  • Right in the heart of it all. Just a stone's throw away from best New Orleans has to offer! If you want an authentic experience, April & Ken will set the stage for you!

    Tamisha2018-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • April and Ken were consummate hosts; they made us feel incredibly welcomed to the Big Easy and went above and beyond to make our first visit flawless. Having stayed at a few airbnb's now, it's hard to find hosts who continue to raise the bar. April and Ken are those people. In addition to their genuine warmth, the unit is quite close to key areas (Frenchman, French Quarter and a bike ride to Magazine etc...). Note that the unit comes with two amazing cruiser bikes and locks included in the rental. Alone, they would be $40/day throughout the city to rent. Added bonus! We would gladly stay here again.

    Daph2015-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little house, absolutely beautifully finished and April and ken are great hosts. This is also a really good value for money option - with bikes including you're saving around $27 per person per day in bike rentals. Seeing the city on bikes is great fun and it takes about 10 minutes to the french quarter or $7 in a cab at night. Couldn't recommend more, thanks for a great trip

  • April & Ken were outstanding host. We arrived fairly early and they graciously allowed us to leave our belongings in the house until the official check in time. They provided a list of recommendations which we tried and they were each fantastic! It truly allowed us to get the genuine feel of NO. The place was exactly as described and displayed in the photos. The neighborhood was quiet, clean and safe. The house was clean and they provided many items to make you feel as though you were at home. You can communicate as much or as little as you like with them. When I sent them a text or email, they were prompt with responses and always pleasant. Transportation in the neighborhood, the bus stop is located right across the street. Be sure to download the schedule. We were grateful to find numbers to taxi cabs in the recommendation list, super helpful. We also used their bicycles, be sure to notify them for the key to the locks. As for location to major attractions, The French Quarter is about a 20 minute walk. Great walk during the day, but not so much in the evening after being out all day. Esplanade is one of the main roads and leads you straight to the Market Place and Frenchman St. Overall FABULOUS TIME! Would definitely recommend this place for your stay! We certainly plan to revisit in the future.

  • April & Ken's apartment was brilliant, really spacious and very clean and modern had everything we needed for our stay. We didn't get to meet April, but Ken is such a nice bloke, he was willing to spend time with us when we bumped into him to tell us places to go eat and drink. Location was good, short bus ride to bourbon and Frenchman. Would definitely stay again.

    Christopher2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Ken & April's apartment, it was well presented with everything we needed, and my wife loved the red appliances and furnishings, just like at our home. We also found having a washing machine and dryer in the apartment a real added convenience, as after a couple of weeks of travelling, it's amazing how much washing you accumulate. The distance to the f French quarter and down town is reasonably close and only a short bus or taxi ride. a nice little touch was the bikes that were available, my son was happy as riding around. I would happily recommend this to others. Cheers Brent, Wilma & Troy from New Zealand.

  • My boyfriend and I recently stayed at April and Ken's guesthouse for a trip to New Orleans. This was our first Airbnb experience and we were very pleased with these accommodations. April is very responsive and it was nice having them on the property when we had questions. The house is very charming, clean and welcoming and in a safe neighborhood right off on of the main roads. We felt safe with a locked courtyard and front door. The house is about a 15-20 minute walk from the bustle of the French Quarter but each morning we took a quick Uber ride down instead. Uber was a GREAT way to get around for the week, a rental car is certainly not needed. This location is also perfect if you want to explore the entire city. We visited other districts and the location is great being about halfway between the French Quarter and City Park. Also, having a full kitchen available was perfect as we bought groceries and made breakfast at the house each morning before going out for the day. We loved staying here for the week and I would certainly recommend it to a friend or stay again when back in NOLA - thanks April & Ken!

    Amanda2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is great for a couple. Has heaps of appliances, washer, dryer, stove, dishwasher and much more. This enabled us to have breakfast and some meals at the apartment. Air conditioned which was appreciated in the hot weather. Unfortunately the bed was uncomfortable but that was the only negative. Tried some of the food recommendations that was provided by April and Ken which were all great esp the Acme Oyster House. Being in the Treme Neighborhood you were close to both the French quarter and Mid City which has the City Park, and plenty of bars & restaurant as well. Uber was very easy to use and cost about US$8-10 to most places. Communication was easy as they live at the property but the apartment is self contained with a private side entrance. Overall highly recommend for stay in New Orleans. Thank you April and Ken.

This beautiful home is in a perfect location to explore the City of New Orleans. It is a hidden gem within walking distance of Frenchmen Street, the best local cafes, bars and restaurants (L'il Dizzy's, Port of Call, Cafe Du Monde), and only 2 blocks from the French Quarters. The home is perfect for those who want to be near it all yet still have an authentic New Orleans experience that is usually only available to locals.
This is a true New Orleans home...you'll enjoy all of the traditional details, like the fireplace and exposed brick.
This neighborhood is alive. It's energy is quintessential New Orleans. You won't find a bad meal or a weak drink. The locals are always friendly and quick to start a conversation.
  • What a wonderful historical spot! Mark's place was really comfortable and just as described. The front porch was a great spot to enjoy the warm December weekend! Thank you to Trudell for delivering our luggage! I will definitely stay here again. Cannot wait!

    Jill2016-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and home. Mark was an attentive host and made the check-in/check-out process easy and quick. It can be a little loud outside--an old house that doesn't really block the noise, but this is half its charm.

    Cory2018-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Marks Place was so clean we felt like we may have been the first people to walk in there. The space is tasteful furnished, giant rooms, beautiful neighbourhood. Must see the back street museum on the same block. Check in was easy. Highly recommend

  • Truedell was helpful and offered lots of good recommendations. Thank you! The apartment is gorgeous with very high ceilings and lovely floors.

  • Mark’s place was great

    Max2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Mark & Truedell were super easy to communicate with and made our arrival at the property seamless. The house was close enough to walk to the quarter and had so much charm.

    Sarah2016-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and beautiful home. The area was perfect for our needs, easy walking distance to everything!

    Joanna2016-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great location few blocks from French Quarter! We brought our family with kids and it was a great place for us. Love the historical home and feel. A very New Orleans experience! The main bed was comfortable (pull-out will be ok for kids, etc.). Very spacious. Check-in and check-out were easy and the hosts were great! We will definitely be back with the kids for our future NOLA weekends!

Guest area features private bedroom and bath with its own private entrance. Only 2 miles from the French Quarter by streetcar. Enjoy complete privacy in the guest space or visit with the hosts as you desire. Additional bedroom is available for groups traveling together or families traveling with children. Please discuss your group's needs with the host. New Orleans license number is 17STR-06526.
Private bedroom and bath in our charming shotgun house just off the Canal Streetcar line only 2 miles from the French Quarter. Guest area features private entrance, lovely patio, beautiful antique furnishings, 11-foot ceilings, petite chandelier, comfortable and clean queen bed, and cozy guest robes. Internet, cable TV, parking, oscillating fan, iron, music player, white noise machine, hairdryer, fridge, coffeepot, crockpot, and snacks are provided. The space has a peaceful, airy feel and is flooded with natural light. This listing is unique in that you have complete privacy from the main house. The guest space has its own exterior door, and you are free to come and go as you please. The garden path leading to your room features motion-activated lighting if you are returning after dark. The room is located down the garden path in the rear of the house. A second bedroom is available for groups, so the space can be made to accommodate 1-4 people. We welcome special requests and will make every effort to assist with needed recommendations. We can also provide a travel crib and other baby items if you wish to travel with your childen. We love hosting guests for honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special events. Our home is located in the historic Mid-City neighborhood, which was one of the first neighborhoods to spring back after extensive flooding due to Hurricane Katrina. Mid-City is located, as the name indicates, in the middle of New Orleans on what was once the backslope of the Mississippi River natural levee. Our home was built around 1910 and is a typical New Orleans-style shotgun house. In New Orleans at the time of construction, the shotgun house utilized a minimized lot frontage, on which taxes were based. The houses were also built without hallways and closets, which would have been counted as rooms for tax purposes. The origin of the building style and the name itself may trace back to Haitian influences on New Orleans, as many Afro-Haitian slaves lived in this area. Our house was recently featured on the HBO series "Treme", as the law office of the character Toni Bernette (played by Melissa Leo) and also as part of the interior of the home of Creighton Bernette (played by John Goodman). Guests are free to have complete privacy or to meet with the host as desired to obtain recommendations for food, drink, and attractions. Check-in is offered via a lockbox. Rates may vary during special events and holidays. Our home is located just off the parade route for Endymion, the largest parade of Mardi Gras. The festival grounds for Jazz Fest are just over 1 mile away.
Mid-City is a diverse neighborhood with its own distinctive flavor. Bars and restaurants in this area are largely patronized by locals, so the neighborhood provides an escape from the more touristy areas of the city, while still allowing easy access to the French Quarter via the Canal Streetcar Line.
  • What a great place to call home for 2 nights while traveling through New Orleans. A very quaint and clean bedroom in the back of one of the classy shotgun style homes just outside the French Quarter. Erin checked us in and gave us some helpful hints on the best restaurants in Mid City and best mode of travel to and from the Quarter. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return.

    David2014-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon... And his 40th bday... And our good friend's wedding! We really could not have been happier! It was beautiful and just a short ride away from the Canal Street Car which brings you right into the French Quarter. A taxi was also just a quick and cheap fare ! Our Hosts were incredibly thoughtful ! They made sure we had everything we needed and then some! We will def be back! Sure quiet and clean as well! Oh! And she left us snacks , drinks, travel info, and just about anything else we would have needed!!!

    Chelsea2014-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful room exactly as described. The home is convenient to any transportation available and to restaurants and clubs. Check in and out was as easy as can be. Erin was fast and easy with communication.

    Julia2015-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay! It is 100% accurate to pictures and locations. Bed is very comfortable, internet is fast, shower is strong. They were responsive and good natured, especially when I messed up their simple instructions on how to get in to the room. Lovely and I would absolutely rent again, when I visit the amazing New Orleans again!

    Heidi2016-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first airbnb experience and I want to say thank you to erin and her husband for making us feel at home and being so accommodating. Great communication throughout the whole process, the room was exactly as described/pictured, every effort was made to make us comfortable and provide an "at home" environment.

    Alicia2013-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for 3 days leading up to my wedding and for the night of my wedding in March 2014. It was a perfect quaint place to stay while celebrating this happy occasion. I felt like I was staying in an expensive hotel, while also experiencing a sense of being at home! Even when I had myself, 3 bridesmaids, the flower girl, the mother of the bride, the photographer and the hair dresser in this small space we all managed very well and enjoyed the cozy environment! I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in New Orleans!

    Shannon2014-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • The room at Erin's is amazing, great location, spacious enough for 2 and the bathroom is particularly beautiful!! Erin is also a supremely friendly host, helpful with any queries or requests, and very welcoming where the room has everything you'll need if you've accidentlt forgotten any minor items!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Erin to anyone who's looking!! Cheers Erin!

    AJ2016-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I booked Erin's place for a wedding we were attending in the French Quarter. We were pleased with our visit! Upon arrival, we followed her instructions to retrieve the keys from the lock box, and we never needed to ask for anything else during our five night stay. The room was clean and quiet and comfortable, and the perfect size for two guests. We enjoyed the snacks, coffee, and cold beverages that were made available, as well as the luxurious bathroom accommodations. The private patio, while we didn't get much of a chance to utilize it, was a lovely touch. A book of suggested restaurants and bars, many within walking distance, was helpful in making sure we were well-fed and had an option for a nightcap without having to make a long journey. The neighborhood felt safe and walkable, and the neighbors were friendly. Don't miss out on breakfast at the Ruby Slipper or a friendly drink at The Holy Ground, both of which were a short walk away. Getting to and from the French Quarter, museums, and the zoo were easy via the streetcar, taxicabs, and buses. We would definitely consider booking with Erin again if we were coming back to New Orleans!

