  • The location was perfect! We loved being so close to everything. It was nice that the rental came with bikes so we could explore even more! Sarah responded quickly when we had a question and made sure we had everything we needed. I only wish it didn't rain most of the time so we could enjoy the beautiful patio!!

  • Photos in the listing are very accurate! The place was beautiful and clean. It's in a really cool part of town, there are a lot of awesome shops and restaurant near by. Overall we had an awesome time!

  • Second visit as great as our first. I can't say enough good things about the space, our hosts and the location. I HIGHLY recommend Sarah and Ben's place for your stay in Louisville. We certainly will be back.

  • This unit is in a great location in the heart of the Highlands area. Private parking, very cool restaurants, bars and nightlife within walking distance. Highly recommend this unit!

  • Sarah and Ben's place is perfectly located near great restaurants and night life. It's also very convenient for getting to downtown. The place is very clean and patio is wonderful.

    Daniela2017-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • I was really happy with this Airbnb. The space felt just right for two and the location was perfect. I went for a long walk the first day to scope out the neighborhood and there was plenty within walking distance, including food right down the stairs. Though the kitchen has no real stove or oven, all we really needed was hot water for tea and coffee which we got with the hot plate or provided coffee machine (it was nice to have the coffee and tea provided as well!). We were sad it was too cold and rainy to use the bikes but we'd like to come back sometime in the warmer months to take advantage of them!

    Mia2017-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved everything. From the ease of the check in, biking to park, walking to dinner/ bookstore, to the deck where we sat often with a cup of coffee looking at the stars. Our vehicle did not leave the parking space. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. Highly recommend!

    Heather2017-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for just a quick trip, but the place was clean and the bed was comfy. Parking is super easy and there are quite a few tasty places to eat within walking distance.

  • I enjoyed my stay at Rose's apartment. It was a full apartment to myself with living room and kitchen. I parked my car right outside the door and was able to take Lyft's into town for as little as $7 each way (I understand the bus is a few blocks away also). The apartment was clean and comfortable and a great value for my stay in Louisville. Rose is an excellent communicator.

    Andrew2018-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great for what we needed. More room than sufficient for a couple. The bed was very comfortable and short drives to downtown, which could have been easily walkable. If I ever stayed in Louisville again I would check this place first.

    Kevin2017-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Rose is the great host and her place is a very pretty and cozy place. The location is the center of Louisville you can easily go places!!

  • Em and Tim were awesome hosts. They were extremely fast at responding, which you don't always get on air bnb. They were warm, clean, friendly, and non intrusive. They let us do our own thing. Also, the loft was very comfortable and pottery barn picture perfect. Great location and great people. Kudos for the banana bread.

    Cassandra2014-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Em and Tim were great, helpful, and welcoming hosts who responded promptly to my needs and provided me with great recommendations. The loft is super cute and so well located in a fantastic neighborhood. Aside from an unforeseen winter-weather-related snafu, I really loved staying there and would look forward to doing so again.

    Sarah2015-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing!!! It couldn't have been more perfect for my daughter and I while visiting colleges in the area. My only regret was not staying longer:)

    Tammy2015-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot. Perfectly clean. huge shower with good water pressure. Great neighborhood with interesting people. Check in was perfectly simple with the keypad. Come and go as you please here. This couple did a fantastic job making the 3rd floor an awesome I'd strongly recommend this for a single travelers or a couple.

    Mark2015-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at The Harvest House, it was the cherry on top of a great first visit to Louisville! The loft area is beautifully furnished (super comfy bed, quality bath towels, and lots of lovely natural light). Some of the highlights of staying here were the keyless and private entry (Em has you pick your own code), the record player along with a great and various selection of albums, as well as the proximity to the super fun Bardstown district (if the weather had been warmer we could've easily walked there!). Em and Tim also left a suggestion card with some of their favorite restaurants which was super helpful in confirming which places we should definitely check out (we were really pleased with all of the great eateries Louisville has to offer!) The little sitting area was great for hanging-out in if we didn't feel like going out, but we realized that even though the futon could sleep two extra people, the bathroom is not private, so it may be better for a family of four rather than for two married couples or something. But Em and Tim are so sweet and were eager to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We're hoping to make it back to Louisville at some point and would definitely love to stay here again! For a romantic weekend getaway we highly recommend it!

    Sara2015-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Em & Tim's place was so adorable with all the finishing touches you could want and more. The location was perfect, just a ten minute walk to lots of great restaurants. We particularly enjoyed their backyard garden and chickens, and had a great conversation with Tim about urban ag. They are both very nice people, but give you plenty of privacy during your stay. Great place, great hosts all around.

    Mary2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • The space was just right for us two. Rustic charm with modern amenities. Clean. Great shower. Easy access, parking not a problem, in a walkable neighborhood to some nice food/drink. Good communication from Em & Tim, who had spot-on recommendations.

    Heidi2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great, cozy little loft. Everything was clean and comfortable. Em & Tim added different touches to make us feel welcome. They had great communication and were very helpful and suggested things to do around town which was very helpful for an out-of-towner. The private entrance worked out perfect and would definitely stay here again.

  • Great hosts who made it very easy for us - they went out of their way to accommodate us. The Pearl actually felt bigger than the photos made it appear. We loved our stay there. The only downside is that the bedroom is near the street, and even with good windows, some of the louder trucks/motorcycle sounds came through. Still, we would certainly stay here again.

    Ray2016-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Rik was friendly, and his home was amazing. A great location within walking distance to everything in Nulu. We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Louisville.

    Kevin2015-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it!!

    Roosevelt2018-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this beautiful home in a great location. We walked to distilleries, restaurants, breweries and museums. The hosts were very responsive and hospitable. Wished we could have stayed longer!

