin. Also it's not well signposted from the road, take the first left after the bridge. It's a fantastic building in an incredible setting and we'd love to come back again and bring some friends.

  • Our stay in this ultra-modern cabin was one of the high points of our month trip round Canada. It is very secluded while being 20 minutes drive from Golden and although not technically part of a national park, just as beautiful. There is a river with a mountain view on either side that is only really accessible from the house so you have that to yourselves. The house itself is comfortable and well-designed, with the glass walls blurring the outside and inside world. Ryan was quick to respond when we asked to stay an extra night (couldn't bear to leave) and gave us good tips about the local area. Definitely go to Thompson Falls (about 7km away from the house) - impressive and totally untouched - and drive to the top of Mount 7 for sunset.

  • This was our second stay at the Tranquil Lakefront Retreat and it was just as great as the first! This is a beautiful place to unplug and relax from the business of everyday life.   • My wife and I had the most perfect white Christmas staying at Donna's wonderful cabin in the woods. The place is exactly as it is in the photos, right on the lake and nestled beautifully in the woodland. The cabin has all the necessities you need, and more so. Donna even ensured we had chopped wood for the fireplace. There is electric heating in the place to keep it warm but having a wood fire too really creates that tranquil and idilic setting. We would love to come back and stay here in the summer to take advantage of the lake.

Walking distance to Capri Center that you can find a big grocery store, Winners, Fatburger, Dairy Queen, Old Spaghetti Factory and a lot more! 5min drive or 20min walk to City Park that kids can play in Water Park or beach and many other activities in that park! Air Conditioner in hot days helped big time. If you don't know in Kelowna you'll get 40 degC or higher in the hot days of summer. Ross is very responsive and helpful. He even left a bottle of high quality BC wine for us! He was also very nice to mail me one electronic device that I left at the house :) Definitely recommended and will stay again next time we are in Kelowna.

    Our rustic log cabin in the middle of the majestic British Columbia Rocky Mountains will make you feel right at home. You'll love your stay here with our stone fireplace, beautiful mountain views, and authentic log cabin feel. My place is good for couples and families with kids and big groups. This all gets better with a fire-pit by the cabin to hangout around it with friends. :) Due to the remote nature of our cabin, WiFi is spotty and strongest near the head office.
    The loft is on the top floor and has a queen, two twin beds and a washroom. The bottom floor has a kitchen, bedroom (with a queen), bathroom, and a living room with a pull out sofa.
    We're located 20 minutes from Golden, BC and out in the majestic wildnerness. All the cabins are surrounded by beautiful mountains and a creek flows to the side.     This is a 60 sq m (650 sq ft) one bedroom/one bathroom self contained suite with a living area and a kitchen. The apartment is equipped with wireless internet and TELUS TVs with Netflix. The living area has a couch and chair, table and chairs for eating, and a queen size Murphy (fold down) bed. There is a full size washer and drier in a closet off the living area. The kitchen has a full size fridge, microwave, induction cooking plate, toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker, and dishes. The kitchen is stocked with basic supplies like salt/pepper, cooking oil, and with coffee/tea, cereal, and fruit for your first breakfast. The bathroom has a sink, toilet, and tub with shower. There is a small balcony with bistro table and two chairs.

If you think the pictures and reviews are great wait until you walk into the place. Its like a suite at the Pan Pacific Hotel but better! There is everything you need from: Fresh fruit, croissants, cereal, jams, all the cooking equipment you need and so much more. Why would anyone ever stay at a hotel again after staying at Summerland Sleeps. The neighborhood is so quiet and beautiful even with a winery within walking distance. At night time all you hear are some crickets, it was one of the best sleeps we ever had. Ceri and Brent do a wonderful job at making you feel welcomed! They are wonderful host! Just a heads up that the space is very scented with a variety of air fresheners in the event you have any sensitivities. Clean and lovely.