  • We had a great stay at Matthews. It was even better then the pictures and described. Great location. You have everything you need in his apartment. It has been a great experience staying there the last two days. We wish we had longer!

    Rebekah 2016-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is very clean, and comfortable. Matthew is very organized, with lists of clubs and restaurants available on the coffee table. Nice, quiet neighborhood to stay. Highly recommended.

    jeffrey2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Every detail of this place has received close attention and it shows. The apartment was clean and as advertised, plus the laminated lists of helpful food and drink places and attractions were helpful. Wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy it all!

    Jonathan2018-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew was a wonderful host, and this studio was the perfect place for our stay Uptown. It had all the amenities we needed and looked exactly like the picture. Would definitely stay here again.

    Kate2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Matt's wonderful studio exceeded our expectations overwhelmingly. Matt coordinated our arrival via text a few days leading up to the trip. The place was ready and perfect. The neighbor was very charming and beautiful. No need to rent a car, the beginning St. Charles Streetcar is about a 2 block walk. We took it back from late nights in the FQ a few times and felt completely safe walking the area late a night. Matt had the place stocked with some good snacks and tips for the area. This should be the only place you stay in New Orleans if you are using an AirBnB! A market is about two blocks away and you could grab some groceries to make in the full kitchen. Nice private courtyard. I can't think of any way to make this place better for stop in New Orleans. Central to everything. Easy to navigate from home base. Friendly host. Great near by restaurants and music venues. Just do it! This place & Matt are top notch and true gem in New Orleans for AirBnB folks.

    Jonathan2016-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • The studio was exactly like the pics. Private and off to the side of the house. Quiet neighbor but within walking distance to restaurants and supermarket. Katherine and Michael both communicated well and kept us informed . Would stay here again next time I'm in NOLA

    Destiny2017-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • COMMUNICATION: Matt was an excellent host! He was easy to communicate with, and responded quickly to our texts. RENTAL: It's a super-cute studio on the main floor of their beautiful house, situated in a quiet residential neighborhood. We felt very safe and comfortable. Also, the studio feels much larger in real life. HOSPITALITY: WOW! Would give Matt and Fam. 10 Stars if I could:) The studio was stalked with local treats which was a fun touch:) Also, there were other touches such as Kuereg Coffee, clean towels, shampoo, and shower gels. Also, the weekend of our stay, Matt was having a big King Cake bash, and he graciously extended an invite to us, which was really cool:) LOCATION: The rental was approximately a 7-10 minute Uber ride from everything we wanted to see in the city. Overall, we had an excellent experience! Would definitely recommend to anyone planning a stay in New Orleans.

    Nacole2018-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Matt was an incredible host! The studio is in a perfect location and he has great suggestions for restaurant, bars and running trails! The studio was clean well equipped and extremely cozy. I had to work from the studio a few days and the internet connection was perfect! Highly recommended for anyone that is looking for a little space in a cool area!

Located on the residential side of Bourbon St. you will enjoy the quietness at night and sleep like a baby and few steps all the action of Bourbon and the Marigny area. This mansion was built in the 1830s n was recently converted into Luxury condos. STR Licence #: 17STR-09001
The living room has one queen sofa bed for two people, located in front of the charming courtyard, large balcony on the second floor, master bedroom with private bathroom, second bedroom with a set of bunk beds and daybed to sleep four people, kitchen, dining room, additional bathroom on the first floor, TV.
  • This place is a nice, clean, comfortable place to escape the scam, sin, and filth of the Bourbon St. Awesome host. Good location.

    Christian2018-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay for the money. The things that I listed did not detract from the experience.

    Carol2016-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • What a charming and perfect place for our first trip to NOLA! The location was near everything but in a lovely quiet space to unwind after the fun. Dee Dee was most responsive and really cared about our total experience.

    Nancy2016-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great! It was right on Bourbon street, just inside the residential district -- so close enough to all the fun but in a safe, tucked away place. It was beautiful, as described. Our host was very attentive on the phone and through the app. We had the pleasure of meeting her the second day, and she is so sweet!

    Mary2016-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing condo tucked in a quiet part of Bourbon St. It is centrally located, and you can walk to every single place you could ever imagine. The hosts are incredibly accommodating. The condo itself has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. My party of 6 had no problems with the amount of space and the accommodations were perfect. It was immaculate when we arrived. There is a 24-hour convenience store a block away. You can walk all of the French Quarter from this location. I cannot imagine wanting to stay anywhere else (or with anyone else for that matter) after spending a weekend in this condo. I want to personally thank DeeDee for helping us with a late checkout on Sunday. Stay here! You won't regret it.

    Kevin2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay here for a bachelorette party of 6 ladies. It is in a quieter side of bourbon. Very close walk to French Quarter and Frenchman Street and a mini mart one block away for snacks/drinks. Courtyard was larger than it looks in the photos- very nice addition. The place is priced accordingly for such a great location. Diana was very responsive and nice and even provided us a place to store our bags after we checked out. She had champagne waiting for us and some snacks. The house is a very old beautiful classic New Orleans home so don’t expect everything to be brand new and perfect. Area felt safe to walk around in even at night. This neighborhood is my favorite in NOLA for its local flair and artsy scene. The house was appropriately priced and comfortable for 6 but I wouldn’t recommend more than that.

    Cassie2018-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot for a visit to N.O.!

    Casey2017-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • DeeDee was super helpful! Very available, very quick, and so friendly. The condo was delightful -- everything was as expected, very clean and comfortable. Also, the location is really ideal -- in a beautiful quiet neighborhood, but walkable to shops and restaurants or to Bourbon St. if that's your pace. Would definitely come back!

The Mazant is a plantation-style home dating back to the early 1880s, located in the heart of New Orleans' Bywater arts district - and about 1-1/2 miles from the French Quarter (30 minutes walking or 8 minutes by Uber). We are close to Bacchanal, The Joint, The Country Club, Elizabeth's, and Satsuma Cafe. It's perfect for family reunions, wedding parties, company off-sites, and other large groups.
UPDATE SUMMER 2018: This summer we are making some additional updates to the house, including adding one additional queen bed (upstairs), remodeling three bathrooms, adding a new half bathroom downstairs, and doubling the size of the kitchen. New floor plans are already available online and photos will be updated by the end of September. ----- We have been working to renovate the house over the past several years, seeking to preserve historic details including 13' ceilings with plaster medallions, heart pine wood floors, cypress doors, and a 125-year old oak tree. At the same time, we updated the layout to more comfortably accommodate large groups: * 18-person dining room table * Oversized living room with 70-inch television, surround sound system, and Baldwin upright piano * Private yard (1/3 acre) with fire pit, six-burner propane BBQ, outdoor table, and hammocks * Super-fast WiFi (the top tier that Cox offers) * Front porch (gallery) with historic gas lamps and outdoor seating * Off-street parking for two cars and ample street parking for overflow The house has eight bedrooms with layout as follows: Downstairs - Bedroom 1: one queen bed (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 2: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower) Upstairs - Bedroom 3: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower/tub combo) - Bedroom 4: one double bed - Bedroom 5: one twin bunkbed - Bedroom 6: one king bed - Bedroom 7: two queen beds (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 8: one king bed There is another shared bathroom upstairs (near the laundry room) with a clawfoot tub-shower combination. Unfortunately, the caretaker's cottage is no longer available for rent.
Just down river (east) from the French Quarter - stretching from Press Street to the Industrial Canal - is the Bywater, where the mood and pace shift as you enter into the heart of an edgier yet still welcoming neighborhood. The St. Claude Arts District, centered around St. Claude Avenue, is home to more than thirty locations exhibiting visual and performance art, along with an array of artisan crafts. Down Piety Street, the fun continues with restaurants, thrift stores and more galleries. Even the homes, cafes and restaurants seem to capture Bywater's eclectic appreciation for the arts. Spend the afternoon at Crescent Park for some impressive views of downtown New Orleans and the Mississippi River. Afterward, you can thrift your way through the neighborhood before stopping in at an exhibition and finally making your way to dinner. The area's restaurants are among the most innovative in the city and are great places to sit with a cocktail and chat with locals. Above all, the Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods illustrate the relationship between the New Orleans arts scene and local life. So whether you're looking for the New Orleans of old, or if you want see where New Orleans culture is headed for the future, the Faubourg Marigny and Bywater will offer you glimpses in either direction.
  • Loved it!!

  • If you're smart enough to have booked here - count your lucky stars... The Mazant is incredible. Period. From Jeff's communication - all the way through the process of booking until our stay - to meeting Kevin and the welcome and southern hospitality we received and all the personal touches - we couldn't have asked for better hosts. The house itself looks even more magical in real life. Completely faultless and ever little detail thought of... My only issue is I couldn't stay longer. I will, no doubt -be back.

    Louise2018-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic house located in a unique neighborhood. Out of the french Quarter and a few blocks from the Marigny, Jeff's home was just what we were looking for. Bacchanal wine and the Joint BBQ are a must. Thank you for accommodating our families.

  • What an amazing property . I had an industry convention and housed a large group. It was awesome local experience . We did a crawfish boil and welcomed some friends . Unbelievable property

    Lee2018-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • This house is amazing! Best airbnb experience I've had. We had a group of 20 and rented out the cottage in addition to the house. The house is roomy, clean, and very well decorated. The hosts are quick to respond to any questions or requests and were very helpful during our stay. We loved every minute of our stay at The Mazant. And the Bywater is a great neighborhood to explore if you haven't spent time in this part of Nola.

  • Jeff was an amazing host and this house is incredible! We hosted a bachelorette party there and it could not have been more flawless.

  • Best place I’ve stayed at on AirBNB (or anywhere for that matter!) there were little thoughtful touches and details at every turn! Amazing hospitality.

    Aileen2018-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolutely great location! You can walk to everything within ten minutes The apartment is very spacious. We enjoyed our time there

    Lauren2018-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in New Orleans. Our first impression of our AirBnB was that it was much larger than the pictures would have you believe. We had 5 people in the place and we never felt like we were living on top of one another. Everything was very clean with plenty of towels for everyone. Washer/dryer was a great plus and kitchen was really nice. Location couldn't be better, less than a 10 min walk to Bourban street and close to a lot of great brunch places. My only one negative was that we saw a cockroach in the inside hallway on the stairs to our unit but honestly they're everywhere in NOLA so it just comes with the territory. Never saw one in the unit thankfully. Keyless entry with door codes is also very convenient and a big plus. I highly recommend this place!

    Neil2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very beautiful and clean. Not as close to the French quarter as I would prefer.

    Liz2017-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lot's of space. Can easily walk to Bourbon St. Great spot centrally located.

    Tracy2018-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment had everything we needed and more! It slept 6 comfortably and had plenty of space for our group. Very close to local attractions. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to New Orleans with a large group!

    Katie2017-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous place! Very spacious. Nice towels. All toiletries provided. Well-stocked kitchen in terms of dishes, glassware, silverware. Entrance is on a quieter one-way street which is nice. There is also a great little balcony off one of the bedrooms. Overall beautiful place.