    Shari2018-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • The place is unexpectedly huge and furnished with lovely, but functional antique items. We visited in June and the new central air kept the place very comfortable. The location can be described as "in transition", but the offset is that it is perfectly located in an up and coming area and multiple restaurants and bars such as Decca, Rye, Royal Hot Chicken and Feast, are all only a few blocks away. Angel's Envy is only four blocks down Main. We loved the hospitality of Rik and Bev as well as the plentiful coffee and numerous breakfast items in the frig.

    Daniel2017-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place to call home during our weekend in Louisville. Parking was a breeze, communication and check-in was quick and easy, and we loved the location close to great restaurants. It was a great starting point for attractions throughout Louisville and surrounding areas due to the proximity to major roadways. Also loved the high ceilings, two fireplaces and luxurious bathroom making this one of the best places we have ever stayed. Thank you Bev and Rik for everything. We can't wait to return to Louisville and the Nulu Pearl Bed & Breakfast.

    Andrea2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • The NuLu Pearl is a beautiful space. The building was in the process of being remodeled, but the living space was finished and nice. The only quirk I noticed was that it doesn't have a tv. The pluses are that it's extremely peaceful, comfortable, and the two gas fireplaces really make for a nice atmosphere. The bathroom has an oversized shower and a separate spa tub. Overall I would recommend this place and think it would be perfect for a romantic getaway.

    kyle2014-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Pearl is just as lovely as picturedand looks even bigger in person. It's conveniently located, walking distance to downtown and all NuLu has to offer. A great find!

Located right in the heart of Louisville's most popular neighborhood and next door to the new Rabbit Hole Distillery. This gorgeous, 1100 square ft shotgun style house has been converted from a retail space. A short walk from nationally acclaimed farm to table restaurants, popular bars, local roast coffee shops, galleries and boutiques. You can also walk to several different bourbon distilleries and Slugger Field. Free city ZERO-emission buses and pay as you ride bike exchange stations can get you to slightly further major venues.
The Heart of NuLu is an 1100 square foot home in the traditional 'shotgun' style. This warm, exposed brick space is linear in design. The brick walls provide a cozy continuity to the individual living spaces. Enter into the living room. There is a small kitchenette in the middle of the space and a large, king size bed in the back of the building next to the bathroom. The bathroom features a tile and glass shower with a lovely stone floor. All amenities including furniture are brand new and have been selected with the traveler in mind. This open floor plan may not be ideal for groups that require privacy from each other. Note that due to the layout of the house the furnace vent or the HVAC is located above the bed. This causes air to flow across the sleeping area which may be uncomfortable or annoying for some. If you are a light or sensitive sleeper, you may be bothered by the white noise produced by the HVAC at night. Note that there is NO STOVE. The kitchenette area features a toaster oven and small refrigerator for drinks and snacks. There is a Kureg and a French Press for coffee and an electric kettle for hot water.
The NuLu neighborhood is chock full of amazing places to visit. The house has two large chalk boards in the kitchenette area detailing individual establishments that are absolutely worth a visit within 2 walking blocks in each direction. A long walk or a Uber or LIFT can get you to many other excellent destinations within 5 or 10 minutes.

    Emily2018-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Can't say enough good things about this house. Perfect location. Cute area with tons of shops and restaurants steps away. Kimberly was great and very responsive. I wish I could pick up this house and take it back to Chicago with me. Perfect save for my husband and I and it had everything we needed. Kuerig, K cups & creamer, plenty of towels, shampoo and conditioner, and a very comfy bed. We will be back.

  • The space was awesome! Clean, stylish, cool and unique. Easy to follow instructions to find the house and get in. The host wrote out instructions through the app and also had an easy to follow sheet in a binder, as well as local recommendations for the area. The area was lively and unique, tons of people walking with their families and pets. Right next to a delicious pizza place. Amenities were very nice, there was fresh water in the fridge and everything was laid out orderly. Really loved it here and would visit again!

Efficiency apartment with convenient location on quiet block. It's walking distance from hospital complex. The apartment has just been remodeled and updated. WiFi provided as as well as laundry room access and bicycles free to use for guests.
This apartment is modern style and decorations. There are some original elements kept but mostly everything is new. It's less than 300 sq ft and bathroom is really small with just enough space to turn around and store towels and toiletries. Queen size bed, rudimentary kitchen with 30 inch tall fridge, sink and counter top range.
The immediate neighborhood is not particularly attractive in my opinion but it's centraly located so it takes just a short walk to major attractions like Nulu, Highlands, Ohio riverfront or strict Downtown.
  • Greg was very responsive and the apartment was incredibly nice and well furnished. Could not ask for more. Highly recommended stay.

    Alex2016-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Clean, easy to check in and out of, and in a very convenient spot to stay in Louisville. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to visit!

    Jessie2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time staying at one of Greg's places. Like the previous time, it was everything I hoped for.

    Martin2016-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment is fine and stylish, it is truth that in my case I paid 120€/day in my opinion is too much for a room.

    Ako2016-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • The house was relocated in a great location to be central in easy/short drives to both downtown and the Highland. The host responded quickly and had everything listed in the posting available and ready for the stay.

    Aaron2016-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Greg's place is great. Extremely clean and convenient to everything in the city. Check in was a breeze as well -- will definitely be back!

    Rob2018-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Not a bad place to spend a night. The apartment itself is small and has relatively few amenities, but everything is clean and you have everything you need for a short stay. Location is good with only a short drive to downtown Louisville, street parking in the evening was not an issue and everything appeared safe. No trouble with check in or check out, Greg was slightly difficult to reach but this did not affect our stay. Would stay here again.

    Phil2017-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Greg’s during our quick trip through Louisville. We enjoyed walking to Against the Grain for some beer and light fare. I ran across the Big Four bridge in the AM - so fun and would definitely recommend. Close to the hospital and lots of parking.