The workmanship within the tree house is beautiful from both Debbie and Mikes handiwork which allows fir a perfect get away . You will spend the first day admiring all the art-full big and little touches there are. You will spend the second day discussing how anyone could work so hard to create such a place. And the next day will be spent patting yourself on the back that you managed to find the tree house on air BnB. A must see. We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights aloft with the sound of the wind in the branches to lull us to sleep and the birds and the sunrise to awaken us to a peaceful morning breakfasting on the deck. Every detail has been thought of here and each window has its own breathtaking view. The hummingbirds, the doe, and the fish in the pond were our only neighbors within sight. Communication was on point, they are super helpful and the entire family is delightful. I already want to go back. This barn is definitely going to be my back pocket place to stay in Inveremere.   • Many of the wonderful reviews for this barn are from large groups, but if you are looking for a some quiet, romantic, refresh time, it is also perfect for that! My husband and I visited during the winter. We didn’t intend on doing much other than kicking back by the wood stove, but there is a path you could XC ski on and lots of room to snowshoe right on the property. The fire burning hot tub heated up quickly and has spectacular views, even on a grey day. There is a sound system to plug your device in a have your own music going (inside and outside). Tons of pillows, blankets, towels, cloths, etc. and the kitchen is FULL with all the utensils, pots, pans and dishes you would need. There’s even spices, random baking supplies, coffee & tea. Gerard & Caio greated us when we arrived with delicious fresh baked muffins. They were very welcoming, eager to make our stay the best and yet respected the privacy we needed to recharge. I would highly recommend checking this place out, but book multiple nights, you won’t want to leave!

    Private 1016 sq foot condo with two bedrooms. The space is bright and refreshing. Perfect for a relaxing visit! Master suite has a queen sized bed and ensuite bathroom (shower, no tub). The 2nd bedroom has a double sized bed, and a full bathroom (has a tub) just steps away. Toiletries included in the bathrooms: shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There is also a hair dryer in each bathroom.   • This condo was perfect for our needs. Our host gave us a handout with every possible question answered. Great location for north Edmonton. Every small convenience was thought of by these great hosts. From tassimo coffee pods to bandaids.. They thought of everything in this super clean and tidy condo. Beds are comfy. And plenty of linens and towels were provided. Neighbours in the condo building are friendly and quiet. Even the condo building staff vacuuming the hallways was polite and friendly. I would stay again on another trip to Edmonton.

They met me within an hour after booking to drop off the keys and show me around the condo. Iris & Andrew were very lovely and friendly couple. They went above and beyond as hosts. Even offering me a ride to pick up some Wine. Just amazing people. The condo was very clean and in a great location. while the pictures are lovely, the place actually looks better in person. They were very accommodating and helpful with directions and didn't mind at all that we ran a few minutes later than what we had initially discussed. They met us at the apartment to show us around and make sure we were comfortable. The listing is exactly what it looks like in the pictures. 100% accurate. Beautiful place, perfect neighbourhood, quiet, clean, everything we wanted. The hosts left little things in the apartment for our convenience( hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, granola bars, oatmeal, sugar, tea, coffee, tassimo machine, etc) It was great. Parking was a breeze, as our spot was almost directly in front of the building so we could see our vehicle from the front window, which was nice. They left a list on the counter of important numbers, wifi info and places to order take out, shop, etc. It was perfect! The bed was so comfortable, the temperature of the apartment was perfect. The hosts checked in with us about halfway through the week via text message which was a very nice gesture. HIGHLY recommended!! I hope we get the chance to stay here again! No question!   • Iris and Andrew have a lovely brand-new two-bedroom condo. It's bright, light, and immaculately kept, and furnished with IKEA. The kitchen has all the pots & pans and things that you'd need. Bonus for those of you traveling with a baby -- the open concept closet/dressing space (no door) between the master bath and guestroom fits a pack-n-play perfectly, so the baby has a bit of space of its own out of the way of the main bedroom. Easy access from this place to the west side of Edmonton and there's a Superstore very close by (this is turning into such a parent's review, but I am wearing my "I survived a 2000 mile road trip with two kids" badge proudly) for necessities. Iris and Andrew were great! They checked up on us to see if we needed anything, and they had a helpful list of restaurants/things to do readily available in the kitchen. Definitely would stay again -- perhaps again next summer!

  • It was beautiful. We did have a few small issues that may be able to be prevented for future guests. The wifi stopped working on the second day and despite resetting the router it did not come back on. The hot tub was stuck at 108 degrees and would not lower despite us adjusting it. The jets in the master bath tub would not turn on. The large fancy shower downstairs would not turn on. The house was clean, the host was helpful, the grounds were beautiful. A little difficult to find but so worth it! Thanks!