    Sarah2016-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The condo is beautiful and was perfect for our girls get away. There were 6 women in our party. It was spacious enough for everyone to designate “their” spot. The set up allowed the early birds space to chill and chat without disturbing the late risers. There were two bathrooms, adequate sleeping options. Just perfect!! It was very clean and well stocked if we wanted to cook, but who cooks in NOLA?!?!?!?? The location is perfect too. You’re in walking distance to Bourbon Street/ French Quarter/ St. Charles / the streetcar, but you’re tucked just far enough away to get a good night sleep! There were a few minor hiccups, but Brad was on top of things. He was very attentive and requested we text him if we have any additional issues. He followed back up to make sure the issue had been resolved. Just great customer service. The maintenance guy was very quick, efficient and personable. The only thing I would suggest is they supply two sets of towels per guest at initial check in. Women use a lot of towels, and we needed to wash the first day of our trip. All of us loved the location, the entire feel of the condo. We would definitely stay there again!

*Please read description fully; this room is NOT 100% PRIVATE, it shares a door with the tenant of the home* Loft bed sleeping situated in a shotgun style room in a shared BNB. Located on historic "Esplanade Ridge" with Free Bikes and Full Kitchen
THE HOUSE OF SWEET DREAMS Hi, and welcome! I'm Andrew, Glad you found my listing! Here is a list of all the useful info about my house: **Pricing Fluctuates During Seasons/Holidays $35 is base price** (Website hidden by Airbnb) ***This is NOT a 100% PRIVATE room.*** ***This house is in typical New Orleans style; a "shotgun house" where some rooms share a door and walk through path to other parts of the home. This means you will have tenants of this house walking through the room during your stay. "Le Peach Parlor" is decorated as an environment for you to feel welcome and at home with a loft bed and small sitting area.In the bedroom, you can control your own heating / cooling. This listing is for a full sized loft bed with staircase, in the "living room" (a space used in this shotgun style home to commute between rooms). You have privacy curtains in the loft for sleeping late and being more comfortable. There is plenty of storage space in the loft for your belongings. ***Alex and 7 year old Daughter Vivian are the permanent tenants here. They live in the front of the home and with whom you share their home, including bathroom and kitchen as well as the other bnb room we have. When you book with us, you are agreeing to share your space with them :) I am totally flexible and available to accommodate any check-in or check-out times. However, for regularity sake I suggest: Check in after 3pm Check out before 11am Also note that you're welcome to check in anytime after 3pm but Alex sometimes works late and we can't guarantee the room will be clean until 5:30pm, but please come and make yourself at home :) take out the bikes, or lounge around, (if you're going to take a nap and/or you've checked in before the room has been cleaned, please message us to indicate when we can clean) thanks again and see you soon!
The house is in the Historic "Esplanade Ridge" Close to the "French Quarter/Bourbon St." Downtown and the Historic Marigny Neighborhood/ Frenchman Street. A quiet and safe neighborhood where we know all of our neighbors and everyone looks out for one another, with families and young entrepreneurs dotting the area with eclectic bars, eateries and shops. The house is just a few blocks away from the fairgrounds, coffee shops, several good restaurant, and a small grocery store. A couple more blocks and you are near The New Orleans Museum of Art and City Park! The Superdome is a 10 minute bike ride away and only 1 mile to the French Quarter down beautiful Esplanade Ave. Commonly sought after attractions within 2 miles of the house are: Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, Superdome, French Quarter, Louis Armstrong Park, City Park, DBA, Cafe du Monde, French Market, Spotted Cat, Cafe Negril, Blue Nile, The Maison, Apple Barrel, Coop's Place, Mardi Gras Zone, Mimi's in the Marigny, All Ways Lounge, and the Bywater, Marigny, 7th Ward, and Treme neighborhoods.
  • The stay was great. The room was really unique. The only problem we had was that it was hot. The air conditioner wasn't run through out the house, but there is a window unit in the room. It cools the room down really well, but since it's a loft bed you can't feel much of the air up there. Amanda was sweet and kept to herself, though she does need to walk through the room to get to the kitchen and bathroom. The booklet of places to go was great. We went to 4 of the places and really enjoyed ourselves at them all. Overall- good trip and good stay.

    Jessie2015-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great however, it was not what I expected based on the posting. The tenant that lives there is very nice, but also has direct access to your room and actually needs it to access the rest of the house. It wasn't what I was expecting.

    Jakki2018-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in New Orleans and enjoyed our stay in the Gold Room. It was just as described and we felt very comfortable there. One of the things that made our stay so fun was the great listing of places to visit they leave for each of their guests. We started each day at a wonderful breakfast place. Mitch loved the shrimp omelets and fantastic muffins. When our flight into New orleans was canceled due to weather Andrew was very helpful in trying to rearrange our trip.

    Sally2014-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • It was my first trip with rbnb and it was great! I had many questions to Andrew and he answered all of them!!... :) The room was clean and the free bikes were great! You can reach all places by bike and see a lot from the neighborhood and the city. We wanted to stay for some more days in New Orleans and Andrew arranged a new room for us and so we met him in person. He was very friendly and dedicated! All in all it was a nice trip and a great experience!!

    Christoph2014-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic place to stay. Andrew was very easy to work with and helped us out of a last minute bind. The bed was comfortable, the neighborhood was fantastic - we got lots of waves and hellos from the neighbors when we would walk around during the day time. I would recommend this place to my closest friends.

    Kalvin2014-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Good, perfect location

    Wilfrid2016-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in the Gold room was great! Even though we never met Andrew and Coco, there set up of the room and their extremely helpful 'welcome booklet' was really great. The room and the rest of the place was very clean and tidy and very welcoming. The area is a beautiful and unique one too. We really enjoyed cycling to and fro the French quarter and other areas.

    Emma2013-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • The location was great! Local coffee shop two blocks over with amazing breakfast and coffee. You'll be happy if vegan, vegetarian or meat eater. The bikes were nice bonus! If you rent a car there's plenty of street parking.Could use little lovin with cleaning but great value for what you pay. Andrew responded quickly when I had a question. Love NOLA and will come back again soon ❤️

Just a few more blocks down is the famous diner Camellia Grill and the streetcar can take you directly Downtown/French Quarter and the shopping on Magazine street.
  • Everything was great, clean and quiet. Very private with easy parking in a nice neighborhood. Wonderful!

    Karl2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Claire was accomdating and welcoming. The location was perfect for touring uptown and driving downtown to the French Quarter, streetcar was also in walking distance which was terrific. the bed was comfortable and for a basement apt was big enough for two people. THe full kitchen had all amenities to cook also, wine opener included! :)

    Linda2016-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • The cutest little place!!! Definitely worth the stay. Perfect for little quick trips to NOLA!!

    Kinleigh2018-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and quiet neighborhood, very convenient to public transportation to downtown - comfortable bed, great kitchen setup - quite a few special touches that made my stay especially gratifying. Would definitely stay with Claire again!

    Andrew2018-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect, private space to get away to explore NOLA. The location is off the beaten path, thus quiet, but a mere block from the streetcar line, allowing quick transport to any tourist destination or university campus! Check-in/check-out was seamless, and the place was cute and tidy.

    Erin2017-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable place with just the right amount of space. Quick response time. We would definitely stay again!

    Ashley2017-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Claire’s! Easy check-in, great location! Cute place!

    Krista2018-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great! It was clean and surprisingly spacious given that it was a studio. We didn't spend much time there since we were exploring New Orleans, but we never had to travel more than 15 or 20 minutes to get where we wanted to go. It's also close to Audobon park, which we walked around at least once a day!

THE HOUSE OF SWEET DREAMS Hi, and welcome! I'm Andrew, glad you found my listing! • This stay was good. The room is not as luxurious as the pictures make it seem. The decor is broken and the lightbulbs in the ceiling fan still haven't been replaced (as I saw this was said by previous guests). The bed is very comfortable. The air conditioning is nice. We brought our own towels based off other reviews. Definitely still recommend guests bring their own. The washer and dryer are NOT allowed to be used by guests, contrary to what the listing says. The doors in the place are a bit loud and creaky but that's southern architecture for ya. The accessibility of the house is wonderful. It was nice to be able to check in as we needed. The bikes were a great feature. We used them everyday. There are some cute stray cats that stay under the house. Enjoyed feeding them and petting them. Prob my favorite part of the stay lol.

    Michelle2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Cool residential neighborhood. A few local bars/eateries to check out nearby. You can walk along crescent park along the river to get to the French Quarter in about 30 minutes. The price of the bnb is a steal, don't expect extreme luxory. Felt comfortable, safe, and convenient.

    Sarah2017-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This location was great for us and we loved having access to the bikes

    Evan2018-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay while in New Orleans. Very neat and clean. Was just like the description stated. Did not get a chance to meet the hosts, but the room was set up and ready when I arrived. Very easy check-in and out. Would stay there again when traveling back to New Orleans!

    Billy2014-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great house, very comfy bed and bikes were awesome. Super friendly vibe in a fantastic city! Thanks Andrew!

    Kyle And Lucinda2016-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew's place was amazing! We loved the Marie Antoinette room. The location was convenient, colorful and hip. We especially appreciated the 'zine, which we used for restaurants and entertainment. Our only regret was that we didn't get to meet Andrew, who was an accommodating and flexible host!

    Victoria2014-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • I planned to stay here for my first night in New Orleans but unfortunately after arriving, I decided that this neighborhood was not safe, especially for a young female. The uber driver who drove me there told me this area was dangerous and to not walk alone, especially at night. This was also ~15 minutes away from he French quarter and there were not any food/markets nearby. I did not get to meet the owner but this is a shared location and you get the key unlocking a lock outside using a combination that the hosts provides in the air b n b house manual. So when I arrived I looked around, saw other luggage in the living room area , as this was a shared air b n b space and immediately left. As I was leaving, I received cat calls from people on the street. The pictures on the site looked better than in person. I decided to rent a hotel in French quarter in the Hyatt. I would not recommend staying here.

    Anita2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time going out in New Orleans but we were always excited to come home to our beautiful room. The bed was spacious and everything was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was awesome. We never felt unsafe, even when walking home late from restaurants/bars. Andrew is a great host, though we only had a brief run-in. Highly recommended!

  • Absolutely stunning! Exactly like the photos, if not better. So much character. The location couldn’t have been more perfect. Steps from bourbon street, but far enough so that the noise wasn’t a bother. Just perfect!

    Ashley2018-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous place! My friend and I had a great time and I would absolutely stay here again. It's a very stylish, comfortable apartment in the center of the French Quarter within walking distance to everything. The beds were excellent and the patio was a great spot for a glass of wine in the evening. A couple of notes to keep expectations in line - mind you, none of these things bothered us, but I'm just saying... The apartment is at the corner of Bourbon and Dumaine. We all know Bourbon St, right? Don't expect it to be too quiet at night. This is an old, probably historic building. The floors are very old and look like the original wood. While refinished, we did catch ourselves on a nail and got a sliver or two. Best to wear shoes inside.... The shower is TINY. If you are a very large person, consider whether that will work for you...

    Nikia2018-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, great hospitality. Diane even brought us a pie for Thanksgiving! Would not hesitate to book again. A little loud at night due to proximity to Bourbon, but that is to be expected. Really enjoyed the balcony for people watching.

    Beth2017-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • The location and value are unbeatable! The host was friendly and very helpful also.