Come stay in a beautifully renovated traditional shotgun with all the modern day convenience. With just a short walk to bars, restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and parks, the location is very ideal. I'm always looking forward to hosting great people--message me to see if we can work out a deal to fit your budget!
The home was built in 1890 but was remodeled very recently. The history of the home is still intact in unique ways, but all fixtures are modern and convenient.
Germantown is fantastic! Walkability to bars and restaurants was a very important thing to us when we bought this home. Location is great.
  • Sarah’s place was exactly what we were looking for. Cute, clean, easy space very close to all of the Louisville sites! Sarah included great bedroom and bathroom accommodations. We would recommend this place to anyone :)

  • Communication on the day of check-in to coordinate time of arrival and entry. Offered great recommendations for food and made me feel welcome. Also provided some enjoyable conversation.

  • I had a wonderful, restful night at Sarah's beautifully renovated home. Sarah was so helpful and friendly. We didn't see much of each other, as I arrived late at night, but we chatted over coffee in the AM. I am so excited to know I have a place to come back to in Louisville, as we often pass through that city in our travels. highly recommended! That bed was like sleeping on a cloud.

    Kelly2016-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The condo is clean and neat and located close to shopping and restaurants. We had a lot of Drs appointments to accomplish in 2 days and the major hospitals and doctor’s offices are all close as well. David responds very quickly to texts. Everything was as pictured. The price was great too!!

    Cindy2017-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed two nights in David's townhouse. The space and layout is updated well and overall clean. The two bathrooms were a nice addition for multiple people staying in the space. Parking, entry and neighborhood were all flawless. David was welcoming, kind and communicated well. We had a seemingly isolated pest problem, yet David was apologetic, responsive and assured it would be looked into almost immediately. Thank you for your hospitality, David.

    Jenn2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fine time staying at David's townhouse in Louisville. It was great having the whole place to ourselves, upstairs and down—clean and neat, and with very comfortable furnishings and beds, along with a large-screen TV. David was always available on the phone and online for questions we had. Any visitor to Louisville/St. Matthews will definitely enjoy David's hospitality.

    Peter2016-10-24T00:00:00Z

  • My parents and I came to Louisville for a wedding and truly enjoyed our stay. David answered all my questions and was very nice. Enjoy a large, bright bedroom and private bath. Guests have the whole second floor, and several have commented on how spacious the bedroom room is--approx 18 x 18 ft. Air-conditioned, queen bed. Located in close-in St. Matthews, a quiet tree-lined area with easy access to downtown, major tourist attractions and eateries.
Enjoy a bright and spacious air-conditioned second floor all to yourself, with a 18 x 18' room with queen bed and private full bath. The room has its own air cond. thermostat (guest may set temp). There is Wi-Fi and a TV with DVD player (local channels, but no cable). Coffee maker and tea kettle in the room. Tea and coffee provided (filters in drawer below coffee pot). Guests may use my kitchen to prepare breakfast or warm up a pizza. If you don't mind going down to a 1946 (unfinished) basement, you may also use the washer-dryer. There's an iron and board available. There are lots of towels, a small hair dryer and "generic" shampoo in the bathroom. Located in close-in St. Matthews, a quiet tree-lined area 5 easy miles from the heart of the city, a 2-block walk to the bus stop serving downtown. There are several restaurants, coffee shops, and pubs less than a mile away--on walkable sidewalk. Louisville offers many attractions--historic homes such as Locust Grove and Farmington; the Kentucky Derby, Louisville Slugger, Muhammad Ali, and Speed Art Museum; the KY Center for the Arts, and the new YUM! arena. The Big Four Bridge has recently opened as a pedestrian walkway to Indiana. There is a lovely ramp with super views of downtown and the Ohio River esp at sunset. The Shelbyville Road shopping area, boutique-lined Frankfort Avenue, the hip Bardstown Road and NULU districts are a short drive away. Guests often comment on how well situated the house is. Three hospitals are within 2 miles (Baptist East, Norton, and the VA). The Presbyterian and Baptist seminaries are nearby. No smoking. No pets, please. I'm an energetic semi-retired educator. I myself like to travel, so I'm participating in Airbnb in order to supplement my own travel budget. I'm a people-person so I look forward to welcoming visitors. I have had the privilege of hosting great guests from around the world.
Quiet, tree-lined streets. Nice neighbors. Easy access to downtown via city streets, also easy routes to expressways. Guests may park on street during day, but please pull into my driveway overnite.

  • This was my first airbnb experience and it truly could not have been better! The upstairs bed and bath was very private and I was able to come and go as I please. Harriette was an excellent host and recommended restaurants and things for me to do for the two weeks I was there.

    Autumn2015-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Harriette is a wonderful hostess. She made us feel right at home immediately. We only stayed for a night and only had a short time to get to know Harriette, but she is a delightful lady and I would definitely recommend staying with her. The house is lovely and in an adorable neighborhood. Next time I come back to Louisville, I would love to stay again!

It really was very relaxing and felt just a little luxurious. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. Harriette has lived in Louisville for a long time and is very knowledgeable of the area. I would definitely stay there again.

Louisville's first permanent Tiny House may be small in stature, but it is huge in value! The studio layout with easy to operate library, Murphy bed optimizes the 448 sq ft footprint, while not compromising comfort. *No locals, please*
It's tiny, coming in at just under 450 square feet. But, it has everything you need and then some! 48" LED flat screen TV with cable and Netflix, wireless Internet, washer and dryer, cook and serve ware. Everything you need to feel like you're at home, but better!
    Great sense of community!
  • This was a great place to stay while we were in Louisville! It was quick to get downtown when we needed to, checking in and out was simple, and it was fun to be able to stay in a house that had so much character.

  • Place was great! Have a nice time in Louisville.