Tasha is the dog that is on site she is a wonderful dog we enjoyed her company too.     Nestled in the heart of the West Kootenays, the converted historic Church offers a unique sanctuary only 25 min from Nelson. Walking distance from town amenities and the Salmo river, the area boasts Hiking, Biking, Skiing, Disc golf and much more.     The Church is one of the lone surviving buildings from the gold rush era fire that destroyed much of the town. Since its restoration, this 110 year old eclectic sanctuary houses a private art gallery that compliments the unique craftsmanship within the building. It has 2 queen size beds 2 Single beds and one queen size pullout bed. The space can comfortably accommodate 4 to 8 people while maintaining its spacious feel due to the high cathedral ceilings.
    We live in the small community of Ymir and enjoy being close to nature. The simple life inspires a peaceful consciousness, and an opportunity to fully appreciate the natural wonders that abound in this area. The fundamentals of community, sustainability and diversity remain intact in Ymir, and endow our town with a unique and vibrant spirit that has attracted many first generation residents from all walks of life to plant roots. Our small town provides all amenities at walking or biking distance. The Bakery Ymir is open Sunday through Wednesday. Always fresh cinnamon buns and fresh baked bread. Pizza by the slice is delicious and one can always order whole pizza's with a little notice. Sundays are my favorite because of the fresh chocolate filled croissants. Our general store/cafe is a hub that provides you with many groceries, odds and ends, and the best coffee in the area. There is always freshly baked goods, a fully stocked deli and a menu with a variety of choices for breakfast or lunch. The Ymir hotel, with its extensive and famed art collection ie(Papanugini), is an unforgettable local watering hole with dinner service and have a open jam on Friday nights. The proprietor will happily give you a tour of the old building and its art. The Ymir community hall and the Old Ymir School House often host live music and dances.

  • Ymir Church is a great place to stay. Checking in after hours is a non-issue. The wood stove was cozy and kept the place very warm. The whole place is a cozy atmosphere at a great place. Leaps and bounds above any typical hotel. The extra space heater and glove/boot dryers in the heated entry way came in handy for a couple of the warmer/wetter ski days we had.

  • Wow! We are freaken blown away by this beautiful Church. The very moment we walked in, we knew we made the absolute perfect choice to stay here. We had 4 people during our stay in Ymir and it was more than enough room for us. It's quite difficult to describe how we felt here but it was magical to say the least. Check-in and check-out were super easy with the lock box. We always felt safe around the neighborhood even when it was dark outside. The church was very clean and tidy. The best part was being able to start the fireplace with actual firewood and matches! I'd highly recommend anybody to stay here. Thanks Robyn! :)

The comfortable queen sized bed with reading lights, vintage chest of drawers is in a quiet, clean, colorful room with sky blue walls. 15 minutes walk from the stunning Knox Mountain Park with lake views. Lovely feeling of stepping into a calmer past with all of imperfections and sense of character that come with a heritage home. No children. You will not find another host with as much experience and as many positive reviews in all of Kelowna.
    Go back in time in this 1946 small houses; to a quiet and calm neighbourhood; to the magic of a time when gardens showed the personality of the owners. Step in the door and the experience begins. Bright color, heritage furniture, a book shelf full of self help and spiritual books for your use. Colorful walls are hung with the works of the artist owner. People describe it as "quaint", "a sanctuary" and "adorable". In season roses line the front yard and the walk way to the house has welcoming lavender on both sides. Artist's house with the owner's art on every wall. Pieces are for sale. Character house built in 1946 for returning veterans sits in the peaceful north end neighbourhood beneath the trails of Knox Mountain. Walk or drive the road up Knox to see the vista of Okanagan Lake spread beneath. The beauty of Knox Mountain Park with its owls, deer, marmots, eagles and hawks is only 500 meters walk away from the front door. Comfortable Queen Sized bed. Private room. Hostess is a former English teacher and can help with language lessons. Certified TESL and 30 years in high school, college and university as a teacher. Twenty minute walk to downtown Kelowna, one hour to Big White Ski Hill, ten minute walk to Okanagan Lake. Near live theatre, restaurants, art gallery and coffee shops. Visit the wine museum ten minutes away or local museums. Parking available and free in front of the house. For a $20 fee I will pick you up at the bus depot or at the airport. Taxi fare is usually $47. Check out Mad Mango Cafe, Soban Korean Restaurant, Gio's Coffee Cafe and The Curious Cafe. Excellent restaurants, coffee houses within a walking distance. There are two rental bike places within a few blocks on Ellis Street. Kelowna's cultural district is a 15 to 20 minute walk away or three minute walk to the bus. Actor's Studio, Kelowna Art Gallery, many coffee shops and restaurants close by. Ski hill shuttle near by. In very quiet neighbourhood. Ask me about private lessons in art, hand made art cards, photography. I have taught for over 30 years. My goal is to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
    The North End of the city is a quiet village. It was built from 1946 to 1950 for the returning war veterans. It housed the mostly Italian workers who ran the fruit packing factory, the mill and was a close knit community. Friday the rugs were rolled back and the house with the upright piano became a community dance hall. Children and older people danced with parents. Exhausted children were put to sleep on the stairs and upstairs floors. It was a time of interaction and social closeness.