    Emma2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • I thoroughly LOVED this living space!!! I WISH i would have booked for my entire stay in NOLA!! It was in the perfect location off of Bourbon but we were still able to get an amazing nights sleep. Great communication, cleanliness (loved the bleach/cleaning smell), guest treats/drinks upon arrival!!! I will check here FIRST before anywhere else when staying in NOLA!!! Thank you for the short but amazing stay!!!

    Keaira2018-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so beautiful with the architecture and decor! It was very authentic and modern and right in the middle of the French quarter. The host was super accommodating and very helpful. You definitely have to stay here.

Why rent a room when you can rent a tiny house for your trip to New Orleans. This 650 sq ft home is just steps away from the French Quarter. Everything from Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, streetcar, bikeshare, and the Central Business District are all just a short stroll away. Private entrance through luscious garden. Perfect for a couple or a couple of friends. Cleaning free is included in nightly rate so there are no extra hidden fees with this listing. (City License: 18STR-15360)
Our guesthouse is located in the rear of our property. Estimated to have been built in 1837 (the same date as the main house), this space has gone through a total transformation. A mix of modern and old New Orleans bundled into a small house. There are 8 sets of French doors, and 4 sets of casement windows, allowing for the space to be drenched in natural light. When the weather is nice and a cool breeze is blowing, there is nothing better than opening all the doors and windows so you can take in all the sounds the neighborhood has to offer. Downstairs is an open living room and kitchen area with a complete 4 piece kitchen suite (full sized fridge stocked with bottled water and a Keurig with coffee), and a moveable island. There is also a flat screen TV with DVR, HBO (so you don't have to worry about missing Game of Thrones), Netflix and Amazon Prime. Netflix and Prime are already logged in for you to use. A spiral staircase leads you upstairs where there is a king sized bed, walk-in closet, a spacious bathroom, and 12 foot ceilings with exposed beams. Want to lounge outside? Hang out in the shared courtyard or if you prefer privacy there is a private patio behind the guesthouse. Parties over 2 persons will not be considered and will be turned away upon arrival. Parking is street parking which is unrestricted and free to all. Cleaning fee is included in the nightly rate so there is no extra hidden fees when staying with us. (City License: 18STR-15360)
The Treme is a wonderful and unique neighborhood unlike any other in the United States. St. Augustine Church is on the corner, which leads to many Jazz Funerals and Second Lines. The church also has an amazing Sunday Mass that is open to the public. As a younger nephew noted, "It's not really Sunday Mass, it's a concert!" Mardi Gras Indians regularly wander the neighborhood, as well as brass bands, musicians, and a pair of cowboys who are always walking their llamas, Shetland ponies, and goats. There is always something going on and the people in the neighborhood are friendly and talkative. You can learn just as much about New Orleans from the folks on the street in the Treme as you could with a tour guide charging you an arm and a leg to walk around the Quarter.
  • We had an amazing time at Brad and Bret's place. The apartment was even nicer then the photos show. Beautifully decorated and very modern. The location was great, easy walking distance to the French Quater, bars and restaurants. We also ate at some of Bret's restaurant suggestions including Eat (great for dinner and BYO), Camilla's Grill and Stanley's (more casual food for breakfast/lunch). We would definitely stay there again!

    Lauren2016-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Brad and Bret were great, and they were very hospitable. Before the trip, if I sent a message with questions, they got back to me very quickly. They gave us ideas on where to go and places to check out, shows and restaurants that you won't find in a guide book. Location was great, as it isnt in the middle of the noise, but easily walkable, or a cheap Uber trip. We were both very pleased and would absolutely return again.

    Michael2016-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • I have just had the pleasure of spending 3 weeks at Brad and Bret’s fabulous guesthouse in Treme. Brad and Bret are the kindest and most generous hosts you could possibly ask for – they were quick to provide great recommendations for restaurants and bars to watch the Saints game, and I felt that they were always available if I needed anything, but without being intrusive and ensuring that I had complete privacy during my stay. The photos do not do the guesthouse justice – it is absolutely perfect, and has everything you need for a short or extended stay. The guesthouse is located in a quiet street in Treme, just steps from the French Quarter and the new Rampart Street streetcar which runs to Canal Street, the Superdome and the St Claude and City Park streetcar lines. It is the ideal location if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter, whilst still being within walking distance of everything. I can’t wait to get back to New Orleans, and Brad and Bret’s guesthouse will be number 1 on my list when I plan my next trip.

  • 3 gals, 6 days in NOLA. Walked absolutely everywhere.. such a fabulous location.. tons of food, drink and music to be found on every block! Spent all day out seeing the city, eating, laughing, drinking.. came back for a nap in a quiet neighborhood.. then out for music till 2 or 3 in the morning.. felt extremely safe making our way home at all hours. The accommodations are exactly as described and photographed.. clean, functional, comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable and the pillows made for a fantastic nights sleep every single night.. Brad and Bret were available for all our questions and were fantastic hosts all around.. we were treated to a traditional King Cake taboot!

  • Brad is a fantastic host! The Treme Guesthouse was beautiful, very clean, and gave us an authentic feel for our first visit to New Orleans. Great location - walking distance to the French Quarter, not too far from MSY. Brad had great recommendations for things to do around the city, and was very responsive and generous to any of our needs or asks. Would definitely recommend, and would love to visit again!

  • Brad & Bret’s place is exactly as described and was perfect for our stay in New Orleans. Bret was very helpful with showing us the place and suggestions for food/drinks in the French Quarter. The space was clean, roomy and perfect for 2 people. WIFI and satellite TV worked well and extra blankets were great for the colder weather. Would definitely stay again.

  • If you are going to New Orleans and this property is available book Immediately! Don't risk missing this top accomodation. This was our favourite Air B stay in a while. Location is outstanding, easy to get in and out from the freeway, easy street park for the car. If leaving the car at home or not wanting to drive in the city you can walk from the house to the French quarter, Frenchman st and downtown with ease. If walking gets to much the rampart street car passes the corner every twenty minutes, linking with other street cars for easy access to the whole city. As for the accomodation you could not ask for better. It is secluded and quite, comfortable and stylish. Just as pictured with everything you will need for a fab break in his amazing city. Brad is a great host which just adds to the whole unique package!

  • We loved our stay at Brad and Bret's place! Brad was very quick to respond to our questions before we arrived. Bret was so helpful with checking in and tips about the neighborhood and city. We requested an extra mattress for our adult son, and they not only provided one, but another one when the first one wasn't working out. The house was even better than it looked in the pictures! They provide so many extra little touches like bathroom products, umbrellas, water bottles, coffee, and lots of extra pillows and towels. The neighborhood was a bit sketchy, but it was just a short walk to the French Quarter. The house is off of the street, so it's really quiet. They were able to keep our bags at the house after we checked out until we were ready to leave for the airport. We will definitely try to stay here again on our next visit!

Our newly renovated apartment is right in the middle of town, within walking distance of Magazine St. and just on the edge of the Garden District. Plus, it's just 3 blocks from the streetcar and St. Charles Ave.
Please be our guest in the newly renovated apartment situated at the back of our really old (1850s), charmingly-dilapidated house. It’s just a couple blocks from the parade route/street car/St. Charles, and only about a mile from the Superdome. They don’t call it Central City for nothing! Walk past the main house, down a winding brick pathway, and up the stairs to the private entrance. You enter into the kitchen, with concrete countertops, old wood floors, and plenty of sunlight pouring through the original wood windows with old bubbly glass. Fix yourself a drink and head up the spiral stairs to the bedroom. Just around the iron handrail is a full size bed, and plenty of reading material about the places you’ll want to see and the food you’ll want to eat while you’re here. Then venture out the bedroom door onto the balcony. Did I mention you’re on the third floor now? The view is excellent, the palm trees sway in the wind, and you can hear the marching bands as they pass down the parade route. I almost forgot the bathroom. Honestly, it’s not huge. But it’s everything you need, plus a claw foot tub. And cozy towels, and bubble bath, and . . . well, it’s a bathroom. And just in case you’re wondering, it also has a flat-screen tv, cable, internet, a microwave, a coffee maker, all the things you need in a kitchen, and probably some welcoming Abita beers in the fridge.
Central City is the Best! We're right in the middle of everything. . . and I don't mean right in the middle of the French Quarter, I mean in the middle of a less touristy, little bit quieter New Orleans. We're just on the edge of the Garden District, a short walk from Magazine St, and just 3 blocks form the streetcar line. Plus, we're only one block from the super hip, up and coming Oretha Castle Haley Blvd where you'll find the best coffee, the indiest movies, a few restaurants, the new Food and Beverage Museum, and a tatoo parlor in case you're in the market. So come check out my neighborhood, you'll love it like I do!
  • Jackson and Pearl were the perfect hosts: warm and welcoming. The flat was beautiful and comfortable at the same time. The location is central but quiet. I loved my stay immensely! I only hope that they will have me back, as I don't want to stay anywhere else when in NOLA. I miss you, Pearl!

    Kristin2016-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • There is nothing I can say that hasn't already been said. She's a phenomenal host and the home is beautiful and comfortable. She goes out of her way to share her love of her neighborhood and New Orleans. Very kind and very intelligent. Her husband, Pearl the dog, and Jackson are fun to be around and very laid back. I highly recommend the place and this family.

    Micky2015-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Apt was great. Location is excellent - lower garden district - a quick walk away from the mansions of the garden district and all the shops and restaurants on magazine st. Two miles from French quarter and bourbon st. The streetcar is a couple blocks away and takes you to those places. Cabs are also plentiful, particularly at night coming back home. Didn't talk to the owners much because there was no need. Everything was clean and stocked. The apartment is nicely kept and those stairs are less of a big deal than they seem (even after a few cocktails). I'd say the only drawback was that it was rather cold when I was there in February and the only source of heat seems to be a space heater in the bedroom. Otherwise it's a nice, safe area and the apartment is just as pictured.

    Meghan2014-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Jackson's place is such a sweet little home. It is just as described/pictured- good location, lovely space, very private/secluded. She was really prompt with responses, and we had no problems at all during our long weekend here.

    Elizabeth2015-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Jackson was a great host. When we got to the place, there was a stack of information that proved really useful, like a map of the local attractions, what to do, etc. She was very responsive, and not at all intrusive. The place itself was fantastic. Mind you, you have to not mind climbing stairs, but it was so charming. The first level is one story up, and is flooded with natural light. The front entrance overlooks her chicken coop, which was so cool. The bed is up this sturdy spiral staircase, and is just plain relaxing. There was a thunderstorm the second night we were there, and we watched it roll in from the balcony adjacent to the loft/bedroom. It was magical. I absolutely plan to stay here next time I am traveling through New Orleans. It is only a 5 minute walk from the streetcar, and a 10-15 minute walk from Magazine street. We were able to sight-see the garden district and not once did we take our truck until it was time to leave! Finally, I made sure to write a note in the traveler's log she leaves out. It was really cool to read about all the different people she had hosted.

    Danielle2016-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Jackson was a great host! Only met a couple of times but was very easy to communicate via phone and was very accommodating. The place was great, the pictures don't do it justice! Shower was a little short for the taller folks, but does just fine. We rented a car but that was probably unnecessary as the streetcar was so close and is so reasonable (3 bucks for a day pass). And the streetcar can take you to all the main NOLA attractions. Would recommend!

    Tom2016-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Charming and great place and great kind hosts! Very clean and cozy. Jackson left some beers in the fridge and croissants for us! We had a great afternoon chatting on the porch. We will stay there again on our next trip to the awesome city of N'awlins. ........................................