    Bobby2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very, very clean space! I was really impressed by this. Great spot to land in Louisville and close driving distance to a lot (Louisville is really not too big or difficult to navigate). The only thing I wish I knew is that this house is not in a walkable nor quaint neighborhood, so we had to drive to everything.

    Andrea2018-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Derby City Tiny House was a perfect place for my coworker and me! It is absolutely adorable and being close to Bardstown Road was nice- plenty of restaurants, bars, ice cream and coffee shops! Great place for us to balance work and play. Would love to stay again in the future!

  • Cute place

    Audrey2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is a very nice inside. Super clean and comfy (including the Murphy bed!) Very well stocked with amenities and a super clean with bathroom with robes as well. (Nice touch!) However, there are lots of issues I have with the entire property. It's in a clearly run down, impoverished neighborhood. I read some reviews where it mentioned a "transitional neighborhood" however, this is not the case. I have lived in a transitional neighborhood in my hometown for years and I would not describe this as such. In fact, they have build a fence around the entire Airbnb with cameras on every corner. I'm sure some people would consider this "safe" however, I consider this inconsiderate of the neighborhood itself. I literally felt wrong for staying here. They advertise 2 large patios for lounging, but if you you decided to do that, you would be over looking abandoned buildings and government housing. It was just all a little to "white privileged oasis" for my taste. It seems intrusive to this neighborhood and in fact lavish and paranoid. A little "cashing in" on the Airbnb trend in a "cheap" neighborhood. As nice as this space was inside, I could not stay here again with a clear conscience. It just seemed like a money maker to me.

    Cali2016-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • This place is either perfect or terribly inconvenient depending on the purpose of your trip. I decided to have a boys trip with my son and visit some of the baseball related attractions in Louisville. For starters, we both loved the property. The yard is awesome, the grill, the outside living area, etc. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to use them, and the summer heat made it highly undesirable to be outside. Next, the living space inside is very well thought out. The couch, bed, shower, tub, etc., weren't only very clean, but new and very comfortable. Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention beforehand, I didn't notice the kitchen did not feature a stove or microwave. As a result, we had to eat out a couple more times than we desired. The kitchen does have a toaster oven and a massive fridge, but kind of pointless without the ability to cook a real meal. So, if you're planning on saving $$ by cooking instead of eating out, this isn't your place. Furthermore, I believe someone tampered the outside gate while we were gone from the property, as it was fine upon arrival, but the gate wouldn't line up or lock upon our return to the property two hours later. Emma was quick to get me in touch with the maintenance person, who came out right away. He said it was the humidity and the heat that made the wood swell or shrink and not line up. I personally think this wasn't the case, as it happened in a short time span, and even the door handle was loose. Regardless, he fixed and everything was fine from that moment on, but it did make for a sketchy feeling. Lastly, the big elephant in the room is the neighborhood. It's truly a pity that this lovely property is in such area, not because I like to stay in fancy areas, but because it makes the property less enjoyable. If you open up the curtains and expose the gorgeous windows, all you will stare at are abandoned houses with boarded up windows. The moment you step outside the gate, all you see are cars with steering wheel locks, and trash all over the curb courtesy of the neighbor next door. In other words, while the experience inside the house is great, the view from inside is terrible, and stepping outside the gate reveals a very sore sight. Obviously, none of that is the fault of Emma, just simply sharing so other travelers can have an idea of the area the house is in. The outside gate does have several security cameras, as does the backyard which I thought was odd and somewhat intrusive. If you plan on stepping out to the front yard to drink a morning cup of coffee in your underwear, do know that you might be recorded. Although you might not even want to do that, as the surrounding two-level houses have a completely unobstructed view of the tiny home's yard,...

    Jerry2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • This really is the best way to stay in Louisville regardless of what's bringing you! This swanky pad has everything you need and is centrally located for ease of access. Emma made the stay easy by opening her home and providing a great atmosphere to relax and beat the heat. This place really is a must!

  • This is such a great house to stay in when visiting Louisville that I have stayed twice in the past 4 months! It's close to so many cool hangouts and restaurants, and it's also a good location to launch a bourbon trail. We never had to deal with much traffic and the weekends make this neighborhood a fun area. Andrew is friendly and responsive and keeps a very clean rental. I would highly recommend staying here when in the area.

  • An oasis indeed. Both quiet and lovely, with a very peaceful garden and relaxing pool, but also closely located to the fun at Bardstown rd. Luxurious, spacious and clean. We were with four and an infant and were very well accommodated. Can highly recommend a stay and will be going back.

  • I've stayed at enough places to tell you that Keegan's stands above the rest. The remodeled space is big, comfortable and clean. The pool was a great bonus and he went beyond in sharing when I asked. The neighborhood has a variety of restaurants and a grocery store within a 20 min walk. Book it if available. You will not be disappointed!

  • Mitchell's place had everything you would need for a weekend getaway. The apartment is in a great neighborhood full of restaraunts and bars. The only potential downfall is it is located directly above a bar( a very cool one at that), so if you like to be asleep by ten I wouldn't recommend it. My GF and I went to the bar downstairs then just turned on a fan to provide some white noise to cancel out the bar patrons. Highly recommend this place!

  • The place was exactly what we were looking for! My wife and I stayed at Mitchell's place for the Saturday evening of Forecastle Festival, a local music fest. The location is great for downtown Louisville, as we walked to a couple of breakfast spots during the weekend. Mitchell was an excellent host because of timely communication, excellent preparation, and he even let us check in a bit early after our camp site got thunder stormed on the night before. The apartment is pretty much directly above a super hip whiskey bar called Haymarket, so the music and crowd noise is definitely audible until last call, but we didn't mind because we were partying as well. It was also a very busy weekend in town. We loved the balcony, the (at least) 15 ft ceilings, the coffee supplies, and the overall vibe of the space. We were very please with our stay.