  • I had a short but delightful stay with Cherie. She made me feel most welcome in her cozy home. Although I arrived at night and couldn't see the house number I recognized the warm, bright colours of her living room from the street. I had a very nice conversation with Cherie, which was a great way to unwind after 600 km of driving without a break. She was also right about how peaceful her home is. Even though it is an urban neighbourhood it was nice and quiet and I had a beautiful, restful sleep.

  • I've stayed in the blue room for 11days. The room was bigger and nicer than I thought. It was easy to get to downtown and know mountain which I really liked.     Private home with all you need for a cozy and comfortable stay whether its for a romantic weekend away, or a longer exploration of the beautiful Okanagan Valley. Conveniently located 50ft off of highway 97, its a quick drive to multiple Okanagan cities such as OK Falls, Penticton, Peachland, West Kelowna, and Kelowna. The Apple Orchard Suite is surrounded by wineries and within minutes you can visit wineries such as Backdoor, Sumac Ridge, Crush Pad, as well as Evolve to name a few.
    The carriage style home is private, professionally designed, fully furnished, and located on a 1-acre property. We like to provide a few essentials to start you off on your stay- coffee, tea, cream, butter, and bread are always waiting for you after check in. While staying, enjoy a comfortable queen sized bed, A/C, a fully equipped kitchen, full bathroom with a soaker tub, laundry, TV, DVD player and DVD', a semi private outdoor patio with BBQ, and a fragrance free atmosphere as we use only naturally scented cleaners and no synthetic smells. A family member lives on the top floor of the building and is considerate of guests.
    Our large and secluded property is conveniently located next to the Okanagan's central highway (Hwy 97) and easily accessible. Penticton is a 15 minute drive south, Peachland a 15 minute drive north, and Kelowna is also north about 45 minutes.
  • An absolutely lovely place to stay at in Summerland. It was easy to find and even though we had a big car it was no problem to park it in front of the house. Lorraine was super sweet and she sent us messages before our stay to inform us about how everything works and what we should do in Summerland. Thank you for everything and all the best.

  • We had an amazing time at Lorraine's house! The location is perfect, there were plenty of room for three of us, the bedroom is super cute, the kitchen is very well equipped and there is even a bbq! We loved having chickens around and appreciated fresh eggs for breakfast! The house is pretty close to the highway, but it wasn't noisy at all! Also, having an a/c in the bedroom was great to cool down after a warm day! Strongly recommended, we'll be back! Thank you so much for a warm welcome!

  • Lorraine was a truly amazing host and provided a wonderful and cozy space. On top of this private and comfortable flat in the carriage house, she provided six fresh eggs, cream, coffee and a variety of sauces in the fridge. It was fun to watch the chickens running around and relaxing on the comfortable chairs on the little terrace. When we needed a can opener and couldn't find one in the kitchen, it was no problem to go over to the main house and Lorraine immediately handed one over to us. As Lorraine describes already, the property is just off the Hwy 97, so you do hear the cars and trucks going by. This is the only reason for one star missing.

  • The outdoor pictures of Lorraine's house don't match with the reality. The carriage house is totally closed by fences. The chickens can live and play freely but not the guests. Also, the house is located really closed to the Highway 97. Too bad! The proximity of the chickens as well as the heavy traffic disappointed us. Otherwise, the house is very clean and comfortable.

  • The carriage house is lovely and comfortable. Lorraine provides very special attentions to her guests, such as the necessary for your first breakfast and essentials in case you forgot. There is a great outside patio, however a little noisy with the highway nearby. Well located place, perfect to rest and visit the area of Kelowna and Summerland.

  • When we arrived at 2 am from a exhausting journey from Germany, we found the Apartment so warm and friendly that we felt at home right away. It was so clean, I was not worried about having my kinds crawling on the floor. Lorraine had filled the fridge with eggs, milk, bread, pancake mixture and Juice. WOW! I felt so Special! Lorraine and her Family is very lovely and they really let us feel at home at their place. I can definitly recommend her house! You will not regret a Minute!

  • My husband and I enjoyed a 5 night stay with Lorraine in her comfy and welcoming guest house. The home was exactly as described and truly cozy. It had everything we needed to settle in, and we enjoyed the fresh eggs Lorraine left for us. The chickens greeted us each time we came home which was cute! The patio opens up from the living room with double doors, and it's a great place to enjoy a BBQ at the end of a long day of wine tasting. We will recommend this cottage to friends and for sure come back the next time we head to Summerland.