    Cris2013-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I spent a weekend at Jackson's place and had a wonderful time. The apartment space is beautiful and very comfortable. The upstairs bedroom is a particularly nice retreat and we spent a lot of time enjoying the balcony. The neighborhood was nice and quiet which we enjoyed coming back to after long days out. The apartment is an easy walk to the streetcar which is also convenient. We only met Jackson in passing (when one of the hens was loose!), but she was very responsive before the trip answering any questions I had. We'd definitely stay at Jackson's again the next time we're in New Orleans.

This lovely and historic cottage is located just steps from the French Quarter. Enjoy comfort and privacy in a classic New Orleans cottage. There are two bedrooms, and one bath. The cottage is cable and wifi equipped.
This is a true New Orleans cottage, charming and comfortable.
We are on a gorgeous street, very close to the French Quarter.
  • Katharine was an awesome host!!! We had the warmest welcome we ever had! She even brought us a bottle of wine and some home cooked meal for the evening after our long flight. The house is beautiful, just as the pictures. We had a wonderful time! I warmly recommend!

    Camille2016-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Katharine was great! She was definitely available if we needed her, but allowed us to come and go as we pleased. The location of the cottage was perfect. All of the places we wanted to visit were within walking distance or less than a 5 minute drive. Awesome time overall.

    Kelsey2016-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Katharine was a wonderful host -- she was at the house promptly for check-in and walked us through everything about the house. She also had a ton of menus of local restaurants and list of other places to try out. The house was as advertised and perfect for a group of four girls. The neighborhood was great too! A quick walk to a grocery store, coffee shop and a bunch of nice restaurants. Would recommend to friends or stay again.

  • What an excellent weekend. Our host Kathy took great care of us, and we will definitely be coming back.

  • The Cottage looks exactly like the pictures!! It was very cozy and makes you feel that yore at home. On top of that, it was very close to the French Quarter! Katharine was an amazing!!! She's very welcoming and eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible! When I visit New Orleans again, I will be looking to book with Katharine!!

    Jeannie2016-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The house is really great, exactly what you want out of a New Orlean home experience. The neighborhood is the best part, I truly loved my run down to city park and the oysters at half shell restaurant. Katherine was really kind and hospitable.

    Maryam2015-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Katharine was a perfect host. She was very accommodating and made herself available if we need anything. She genuinely seemed excited that we were going to be spending the weekend in New Orleans. I live close to New Orleans, so I am very familiar with the city. the cottage was in an excellent central location for those wanting to see several areas of the city. It was a short bike, cab, Uber or car ride from Esplanade Ave., Bayou St. John, City Park, Museum of Art, street car at Carrollton Ave., St. Louis Cemetery, the Fairgrounds, Frenchman Street, the French Quarter, St. Roch Market, etc., etc. As far as the cottage goes, it was extremely clean and well maintained. More importantly, it was well air conditioned. New Orleans is hot in the summary time, so a cold retreat is ideal. The cottage did not disappoint. Did I mentioned it was spacious? I've rented several properties in New Orleans and this has been my favorite so far. Don't pass it up!

    Philip2015-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute, comfortable, and clean place to stay. Super close to public transit and several places within walking distance as well. Check-in was quick and easy. Definitely recommend!

  • Maison Rouge is absolutely charming, we loved out stay there. We knew it was about a 15 minute walk to the French Quarter but to be honest we were so taken with the quaint, quirky Bywater that we spent almost half our time there and got to know lots of the locals who made us feel so welcome. There are some fabulous restaurants all within walking distance. It was nice to be away from all the tourists and get to feel what New Orleans is REALLY like. Ernie the housekeeper could not have been more helpful and was there in a flash if ever we needed anything. He was sitting on the curb waiting for to arrived and gave me a lovely welcome and helped to carry my luggage in, every day we got to park right outside our door. There were even flowers, wine and chocolates in the room.

    Susie2014-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Where do I begin? Let's start with the southern hospitality of Robert and Ernie. They greeted us with a bottle of Red, a bottle of white, and a huge Muffaletta. Ernie was the sweetest, always there each day for us, even did our laundry. Our canopy bed was divine, and I miss it dearly. Nothing quite beats a little party in the hot tub as well. The entire place was gorgeous, and gave us the feeling of a local. The Bywater stole my heart, charming little places to eat, coffee shops, and thrift stores, only down the street. Don't miss Markey's, The Country Club, Bon Castor, Bargan Center, Bacchanal Wine Bar, and Mariza, all within walking distance. Next time I visit, I'll prob just stay. Thanks Robert for the real New Orleans!! Chloe

  • Robert was a great host, and his housekeeper Ernie was wonderful. The house is exactly as advertised and is located on a quiet block within walking distance of a number of the neighborhood's restaurants and bars. Finding a parking spot on the block was never an issue. My wife and I hope to stay here again on our next NOLA trip.

  • I had a very enjoyable stay at Leslie's home. He was very welcoming and accommodating and clearly made an effort to make sure all the small details were thought of to ensure a comfortable stay. The neighborhood was also nice, it is an area that is starting to transform and attracting some interesting restaurants and shops. Just a short cab ride to the French Quarter.

    Zubin2015-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie was an incredible host, and was so full on information. We arrived late on a Thursday night but he made himself available to tell us all about the area and the history of the house. He supplies many amenities for his guests, and it was a great experience. The parking directly in front of the house was also a huge bonus.

    Macy2016-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • When we arrived it was pouring, Ernie met us outside with a big umbrella and a welcoming smile. The flat was just as described in the pictures and information provided by Robert, a true New Orleans home. Ernie explained everything about the flat to us and provided excellent care throughout our stay. We were able to enjoy coffee which was provided by our host relaxing in the lovely living room. The beds were very comfortable allowing us to sleep soundly at night, the shower was so spacious!! The location was perfect with restaurants in walking distance and also very close to everyplace we wanted to be. We met Robert and spent some time chatting with him, he is delightful and a wealth of information. We were so comfortable during our stay, we loved the accommodations and all the extra little touches, both decorative and culinary. Our stay in Robert's place was superb, it will be our new home in NOLA whenever we are there!! Thank you Robert and Ernie!

    Doreen2014-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie is a great host; friendly, hospitable and very knowledgeable about local history. The house is charming and Leslie goes above and beyond, providing fresh linen, restocking the fridge with drinks, offers laundry service etc. The neighbourhood (Bywater) is amazing. It's a fairly long walk to the main tourist sites (French Quarter etc.) but it quickly became our favourite spot in all of New Orleans. Laid back, friendly people, pretty houses and lots of great cafe's, bars and restaurants. Highly recommended.

    Michael2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lesley was a warm, friendly and thoughtful host. There were the little thoughtful touches of things in the house we might need; his excellent knowledge of what to see in New Orleans and an incredible family history to share . We will be recommending his place to friends.

This cute 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment truly feels like an oasis. Let it be your refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is located in Treme on Bayou Road, near the famed French Quarter. Perfect for Jazz Fest and other events. Book today!
Our apartment is located in a historic home. You'll appreciate the beauty of the original floors and finishes. The furnishings are both comfortable and functional, while honoring the style of the home. We can comfortably accommodate two people, although a third person could definitely sleep on the couch.
You'll love the neighborhood. Tremé is a culturally rich area, full of gorgeous architecture and a deep musical tradition. It's an easy walk to the French Quarter and famed Congo Square. Also nearby is St. Louis Cemetary #1, resting place of Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau.
  • Awesome host ! Very accommodating, and a beautiful space.

    Jessica2018-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time using AnB and it was awesome. If all are as accommodating as Trudelle and Brandon I'll probably never stay in another hotel!

    Mareco2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice apartment equipped with everything you need. Truedell is wonderful, so helpful and friendly. Go to Lil' Dizzy's!

    Chris2017-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Almost perfect!!! And I say "almost" because if I were to say absolutely perfect (which we really feel) no one would believe it! But seriously, we had a family emergency during our travels and Brandon and Truedelle were AMAZING in communicating with and accomadating our family. Truedelle made me feel like family just over the phone! The apartment itself is flawless. The photos do not do it justice! The buiding is this beautiful mansion, you walk in the grandest front door, up these gorgeous stairs and the apartment is on the right. Amazing EASY keyless entry and boom, you are in this breathtaking apartment, soaring ceilings with fixtures that I wish we could have taken home! They are different then the ones in photo, even more gorgeous! The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for yourself or small family. They accomadeted our service animal with no question as well. That totals myself, my fiance and our 7 month old daughter with a medium sized service animal. The apartment fit us all AND all of our "first time parents on first family vacation" wayyy over packed baggage! We had a miserable week long beach vacation beforehand with very unfortunate events, BUT after we checked in here with Truedelle, everything got a little better. We took amazing hot baths and totally relaxed while eating our delicious left overs from Truedelles recommended restaurant Dat Dog! We can not wait to come back and stay for longer. One night in that bed and those lotioney sheets was NOT enough! Stay here on your journey, trust us. We don't call anything perfect because we all know perfection doesnt exist but I can say we think its pretty close! Thanks to Brandon and Truedelle, cant wait to visit again! -The DiMicheles

  • We came to town for the Ironman with not much knowledge of what else to do while in New Orleans. We were easily accommodated with flexible check in and check out times. Upon arrival, Brandon gave us a tour of the place and gave us many suggestions on other things to see and do. We were a short walk from the French Quarter which allowed for a quite nights sleep, but was still a close enough walk to great restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing. The apartment was beautiful and cozy, with lots of great details. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town... Such a pleasant stay.

    Tasha2014-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • The apt was great, even better than the pics. The host was amazing. Brandon wasn't there but Angie met us and gave us the tour. They left champagne, homemade muffulettas, and cake in the fridge for us!

    Rebecca2015-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is perfect! Just the right amount of space for one person or a couple to relax, as well as get some work done; lovely furnishings with historic character; and super clean! Brandon's family made things easy: they offered resources, kept close, but we're never in the way. The whole house is breathtaking and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. I will absolutely stay here again.

Great, 2 large room suite with king bed, new jacuzzi (someone broke the jacuzzi part) bath and all the amenities you need. There's a mini fridge (for all your great local leftovers), microwave, coffee maker, tea pot, brita water and cable/wifi.
2 large private rooms (parlor and bedroom) and full bath in a great location, with cafe & coffee shops nearby. The bedroom has a king size bed and the parlor room has a twin bed, if you need more sleep areas. I also have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The space has your own private locked entrance and is just off my front porch, which is a great spot to have your morning coffee or tea. Easy off-street parking, too. I have 2 bikes (huffy’s) you can use at your own risk, but you need to let me know before I leave for work so I can get them out for you. You are responsible for damage or theft and I req a $10/bike use fee to cover maintenance, bc it req extra work to tend to bikes. There are neighborhood rentals, but I think they are 30-40/day. Also, if traveling w pet need to approve with me and there is a $20 fee for pets. If you are a solo guest or staying longer than 6 days I will give you a break on price!o
The marigny is the greatest neighborhood and this space is all yours--its your own oasis in the front of my house w own entry. Easy and close (usually just in front of house) street parking. You can walk to the French quarter, frenchmen st., or just enjoy all the marigny has to offer. I have cable, wi-fi, central ac & am willing to consider pets. Note: I have 2 dogs & 2 cats that are very friendly, but they stay in my living space. This is a great place to stay for an authentic new Orleans experience in one of usa's best neighborhoods (look it up, it's true).
  • My wife and I just spent our first weekend in NOLA, and this was our first airbnb experience. We were a bit hesitanat at first, having never done it, but I'm so glad we found Kerrie's place. She has done an amazing job setting up this private "oasis". The large kind bed is great, the bathroom is beautiful, and the side room with the couch and fridge is perfect if you have some drinks or want to sit around on a rainy NOLA day. Her welcoming letter and map of the surrounding neighborhood was a great touch too. It's very easy to walk to and around the French Quarter, or a 9-$10 cab ride if you're feeling lazy. So many great food options within just a few blocks. I'm just afraid my wife and I were spoiled on our first Airbnb trip! Thank you Kerrie!