  • The studio was huge. Much bigger then the picture looked to me. The bathroom is nice and clean with all of the ammenties and Mitchell provided towells. There is an iron and an ironing board. WiFi works great and so does the TV. The bed was huge and very comfortable. There is a back door that opens into a fire escape which is super cute and you can sit there and listen to the music coming from the bar downstairs. The bar is pretty loud, but I can sleep through anything so I didn't even use the ear plugs that Mitchell kindly provided. There are several eateries in the area and I enjoyed trying them out. During the day the place is pretty quiet and seems very safe. The best part of the place is the host Mitchell. He was incredibly responsive and flexible. I came in at 11pm and asked if I could leave my luggage at the apartment and he accommodated for all of it. Thank you so much Mitchell. You definitely made me consider moving to Louisville next year.

  • A great studio apartment close to downtown and the waterfront! It was the perfect space for just me to relax during my short stay in Louisville.

    Kristen2016-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very easy process getting into the apartment, which was tidy and spacious. While it sits above a bar with music, it wasn't an issue getting sleep. Still, for the price and proximity to some great bars and restaurants, it was well worth it.

    Ivan2015-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay in a great town. The bar downstairs may get a little loud but they also have around 250 whiskeys on hand so it's a solid trade off. All in all it was a great stay and this place was perfect

    Dominic2016-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Mitchell's spacious and simply but thoughtfully appointed place is a great base for being in Louisville. Thanks for having it impeccably clean for my arrival, and for the hospitable touches like plentiful and easy-to-find extra towels and a kettle and tea. I liked the location of the apartment (an easy walk to down town or to the Eastern Market area). Just fyi it is above a bar so sometimes you can hear the music from downstairs until midnight/1AM, but that worked for my schedule so I wasn't bothered.

    Stefanie2015-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Host was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. Clean, simple, had everything we needed. Easy to access and in good part of town. Bar below was noisy, but we were warned ahead of time and it was a Saturday night, plus we are used to city noise.

The Highlands is an area in Louisville, Kentucky which contains a high density of nightclubs, eclectic businesses, and many upscale and fast food restaurants. It is centered along a three-mile stretch of Bardstown Road and Baxter Avenue (US 31E/US 150) and is so named because it sits atop a ridge between the middle and south forks of Beargrass Creek. Due to its large collection of night clubs and restaurants, it is locally known as "Restaurant Row." The Highlands was the last area near downtown Louisville to be urbanized, since its steep 60 foot incline above the flood plain made travel difficult, and the area showed no signs of urban development until just before the Civil War. Several notable families did own plantations in what is now called the Highlands, spurred by the Louisville and Bardstown Turnpike (today's Bardstown Road). The turnpike was first planned as early as 1784, but authorization to begin construction was delayed until 1819, and thwarted then by the Panic of 1819. Funds were finally allocated in 1829, with construction beginning in 1832.
  • Live like a local and enjoy the amenities of the apartment here in hipster Louisville! House rules, directions, and accessibility all clear and easy. Cozy, modern, and clean. LOVED IT.

  • Sarah and Ben's communication was great and they provided all the details we needed to check in smoothly! The apartment was very well decorated and that bed - that bed was to die for! It's in a great location just on Bardstown road, with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. It's also very close to other parts of the city. For lodgers who plan on being at the apartment during the day, you may want to be aware that sounds from the bike shop below can be very clearly heard in the apartment. It didn't bother us a ton, but it is certainly noticeable.

    Katy2016-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Ben and Sarah were fantastic hosts- everything was as stated in the description and more. The bikes were a fun touch and I would have taken advantage of them if it had not been raining! The apartment itself is great- clean, nicely furnished, and comfortable- and I loved that they left snacks out too. In terms of the neighborhood, i didn't feel comfortable going out by myself at night but the people i interacted with were very friendly.

    Heather2016-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place is really quite a treasure. It's located right around some fantastic bars and down the street from a wonderful coffee shop and bookstore. The nearby park--Cherokee Park--is an absolute gem. I borrowed the bikes and took a lovely ride along the trail there. Communicating with Sarah and Ben was totally smooth and good. They are very good people--and next time I'm in town I'll definitely be staying with them!

    Benjamin2017-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah and Ben have a wonderful very clean adorable two bedroom apartment in one of the best locations in Louisville. You get 2 top quality bikes to ride with your stay. I love that they use eco friendly bio degradable cleaning products and soaps which are healthy for us and healthy for the environment. I originally booked for 3 nights and a week prior to visit I had to cancel two nights due to my friend not being able to visit me there. Easy Access with code lock. Parking behind bike shop. Lots of great restaurants. Flat screen TV which i did not use and everything you might need. Thank you!

    Nancy2016-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed and Sarah and Ben's wonderful apartment en route to family Thanksgiving. I'd much rather be back there for the week. Amazing apartment, awesome location. Only wish I had an opportunity to use the bikes.

    Jeremiah2016-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • This airbnb is in an amazing location of Louisville, the Highlands have so much to do and with the complimentary bikes from Sarah & Ben, it makes the stay even more fun! The decor is cute mid-century modern and there's lots of old-house charm in this airbnb. Sarah was super fast at responding and gave great, simple instructions for everything you could possibly need, keeping the "before check-out" tasks to a minimum, which I really always appreciate. I loved it so much I already booked another stay with them in July!

  • Within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. Very cute and private location, located in a private carriage house right behind the host's home so they were easily accessible. It was both cozy and spacious, offering an upstairs sleeping loft and a pull-out futon downstairs. It included good wifi, a smart TV equipped with Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, etc., and plenty of kitchen amenities if a longer stay is desired. Great location, safe neighborhood, would stay again!