    Alex2013-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Kerrie was great, the space is perfect , clean and in such a great area. Would stay again! Thanks Kerrie

    Madeline2014-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place to stay if the Marigny district is your destination. Frenchman street was a short walk from this lovely B and B. The accommodations were clean, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. Kerrie was the perfect host. She was always available yet not intrusive. She was very knowledgable about the area....places to eat and shop. I will stay with her again. This may be the only place I stay in the future when I visit New Orleans.

    Medea2014-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in the Marigny! It's nice and quiet but so close to the Quarter and to great bars (Mimi's) and yummy places to eat and hang out like the Orange Couch! We loved the fact it was dog-friendly. The beds were comfy, the place was cozy and clean and there was everything that we needed - extra blankets and a heater for the chilly night! Kerrie was very responsive and easy to arrange things with, and we had a great time.

    Tina2012-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Small house very well located close to the French Quarter in a Nice quiet neighborhood. A lot of useful information on thing to do and places to eat were provided in the house. Recommended.

    Benoit2015-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • What a great location to experience New Orleans. A very easy walk to Frenchman and not much further into the French Quarter. A nice quiet street to escape when ready for a break. Kerrie was an excellent host. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

  • Kerrie's house was conveniently located so that we could walk to Frenchman Street and the French Quarter easily. Street parking was easy and the neighborhood seemed very safe. The two rooms were perfect for my friend and I to share, and having a microwave and frig was appreciated. I would stay here again.

  • Mark’s place is in a fantastic location and is unbelievably beautiful. You won’t be disappointed and is an exceptionally great value. New Orleans is an old city with a range of quality when it comes to living situations, but this place is the perfect blend of clean facilities and modern amenities, mixed with the classic architecture that makes NOLA what it is. For two people it actually felt quite large.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Marks place which looks exactly as shown in the pictures. Super apartment in a fantastic location for visiting the French Quarter as well as other areas reached via streetcar. Truedell was very responsive to our messages and check-in/check- out was very easy. We had a few issues with the WiFi, which truedell managed to fix with a call the the internet providers. Would agree with other reviews in saying that the apartment does not have any cooking utensils or pots and pans so we would not recommend staying here if you plan to eat in during your stay. However absolutely suited us as we wanted to sample as much as possible of the culinary delights New Orleans had to offer! A lovely base for visiting the city!

  • Stylish,Spacious,Clean and good location. Walking distance to famous street, unique and safe neighborhood. Easy check in and check out. Good for couples Only some cons - WiFi doesn’t work well - no towel hanger in the bathroom - you will hear the neighbor in the morning But overall I highly recommended to stay here

  • This little place was full of character! Love all the decor and upgrades. We were here the Sunday night before Mardi Gras, and this was an easy walk over to Bourbon Street/the French quarter. Parking was a little rough, we got lucky and snagged a spot as someone was leaving. We were also told cars are frequently towed in this area so we were sure to park in the allowed areas. The neighborhood was a little rough, there are buildings in the area that definitely haven’t been renovated/maintained as well, but we didn’t feel threatened or unsafe at anytime. Overall a good trip!

    Ellen2018-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place was phenomenal, everything and more. They hosts went above and beyond! Within walking distance to everything in French Quarter. This place is absolutely beautiful inside, it's like walking into a scene from a movie. Very well put together. It was perfect for our romantic getaway.

    Stephanie2017-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights/5 days and loved every second of it. The neighbors are incredibly friendly, and Mark and Truedell were both very quick to respond to inquiries. This place has great charm and is beautifully updated. There aren't a ton of amenities in the kitchen, so I wouldn't stay here if you're hoping to cook most of your meals, but why would you want to when you're in NOLA and there are so many great places to eat! Would highly recommend any of Mark's places and will hope to stay at his place again next time we visit.

    Cody2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazing way to ring in my 30th birthday! Truedell was attentive, accommodating, and always readily available if we needed anything. The apartment was clean and beautiful. I wish the check in time was a bit earlier. Also, there were no pots or pans so if you want to cook you will have to ask Truedell and she will bring them to you. When you go to the door to check in, gaining access was a bit tricky. When you put in the code, you must click downwards on this black thing right by the numbers, and then pull the black box towards you and a key is within the box. That was not explained to us as clearly as it should have been so we had a bit of trouble getting into the apartment but Truedell was extremely helpful. Overall an amazing place and I would stay there again!

    Jasmine2017-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our host was wonderful & made sure our requests were met. This is a gorgeous home in a great location. The only downside was the neighbors were noisy (but it is NOLA). We have stayed in several Airbnb and this is by far my favorite. I would definitely recommend this home. We will stay here again.

One of a kind house overlooking Bourbon St. and Orleans Ave. across from the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. This overlooks Bourbon Street in the exact center of the French Quarter.
This is an upstairs unit with a corner Bourbon Street balcony in the middle of one of the most iconic locations in the city.
This is a unique place and you will be living in the very center of the French Quarter. I love our neighborhood because of its uniqueness, diversity, and liveliness. It is so rich with history and recognizable around the world as " New Orleans". Whether it's 3 o'clock in afternoon or 3 o'clock in the morning, there is always something going on in the French Quarter.
  • Perfect condo right on bourbon. Great access to the French Quarter!

    Kelly2017-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • There is nothing bad to say about this place, it was very clean, in a FANTASTIC location, walkable to everything NOLA has to offer. Sitting on the balcony watching the people having a blast on Bourbon was priceless. My cousin and I rented it for 4 days and it was everything we hoped for.

  • Andres place is amazing! I've stayed in New Orleans multiple times and this is by far the best one yet. There were plenty of towels and the place was spotless. I was pleasantly surprised on how big the area actually was! The few issues I did encounter, Andres was more than accommodating and responded quickly! Definitely recommend this place!

    Payton2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here with 6 people and it was perfect, the location was right in the middle of the party. No more than a 10 minute walk to everything you need. Would definitely recommend.

    Nicole2017-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place was bigger then expected, myself and 5 others were not cramped and the the futon was super comfortable to pass out on at 4 am. You cannot get a better location to have a great time in the French Quarter. If you’re looking to be right in the middle of chaos this is your spot!

    Tom2018-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This stay was more than I expected!! The absolute BEST location for a fun trip in New Orleans. The balcony is perfect for people watching and soaking in all that Nola has to offer. Walking distance to everything! Communication with Andres was very easy and he gave us a courtesy call to let us know the place was ready for us. The apartment was very clean! Fresh bed sheets and and plenty of towels. The pictures don't do this place justice! I totally recommend staying here. Can't wait to visit again! Thanks Andres!

position, position, position. If that's what you want, this has it. You will be hard pressed to find anything this size and this close to the heartbeat of the musical, gastronomic and cultural delights of New Orleans at this price point. Just 3 blocks to the French Quarter, 1 block from Louis Armstrong Park and 2 blocks from Esplanade, you're smack dab in the middle of trendy Treme, while being an easy stroll or bike ride to the French Quarter, the Marigny or Frenchman St for a nightly musical smorgasbord. Seeking a single/couple of nonsmoking guests who can appreciate a clean and comfortable respite. On a property that houses 3 apartments, historic creole cottage, an attached studio is available for short stays. Newly renovated large studio space with hardwood floor throughout, furnished with leather sofa, desk and kitchen table. Studio has a Kuerig style coffee maker, small mini fringe and microwave. Nola's is not equipped for making meals - just a basic cup of coffee, keeping your drinks cold or reheating your leftovers. Large marble tiled bathroom with bath/shower, vanity and toilet. Small and cosy separate bedroom with double/full sleigh bed and clothes hanging space. Two private locked entrances with fly screen doors separate and independent of main building. AC/heat, controlled temperature. The backyard is shared and a tranquil retreat in the middle of a very central city location. A outdoor table is nestled for communal use in the back courtyard corner. free wifi access, shelf stereo. dvd screen (no TV) and selection of dvds One Night Minimum. Four night maximum. • Belinda was very welcoming and helpful after our arrival in New Orleans. She recommended great restaurant's in the immediate area, we ate at Coops Place on Decatur Street and it was phenomenal! She gave us a quick overview of safe places to walk and good sites to see. All of her suggestions were wonderful. We were able to walk 90 % of our time in NO and Belinda's location was a wonderful oasis to return to in the evenings after a long day out. We have already recommended her to our friends and would love to stay with her again in the future. :-)

    Kyle2012-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was beautiful and the fact that it was stocked with everything you might need or want impressed us to no end. Belinda is friendly and helpful. The location was right at the edge of the French Quarter, for an easy walking distance.

  • Fantastic place in a really interesting neighborhood! Hosts were really friendly and accommodating. Stay here without pause.

  • When you discover something great should you share it or keep it a secret? Nola's Studio is definitely something great; from the location to the immaculate accommodations and our wonderful host Belinda. What a delight! Just blocks from Bourbon St., yet quiet and safe with a beautiful courtyard and two charming canines. A good friend of 15 years (female) and I recently visited New Orleans. It was her first time in New Orleans and our first time staying at Nola’s Studio. Belinda is the owner and from the first moment we met her, we knew we had made the right choice in deciding to stay at Nola’s Studio. I corresponded with Belinda during the planning of our trip and was impressed with her from the start with her personality, professionalism, kindness, and eagerness to please. Having once lived in New Orleans for a time I knew venues to visit and explore but Belinda was helpful with recommending sites and sounds of New Orleans as well. The room we had was very spacious with a large queen size bed, ceiling fans, as well as a comfortable leather couch, which worked out perfectly for us. Additionally, it was brilliantly decorated as Belinda has superb taste and flare for contemporary art and attention to detail. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, Nola’s Studio boasts a great location; roughly a 10-minute walk from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. The property is fenced-in with a secure entrance as well as two friendly, yet dutiful guard dogs. This review is quite lengthy, but the bottom line is that everything was fantastic! Belinda is a superb, friendly, and kind host who is eager to make your lodging in New Orleans a memorable one. We lucked out when we made the decision to stay here. You should get lucky, too! Thanks again Belinda. Hope to see you again! Ernest & Dina

  • This was my first time using AirBnB. It was extremely easy and Whitney was a fantastic host. The apartment looked exactly like the pictures. Much nicer than a hotel and we were able to walk everywhere. This was a great experience and I have already told everyone to look this place up if they are plan to visit New Orleans.

    Kim2015-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • I found my NOLA home away from home! This sweet little place is perfect. It's clean, calm and located in the middle of a nice neighborhood. Just blocks from the quarter, walking distance to so many things. Whitney, Tom, & the sweetest dogs on the planet are great hosts. I know for sure that when we come back we will be calling on these lovely people.

    Karas2016-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed arriving to a lighted studio with soft music and it was the right temperature!