  • Loved the location and the space! The neighborhood is really wonderful, and this place is in close proximity to many awesome local restaurants, distilleries, breweries, and art shops. We wished there was a bit more counter space/storage in the bathroom, as getting ready proved a bit of a struggle, but this was really our only minor complaint!

This is a 2nd story apartment with attractive location on quiet block. It's walking distance from hospital complex. The place has been gutted out and updated with new ceiling fans, lights, outlets, flooring etc. 2 closets, twin bed. The space is small but very cozy with higher end floors, glass block/granite counter top, fireplace stainless steel cabinets, ceiling fan etc When renovation we decided to keep original 100 yrs old cast iron bathtub and sink but unfortunately with age there comes some discoloration that proved impossible to remove. Fixtures are clean there are some stains. The house has WiFi, laundry facility, free bicycle rental. In most cases I don't even meet guests as they are able to let themselves in via electronic lock and I only show up if something is needed. The immediate neighborhood is not particularly attractive in my opinion but it's centrally located so it takes just a short walk to major attractions like Nulu, Highlands, Ohio riverfront or strict Downtown. There are two bus lines (21 and 19) in front of the house that will take you to major parts of the city. For detailed maps look up TARC bus system. Downtown, Riverfront, Highlands, Nulu are all within waling distance. I also have free bikes for guests to use. Parking is on public street. It's safe and plentiful except midday during the week but you can always find a spot just not directly in front of the house.

  • The apartment itself was lovely and had everything I needed - kitchen and bathroom facilities were clean and functional. Small but not claustrophobic - just fine for one. The location is not so great - a good mile to downtown and five or six blocks to the main NuLu strip with restaurants / shops. Bardstown Road is also walkable. If you had a car, it wouldn't matter, but I didn't. It's probably best to have a car in Louisville anyway. I snooped around a bit but didn't see any bikes or laundry.

    Amber2015-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Easy check in, even with my late night arrival. The apt was cute. It was perfect for 1 person. It was also only 3 blocks from the hospital where I had an interview the following day.

  • Amy's home was great! She was very easy to communicate with & checking in & out was very easy & convenient. The room was comfortable, clean, & quiet. The neighborhood was beautiful & a really great location just about 10 minutes from downtown Louisville. We would definitely reccommend her room to anyone looking for just an overnight visit or a long weekend. It's perfect for either one person or a couple exploring Louisville. Great stay!

  • Despite the beauty of the room, the ease of access, and the safety of the neighborhood, it was the fantastic display of fireflies in the backyard, visible from the deck, that made this a truly great place to stay!

    Jordan2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • We a great time at Amy's place! Amy and her sister are very accommodating and personable. The room is awesome, hot tub is awesome, sauna is awesome, and it's a 7minute drive to the Mega Cavern Bike Park. So after a long day of riding the hot tub is luxurious. This will definitely be our first choice for a place to stay when we come back down to ride.

    Devin2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Amy's home for one night after ten hours of driving. It was amazing!! We were greeted by her sweet son, friendly cats, and her overwhelming hospitality. • We really enjoyed our stay at Dominic‘s home. The location couldn’t have been better. We were able to walk to shops to get ice cream all just a block or two away. The accommodations were perfect for me and my two teenage children. One private bedroom accommodated my son and my daughter and I shared the pull out couch and we’re very comfortable. Excellent value! Perfect location!

  • Kelly thought of everything, down to a shelf reserved for guests in the fridge and a sewing kit in the guest room for wardrobe emergencies. She, and her fur babies, were wonderful company when we were all 'home' at the same time, otherwise the house was quiet and relaxing.

    Amanda2016-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • I didn't arrive until half past midnight, but it was extremely easy to follow Kelly's directions to gain access to the house even so late at night. Kelly made a binder for guests to learn more about staying there. The place is located near the airport so you can hear the airplanes taking off and landing. For some, it may be annoying but I loved it! I kept the window open to be able to hear it. If it would bother you, Kelly has a portable sound machine in the room to create different noises to help you sleep better. The house was very clean and cozy. When I was leaving, Kelly wasn't there but I did meet and chat with Rivka. We talked for a little while before I set out on the road again. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here!

    Shayna2017-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house in a great location. Wish I could have spent more time but I was only around for a quick over night. Highly recommended!

    Matt2017-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly was great. Her place was a cool old house close to everything in Louisville. Would definitely stay with her again.

    Patrick2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly's place was warm, clean, and conveniently located for easy downtown access. We only stayed for a night, but it was perfect for our needs.

    Shane2016-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home and guest room. Would have liked local tv channels to see the Derby events afterwards. Kelly & Rivka are friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Their dogs Ein and Sandy made the house homey. Their cats, Kitty Perry and ? (forgot!), were friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

    Karen2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the cats and dogs! They are so sweet and friendly. The house has all the amenities you need. It's a 5 minute ride to anything you want to see in Louisville. Kelly was so friendly and the check-in/check-out process was really easy.

    Victoria2017-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly and her roommate were very social. The dogs were also very social LOL! The room was cozy, spacious and warm. I really enjoyed the bed. It was perfect. Grateful for Netflix. Hot water was amazing. Very quiet.

  • Very comfortable house in a suburb of Louisville. A short drive to the city. Janice was a very accommodating host, she provided free coffee and breakfast, and was very friendly and helpful with tips of what to do in downtown Louisville.

    Bryan2016-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Janice’s place was very nice. Specially coming all the way from pakistan and having my first ever air bnb experience, it was great. The room was clean, with all the required amenities along with a nice self serve breakfast. Whatever you need it’s there. Janice is excellent in communicating. And tries to help you with stuff that you need. I’d love to stay there again in my future trips towards Louisville as well.