    Ann2016-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely amazing time at NOLA's studio. First, the location was fabulous, just a few blocks away from the french quarter, frenchman street and the street car. Second, the studio was great value for money -- it was pretty large, clean, comfortable, well-equipped and cozily furnished. The hosts were great too -- we didn't get to meet Whitney, but her husband Tom helped us settle in, gave us some good tips on exploring the neighborhood and had maps, taxi numbers, restaurant suggestions ready at hand. Overall one of my best air bnb experiences!

Please see calendar for daily rates! Some days are lower than others!
Built in the 1860's, "Little Orange" is half of a "shotgun"; thus, it boasts the hallmarks of traditional New Orleans architecture: 13 foot ceilings, cypress mantels, pocket doors, tall shuttered windows, and hardwood floors. The shutters are a vibrant orange to remind you of this city's Caribbean spirit. Bienvenue aux tropiques! The apartment is fully furnished and appointed, the space comprised of a living-room (with queen pull-out couch), equipped kitchen, one bedroom, and small bath. There's wifi, a large flat screen TV, burglar alarm, granite counters, stainless steel appliances, washer/dryer. And a great book collection too. The apartment is best suited for two people; however, it can sleep four when using the pull-out couch. As of Sept. 2016, there's a brand new Queen mattress in the bedroom: it's a Comfort Dreams Select-A Memory Foam (medium-firm) and very comfortable! Please know that when the couch is extended in the living-room, that common space radically shrinks. There's a $25 fee per adult guest #3 and #4. There is no additional fee for children. The front porch overlooks a full block of green space (Annunciation Square Park), home to many soccer and kickball games. There's a basketball court in the park as well (and so a basketball sits in the bedroom closet for you too). I spend more time on the porch than I do in the living-room. The porch also overlooks my small--but robust!--butterfly garden where a small fountain burbles. It's a great place to drink coffee in the morning and wine in the evening, and I hope the night-blooming jasmine is working its perfume when you're here! The apartment is an easy stroll to lower Magazine Street, known for its many boutiques, antique shops, bars, and eateries, as well as to the Warehouse District/CBD and French Quarter. Please check out my map/guidebook! I've mainly tagged places to which you can easily stroll, but I'm happy to offer suggestions for outings in farther flung areas of town. The house is not far from the Convention Center, Mardi Gras World/Productions, The Chicory (wedding venue) and Second Line Stages. If you are in town for a conference/event or working on a film, my location can't be beat. Likewise, if you're in town for a game, a cheap cab ride gets you to the Super dome quickly. This neighborhood has been dubbed one of New Orleans' hottest for obvious reasons. There really is a ton to see and do (and eat) right here. For those interested in getting out to explore other parts of the city/state, it's worth knowing that my location offers convenient access to I-10. No need to traverse all of uptown or the Quarter to find the interstate. The on-ramp is three blocks away, which means the West Bank is five minutes away, the airport, 20 without traffic. If you don't have a car, the bus runs along both Magazine and Tchoupitoulas. I bought this property for its convenience of location. Although the apartment is an easy distance to many hot spots, the neighborhood itself is quiet--another reason I bought this property. Your sleep will not be disturbed by traffic or street cheer. The Mississippi rolls by just two blocks away, so the hood has a sultry "edge of town" feel. I love this about it. Neither uptown nor downtown, it floats in between, spooned by the river(URL HIDDEN) Regretfully, pets are not allowed.
Lower Magazine Street is made for wandering. Just two blocks away, it offers an endless stream of boutiques, cafes, bars, coffee shops, and restaurants of all price ranges. Many guests choose to devote one full day to exploring Magazine. In terms of immediate surroundings, my neighbor is restoring a gorgeous, but run-down, New Orleans Greek-revival mansion. He is doing the work himself (!) with the help of family and friends (it is an impressive undertaking), so his construction work is intermittent. Often there are sizable breaks between bursts. For the most part, it is quite quiet, but construction work does flare up from time to time. As 99% of previous reviews attest, noise is not a regular feature of Little Orange life, yet all potential guests should indeed be aware of the potential for construction noise. Whenever my neighbor communicates his work schedule, I will pass this info along to potential as well as confirmed future guests.
  • Me and my friend had an excellent stay at Jessica's place. The apartment is very nicely decorated and had a lot of charm. It's situated in the garden district and it is easy to get to downtown and french quarter from there. I recommend renting bikes and cycling around the neighborhood so that you see as many beautiful New Orleans buildings as you can. We rented bikes from amusing bikes in Magazine street. Three cats kept visiting the porch of the house, which was nice. They were very cute. It's very easy to cook at Jessica's place because the kitchen is extremely well equipped. In a sum, we had a wonderful stay and I definitely recommend Jessica's place if you're going to New Orleans.

  • Favorite Airbnb experience thus far. House is gorgeous, quiet, close, and very comfortable. We slept well in the great bed, had everything we possibly needed to accommodate our routine, walked out the door to Magazine St., came home and hung out on the quiet porch. Jessica was very communicative and went out of her way to accommodate a check-in request of ours. We didn't want to leave. Essentially a flawless experience.

    Nathan2017-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • We have just returned home after our visit to New Orleans and a stay in Jessica's "Little Orange". It was a lovely little retreat just minutes away from Magazine Street with it's restaurants and unique shops. Thank you to Jessica for staying in touch right from our booking weeks ahead, just before our arrival in New Orleans and during our stay. it was apparent you wanted to help in any way if it was needed. Fortunately, our stay was flawless with no surprises. The house was just as presented on Airbnb. We loved the quiet street and the friendliness of those we met in the area. (including the porch cats!) "Little Orange" was fully equipped, very clean and comfortable with a lot of personality. It was just the right size for my husband and I. The city bus comes right by two doors away and the street car line is just a few blocks further. The Garden District neighbourhood walking tour, Lafayette Cemetery and the W.W.II Museum were only a short walk away which was ideal since we needed more walking to counterbalance all the great food we ate in NOLA! We can highly recommend this accommodation and host. Thanks Jessica.

    Carol2015-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • My Mom and I had a wonderful stay at Jessica's apartment. The decor was very stylish, the beds were comfortable (even the sofa bed!), and it was spotlessly cleaned. Jessica was in communication with us throughout our stay and she was so very helpful and kind. The neighborhood was quiet and it was very easy to get to the French Quarter by streetcar and with Uber which only cost about $10. We would happily stay at Jessica's apartment when we visit New Orleans again.

    Sarah2015-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had the pleasure of staying at little orange in June 2017. We found our stay to be exceptional, the location was perfect for us (a family of four). It was close to everything we were interested in seeing (either a short walk or uber). The neighborhood was quiet, with a large park across the street. Everyone we had the opportunity to meet or interact with in the neighborhood were extremely friendly and helpful with their locals perspective. Little orange was easily the best appointed airbnb we've had the opportunity to stay at. Jess seems to have thought of everything and we really appreciated that thoughtfulness and attention to detail. As others have mentioned, the bed is also extremely comfortable and was a welcome site after a long hot day of site seeing. Given the opportunity I would highly recommend Little Orange if you are planning a visit to New Orleans. I know we are already discussing when our next trip will be. This house will surely be on the top of our list to stay at when we return.

    Mack2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Little Orange is adorable and super comfortable. It was so nice to feel at home when away from our own home. The kitchen was stocked with things I didn't even think to get at the store. Everything was incredibly clean. The bed was very comfy. We even used the washer/dryer to run a quick load of towels. I enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the kickball games at night and with breakfast in the morning. We were able to walk to Magazine Street to enjoy local restaurants. It was also a very short ride to Bourbon street as well as convenient to Tulane. We were under threat of bad weather and Jessica kept us up to date at all times. I didn't even have to check myself. That was very much appreciated. I would definitely stay there again!

    Jill2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Little Orange is a comfy little house with shabby chic charm. Although the block is not the best, Magazine street is just around the corner and it is easy to go to the French quarter if you don't mind walking or hopping on a bus. There is a park/sports field across the street and we enjoyed watching the frisbee game. Jessica made things easy for my family, she has reviews of everything around.

    Eleonore2016-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica's rental was exactly as described. Communication and access to the apartment were easy. The street in which the unit is located is quiet, but so close to all the happening areas of the city. I would highly recommend staying at her rental. Thanks Jessica for a wonderful weekend.

  • Cutest corner spot in Tulane. The Purple House is a darling bungalow in this busy college neighborhood, it’s noisy in the morning and quiet in the evening. Ryan does a magnificent job with the yard gardens, keeping this cozy and safe place attractive and true to the NOLA vibe. Loved the old wood floors and doors. Both front and back patios served great comfort space to relax in. The kitchen had all amenities for cooking, and the family room is cozy and WIFI access simple with plenty of TV access too. Parking and entry to the Purple House was easy as well. We truly enjoyed our stay and recommend it for families and travelers with pets.

  • Brandon's apartment was beautiful and was just as shown in his pictures. We were made to feel very welcome and there was some bubbly and food for us when we arrived. The apartment was about 8 blocks to the French Quarter and was a comfortable walking distance for us (about 15-20 minutes). It was in a quiet district and although my wife felt a bit uneasy about the area we did not see or encounter any problems. We just decided to get a taxi back at night for peace of mind. The dogs next door were a bit noisy at night when we stayed but it did not stop us sleeping it was just a bit of a nuisance but we couldn't expect Brandon to do anything about that. So in summary we enjoyed Brandon's place and we would recommend it if you were visiting the French Quarter.

    Alan2015-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • This house is an absolute gem! The place is beautifully decorated and the homeowners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I cannot recommend it enough. The location to was easy to get to and the shower is absolutely amazing!! The worst part about staying here was having to leave!! Thank you again for making my first trip to New Orleans one of many :)

    Angela2015-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • The home was exactly as shown. The home is very lovely and extremely comfortable. Brandon was not available, but Angie connected with us upon arrival. They had a local treat waiting for us which was delicious. Brandon recommended us with activities and restaurants in the area. We enjoyed our stay in your lovely home it provided us with genuine flavor of New Orleans. We walked to the French Quarter daily, but opted to take a cab back because the area seemed a little unsafe at night. We did walk home one evening from Frenchman St without incident. Will definitely stay again on our next visit to New Orleans.

    Yvonnne2015-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We spent an amazing week in Brandon's condo. We have been warmly welcomed even if our flight arrived at midnight. The flat is really beautiful and charming. The private balcony is so pleasant. And the way the flat is decorated is really nice. Brandon's advises to prepare the trip were really helpful. For example, he took the time to find great places to spend the new year eve. I would advise to rent a car to be able to discover Nola area. Thanks again Brandon and looking forward to seeing you soon !

  • This apartment is gorgeous and is conveniently located to other parts of the city. We had a small snafu with one of the keys when we arrived but Brandon, even though out of town, arranged for us to get the key in less than an hour. I imagine this host would be able to quickly address any problem or concern you could possibly have. All was instantly forgiven as we bit into the muffuletta sandwiches, champaign, and doberge cake we were welcomed to the apartment with. I don't know if those sandwiches were homemade or what but it was the best muffuletta we had while we were in town. The bathroom in this place is crazy opulent and has a huge tub and one of the largest walk in showers I have ever seen or had the pleasure of running laps in (don't run in the shower kids) (Website hidden by Airbnb)

  • The apartment is truly stunning and full of carefully selected pieces of furniture. Great Air conditioning so it was very fresh even when I arrived. Great bath tube and shower -- it's just like in the pictures! The only thing that wasn't perfect was the wifi connection, which stopped at one point and so I had to use my private data, and there was no one to ask for help. I eventually fixed the issue with the help of the cleaning ladies who showed me where the modem was (we turned it on and off a couple of times and then it worked again, so that's the solution if it happens to you) -- however by that point, I had to leave. Great flexibility with check in (it was free already from around 11 am) and I could stay in the living room downstairs past check out time, which was helpful. No need to get keys or meet with them as they will text you codes to enter the place. Thanks a lot you both, I would come back (but please fix the wifi issue)!