    Ambrose2017-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Janet was very nice host. The room I stayed was warm, clean and quiet. The breakfast she prepared for me was simple but delicious. Charlie (a old lady dog) was also very friendly. Janet provided all the services I needed, such as base room laundry, plenty of snakes, and clean towels. I have to mention the backyard garden is really attractive. I also like the house location, where is center of Louisville but far from the noise.

Please note that the stairs are steeper than normal as our house is quite old. If you have trouble with stairs our place might not be the right fit for you!
We live on a quaint street in a diverse neighborhood. We love living here and love to walk around the area.

(URL HIDDEN) NuLu is best known for its art galleries, specialty stores, antique shops and a growing number of local, upscale restaurants. The term “NuLu” is a portmanteau meaning “New Louisville”. As home to the greenest commercial building in Kentucky, many historic restoration projects, as well as several restaurants offering organic and locally sourced ingredients, NuLu has emerged with a culture of sustainability. Market Street is one of four major corridors inextricably intertwined with the history and development of Louisville; the earliest map of the city identifies Water, Main, Market and Jefferson Streets. In this section of the map you can clearly see the 800 block of Market between Shelby and Campbell. In 1804 the first Market house was established at Fourth and Market. The first brick house built in Louisville was constructed on the south side of Market between 5th and 6th Streets. During the 1820s the street was the scene of impromptu horse racing. During the early part of the 19th century Market Street was the common address for retailers and service industries supporting Louisville’s development as a center for regional commerce. The thoroughfare was the heart of the development of the city as a livestock market with herds of livestock in constant travel along Market between the Bourbon Stockyards and the river. During mid-century, the increased traffic along Market necessitated widening the street to accommodate the great variety of traveling merchants and products. Three block long sections of Market, between Floyd and Preston, Campbell and Shelby and Sixteenth and Seventeenth Streets were widened and several market houses were established here. In 1892 the Methodist Episcopal Church at 216 S. Shelby housed the Shelby Street Market (This is now the site of the Flea off Market). As part of this development a small park was established on Market Street between Shelby and Campbell. Named Kenton Place the park ran the length of the block and was enclosed with a fence to separate visitors from the streetcars that bypassed on the north side. However, by 1905 the park had been removed and the trolley traveled the center of the streetin 1940s The adjacent neighborhoods of Butchertown and Phoenix Hill and the Bourbon Stockyards at the east end of Market insured that Market Street was a vital artery of commerce. The 1852 City Directory noted “the entire extent of this street is given up to retail grocers, provisions dealers, and clothiers”; almost everything purchased in Louisville, either was produced or sold on Market Street. During the last half of the 19th through the early 20th century, at the beginning of the era of the great department store, three major Louisville retailers, Levy Brothers, Bacon’s, and Loevenhart’s open for business on Market Street. The historic integrity of feeling and association of the area today is supported by an eclectic mix of retail shops, restaurants and businesses. The diversity of this neighborhood is evidenced by the historic fabric that exists today along this corridor. This fabric is rich in historic design, materials and details; brick, limestone, cast iron. This is not limited to above ground structures. Recent archaeological investigations in downtown Louisville have revealed that a wealth of cultural historic resources are intact and these sites could have potential significance for their data content. During the nineteenth century Market Street was an important center of commerce and industry. Like many other urban historic business districts during the 1960s and 1970s it experienced a decline when competition from new commercial shopping areas began to be developed in the suburbs. However, Market has learned to reinvent itself and has become a unique destination. This strength is evident by the establishment of the East Downtown Businessman’s Association (now the East Market District Association) whose goal is to work together toward the revitalization of their commercial district. In 2007, Preservation Kentucky commissioned a study to analyze the economic impact of historic preservation in the Commonwealth. In that study completed by Dr. John Gilderbloom of the University of Louisville, the importance of historic, walkable, approachable downtowns appears through such varied topics as job creation, environmental benefits, and heritage tourism. In terms of job creation, noted economists agree that historic preservation creates 43 jobs for every $1 million invested — new construction cannot come close to that figure. Downtown revitalization in Kentucky created an estimated 4720 jobs in 2006 alone. Reports for across the state confirm that 1,923 permanent jobs were created in Main Street districts in 2006. From the study, “In Louisville alone, $76 million was spent on private rehabilitation projects on Main Street in 2006.” These projects support Louisville’s historic revitalization but more importantly they help retain the city’s unique Sense of Place.
  • This place was located perfectly next to so many amazing local shops and restaurants. We felt like the area was very safe and we never felt uncomfortable walking around. To get to the museums its a $5-10 uber. If you have a car there are a lot of parking spaces out front and it never seemed like that would be an issue. The place itself is decorated so cute with a ton of style and all of your every day comforts. The place itself was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. We could not have asked for a better stay and would love to stay again if we ever were back in town.

  • Super clean. In an convenient, safe, walkable neighborhood. Just feet from a bunch of restaurants and bars. It's right on East Market, but you can't hear any road noise or traffic inside. Great place and I will definitely try to stay here next time I visit Louisville.