  • Loved our stay. Great location. Ear plugs help..neighbor's dogs wake up early!

  • Wow! What a great place to stay. From the moment we pulled up I knew we had chosen the right place in New Orleans. Brandon's place had that old school New Orleans feel and a great updated interior. The shower alone is worth the stay! The entire place is beautiful and the bed is very comfy. Truedell was there to make sure we got acquainted with the house once we got there. Although she had to leave for the weekend, she left her her contact info in case we needed anything. The only thing to be aware of when booking. The house is right across the street from a school so there will be street noise in the morning. Other than that I wouldn't hesitate to book again!

  • Hospitality of New Orleans was an amazing host, and my guests & I had an amazing stay. Check-in/out was seamless, the complimentary mimosa supplies were a wonderful & welcome surprise & our host was very accommodating. Would definitely stay at again!

  • Perfect location! One block off Bourbon and your own balcany! No need to drive anywhere.

  • Perfect situation close to everything that is a must in New Orleans. The host was great and the communication with her was really easy and quick.

  • A fantastic stay! The room is lovely and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed, and having the balcony was so wonderful. The building is right in the middle of the French Quarter, and we were able to walk everywhere. It's a bit away from the "neon" section of Bourbon St, so we found it to be fairly quiet during our stay, though I'm sure the area may be noisier during busier tourist times. The only minor downside was the internet, which I couldn't get to work. My boyfriend did manage to connect on his tablet, but it didn't work on my phone or laptop.

    Holly2018-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great space for hanging out in the FQ. The room has all the touches and quirks of a historical residence. We spent lots of time hanging out on the balcony soaking in the scene on Dumaine

    Steven2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in NOLA, and the location of this place could not be any better. The room was much more than I expected, it was attractive in a unique way. It is in the center of everything without being right in the middle of the commotion. We we're able to walk to almost all locations desired, and if not, we we're just a very short uber ride away. Diana was not available to check us in, but she had Billy do so, who was lovely. Diana maintained contact and responded quickly anytime I wrote her, and that was much appreciated. We were not able to connect to the wifi, and we did have some issues with the doors to the room and the balcony, which became very frustrating, but on one occasion we we're able to find one of the workers that are renovating, and he was extremely kind in helping us. With saying that, I know the place is going under renovations, and even so, we would definitely stay a million times more. Again, thanks Diana! :)

  • Leonor was a great host and the space was overall great. It did smell a bit smoky but nothing too bad. It's still great value.

    Francesca2018-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Place is very small but enough. Like a tiny house. Kitchenette area had a one burner hot plate, microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge, tiny sink. It smelled of cigarettes which we weren’t too thrilled about. Place was spotless clean. Great place except for the smell. Tiny but it’s all we needed.

  • Great home to stay in. Was a few blocks from streetcars which went straight to the French Quarter. House was clean and well kept. Also very nice finding a pet friendly location which was great. Be aware that road is currently under repairs so you might have to park down the road. Ben's communication with us was great throughout our stay as well.

    David2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Ben's place. We loved how easy it was to get to the French Quarter using the streetcar, only a few blocks away. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The only drawback would be the thin walls. It was easy to hear the people next door, and I'm sure vice versa for them. I had to be very conscious of keeping my kids quiet since I didn't want to bother them. Although this wasn't a problem for us, be aware that this type of house is completely open- no doors on sleeping areas. It was fine for a family, but maybe not great for anyone needing privacy. All in all we loved our stay in a real neighborhood and would definitely book Ben's house next time we come to New Orleans.

The Esplanade bus is a couple of blocks away and can you to City Park and the Canal and St. Charles streetcars easy to walk to on Canal St for Mardi Gras.
You'll be sleeping in true comfort on quality mattresses with a queen bed. You won't be sleeping on an uncomfortable sofa bed, futon or air mattress. This unit also has a wonderful balcony.
You right in the middle of New Orleans' finest restaurants, nightclubs and jazz venues. There is ample street parking in front of the house and you'll be just steps away from St. Augustine Church and the Backstreet Cultural Museum. You can relax in style on the balcony overlooking the neighborhood and local landmarks. You will definitely feel like you are in the heart of New Orleans.
  • Amazing place, you can walk to everything in about 10-15 minutes. Incredibly well located, if you are worried about being safe dont worry the neighbours and people around are incredibly nice and welcoming. Loved the stay here and definitely planning on coming back!

  • This place has a classy New Orleans feel, comfortable beds, and a wonderful balcony. The place is a short walk to the French Quarter, yet distant enough to provide some peace and quiet. Would definitely recommend!

  • We were 4 college buddies for a weekend in The Big Easy. First of all, the apartment is lovely. There is plenty of space and the bedrooms are comfortable. However, it certainly is not centrally located. Although you are technically 1 block from the French Quarter, be prepared to HIKE if you want to make it to the main area. Check in was a bother as the check in person on the phone said in a huff when we had trouble finding the key box (there are 4 associated with the building) "It's going to take me 20 minutes to walk over there." Found it ourselves, thanks for not much, and we never saw a human connected with the apartment. I understand Air BNB is now a business, but expected more hospitality.

  • The apartment was absolutely perfect! We could not have asked for a better place to stay! It was just far enough to be away from the partying on Bourbon Street, but close enough to walk without any difficulties. Mark and Truedell were more than accommodating!

  • This is one of the best Airbnb's I've stayed in. The house is amazing, check in was simple and even though Matt was out of town, Truedell was beyond kind and helpful with the process. It's a block from the quarter so we were able to walk just about anywhere when looking for a restaurant or the nightlife. It was such an awesome space and would book it again for the next time I'm in the area!!!

Gorgeous third story 1 bedroom/ 1 bath condo with full kitchen/ living/ laundry. Exposed brick walls and antique pine wood flooring. Huge windows offers great city views. Walking distance to all the fun but far enough to ensure a good nights sleep :)
This is a one bedroom, one bath condo in the heart of the French Quarter. Beautiful windows over look one of the busiest streets in the french quarter. Only 3 blocks from bourbon, and two blocks from canal. Full kitchen and laundry in the condo. There is one queen bed, and one high quality air mattress with foundation that can be set up to accompany 2 more quests.
I am located on one of the more quiet streets in the quarter, however, I am very close to the action. I am two blocks from the Mighty Mississippi River, and two blocks from Bourbon Street. I am close to the Shoppes at Canal which includes many high end retailers, including Saks Fifth Ave. And a short walk away from The Aquarium of America.
  • Can't beat the location! On a great street in the French Quarter - quiet enough and close to the best sights and restaurants. The flat is clean, modern and bright. Very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

  • The spot was convenient to all the hotspots. Parking was easy and the house was clean and tidy. Bed was super comfortable. Neighborhood felt safe and everyone kept to themselves. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided in the shower was so appreciated! A microwave would have been super convenient! And the house is split with another apartment and the walls are thin - so it got quite noisy at times. This was a perfect little spot for us for our weeknd getaway!

    Lauren2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Treme. The house was bright and clean. It's an easy 15 minute walk to Frenchmen street. Parking in front of the house is free and there was no trouble getting a spot. The neigborhood was safe. It's a short drive to Whole Foods. You can cook at the house if you want. We even did laundry. Hairdryer, clean towels and toilet products are available. Bring a sleeping mask if you don't want to wake up by the sun. The curtains are white. Jan is very good with communicating. We didn't meet her but check in and out were smooth. If you want to stay in a New Orleans stay here!

  • Jo is a really great host! She is really responsive and helped us out with great NOLA recommendations. We really enjoyed the place too, it's newly renovated, really clean and really nicely decorated. The neighborhood is great too if you don't mind walking 10 min into the Quarter

    Anne2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Shannon & Jan's apartment was great, the perfect home base for our week in New Orleans. The apartment was beautiful and had just the right amenities to add to our stay (comfy couch, record player, pots & pans for meals in). Everything was very clean and they were very communicative to us about everything. The neighborhood is very convenient and such an easy Uber right anywhere. One direction out of the apartment draws beautiful houses and really nice walk along Esplanade, the other way is a a bit of a shadier area. As long as your visiting the sites and everything downtown, nothing to worry about. Everyone in the area was super friendly to us when out on the streets or neighboring areas. Definitely a great stay!

    Jeff2016-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay!! Everything in the home is as pictured in the listing. Short uber trip to French quarter or other popular areas. Very spacious, accommodating everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.

  • Ben's place is not only exactly as pictured, I would say it is better! We were pleasantly surprised as just how much space there was and how the home looked. There were four of us and we slept comfortably in the two rooms. There were plenty of towels and blankets for all of us. The place isn't too far from the French quarter - about a $6 uber ride but you could definitely walk if you wanted. We felt safe even though some locals told us to walk in groups etc. Overall it was a fantastic experience.

  • Ben was a great host! He greeted us as soon as we arrived and provided a helpful orientation of the house. We felt right at home and really enjoyed the place. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all basic amenities; we even threw together a quick Thanksgiving dinner there. The only thing we missed was having a table large enough for all 5 of us to eat at. The kitchen is really only large enough for about 3. But we enjoyed our stay immensely and the house is in a great location. Not a bad walk into the French Quarter. We would stay here again!

  • Fantastic place in a great location. Loved the balcony and the complimentary bottle of champagne was a nice touch. It was really easy checking in - I was even able to leave my bags there while I went shopping as I arrived early.

  • Great location! Nicely renovated space with balcony overlooking Bourbon Street. (FYI - the balcony is shared with the unit next door.) Diana was a wonderful host! We didn’t have a chance to meet her in person but she was very helpful and even called us to make sure we were happy with the place. Would definitely recommend!

  • My husband and I had a great time staying in the harem! Andrew was a great host- he was easy to reach via text or email, the zine he created provided us with plenty of entertaining things to do while we were in the city, and I appreciated the little details around the house (like the map when you first walk in!). The bikes were a great bonus, although some of them had definitely seen better days. I would highly recommend the House of Sweet Dreams to anyone who is looking for a different experience of NOLA than you'd get by staying at a mainstream hotel & at a great price!

  • Such a great room! The host really paid attention to the fine details of the theme he gave the room. The house felt cozy and safe. The top. Felt magical!

  • Slept like a rock, great place with kitchen and laundry. If you're not familiar with Bywater it's like the Echo Park of New Orleans. You will need those bikes if you want to get down to Frenchman or take a cab. The street was quiet which I appreciated abd ask the neighbors say hello. Didn't meet Andrew but he was a text away when I got confused about parking in town etc. He is right there if you need to contact him but not in your hair at all, which is really important to me. He has a zine that he put together in your room and it dictated most of my free time, very helpful. I would stay again.

  • The house was convenient and nice. The other guests were very polite and respectful, so Andrew must be making sure he is accepting good people. There was a simple snafu on arrival about the room being ready, but literally within minutes of notifying Andrew, it was fixed and they apologized. Very polite and attentive. I was able to meet Andrew and he was polite and helpful.