Located in the hip Highlands neighborhood, this private luxury apartment offers a full kitchen and bath, vaulted ceilings, and master bedroom with queen size bed. Character, charm and convenience in Louisville, KY. Come and stay awhile. *Now offering concierge service! Please inquire for more details. 2 night minimum stay over the weekend.
Located in the hip Highlands neighborhood, this private luxury apartment offers a full kitchen and bath, vaulted ceilings, and master bedroom with queen size bed. Character, charm and convenience in Louisville, KY. Come and stay awhile. The treetop apartment is filled with skylights and has its own rooftop deck. It has a staircase up to the apartment that is sturdy and quite lovely. It's an easy five-minute walk to dozens (really, we mean dozens) of coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, and art galleries. You're also close to Cherokee Park and on the edge of downtown Louisville. This home was built in the 1880s for a steamboat captain on the Ohio River. Heart of pine floors, exposed brick chimneys, air conditioning, full-size refrigerator, microwave, smoothtop electric range and fully equipped kitchen. Separate living room features full-size sofa, books and board games, 2 brand new flat screen (living room and bedroom) ROKU TVs with cable TV, Amazon TV, Netflix and other streaming channels for all your favorite movies and shows. Wake up in the morning, relax on your treetop deck, then walk to breakfast at a local restaurant or coffee shop (see our guide book for details). Return in the evening for drinks and dinner, and shopping at art galleries and boutiques. The Original Highlands neighborhood is a mecca for eclectic and independent local culture. This apartment is just two blocks from the Baxter Avenue and Bardstown Road corridors, which include Molly Malone's, O'Shea's, Wick's Pizza, Jack Fry's, Quill's Coffee, Holy Grale, Heine Bros Coffee, and much more. We love hosting guests in Louisville, whether it's one day, a week, or longer. Check out our Guidebook for our suggestions on local (and mostly walkable) drinks and eats. Our neighborhood is full of charm and character. Expect big Victorian style houses, big trees and many areas to get pleasantly lost. The space is located on the TOP floor of our home. So, there are stairs to climb to get there. We are always happy to help carry luggage if we are home. Additionally, there are some steep angles in the apartment but we think it adds to the charm. And if you don't want charm its probably better to stay in a hotel, right? Make sure to read the house info that comes after you book. It has all the info you need. Get around on foot, ride the public bus called TARC with several stops close to the house, take a cab or use Uber. All parking in this area of the city is on the street but free. It is safe and usually easy to find a spot.
The Original Highlands neighborhood is full of charm and character with Victorian homes, parks, shops, bars and great places to eat. It is a walking neighborhood very close to downtown and about five miles from Churchill Downs.
  • My bf and I loved staying here. It had great space and we really felt at home. The patio was also really nice. There are steep stairs to go up if you happen to not be able-bodied. I would definitely stay here again.

    Lisa2016-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is lovely. Very clean and comfortable. My only semi-complaint is how we were received. The instructions on how to get inside were on point and we didn't have any issues. What wasn't ideal, however unavoidable, were the copious amount of stairs you have to climb. We struggled with luggage pretty strongly but that's not their fault. I felt the messages sent to us and left around the place were all rules. We didn't feel overly welcomed and I felt like I was imposing based on the tone of the lists of rules. Either way, it was cozy and did the trick. Nice place for the price overall.

    Maria2015-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed Jen and Alex's apartment very much and the location is perfect. I would definitely stay there again.

    Mason2013-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We were made to feel welcome. Everything went smoothy from finding the housing and getting in. The neighborhood was nice, the place looked great, and we enjoyed our stay.

    Duffy2014-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • I'm so glad I found this place. Such a cute little third story apartment. Perfect for just my husband and I on a little getaway. Jen was so great and made sure everything was going well for us. We were quite busy so we never got a chance to meet them but we messaged a few times and I felt like she would have done anything for us! The apartment was wonderful and so cozy. Thanks Jen and Alex!

    Camille2016-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jen and Alex's place was absolutely terrific! The top floor of apartment was very spacious and clean. In fact, it's probably twice the size of my current apartment at home and 1000x cleaner. Fresh linens, clean sheets and clear instructions on amenities (heat/wifi/tv) were all provided. We loved that there is a full kitchen including cookware. Being able to prepare your own food on a real stove made staying there feel much more like home instead of living out of a suitcase in a cold hotel room. The snacks provided were a wonderful treat. The location is also wonderful as it's close to downtown, the river, and many wonderful restaurants and nightlife. Parking was readily available on the street in front of the house at all times of the day. Would definitely stay again!

    Wei2013-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay with Jen & Alex. It's no exagerration that this is amongst the treetops and if you are lucky enough to catch a breeze coming through it makes the sensation that much more real. A cozy place with great light and good amenities. Jen was incredibly helpful with recommendations and other info prior to our showing up which made the stay that much better. Great place to stay if you are visiting this fine city.

    Sloane2013-04-20T00:00:00Z

  • Justin was a great host. He was very knowledgable about different areas to check out around the city and even leaves a map with recommendations. The unit was very clean and spacious. Justin also provided us with a parking pass, which helped alleviate costs associated with parking garages. Would definitely recommend his unit to anyone visiting Louisville!

    John2015-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such an easy check in with very quick responses. Included parking is a blessing, steps from the apartment. Justin's is so cozy and laid out well. And it is right next to Seelbach if ur looking for upscale bar or restaurant. 4th Street is less than a block away. One of the best Airbnb rentals I have stayed at. While Bourbon, all-things Louisville Cardinals, The Kentucky Derby and the St. James Arts Festival are the city's staples, Louisville is also filled with great eats, an amazing lively arts scene, and some really genuine folks--very comparable to other major cities...
Our humble adobe, yes we said adobe not abode :) is a huge two-bedroom apartment with hardwood floors and LOTS of natural light. We believe sharing is caring, and seeing as how we will be sharing our toilet and common areas, we also look forward to sharing: conversation, a bowl of cereal, and/or a glass of wine with our guests --no pressure . . . seriously. We're cool with basic interactions and respect the need for space.
We reside in an apartment complex in Old Louisville, nestled within community-centered non-profits and micro businesses. Our neighbors range across the social economic scale, providing vibrant character and resiliency in an enduring part of Louisville. It is truly one of the most eclectic and charming neighborhoods in the city--beautifully historic preserved Victorians, pedestrian only "courts," bike-friendly roads, tree-lined streets, all within a short distance away from just about everything: Louisville International Airport (SDF) -- 10 min drive (5.0 miles) Central Park; St. James Court -- 5 min walk The Palace; Mercury Ballroom -- 20 min walk; 5 min drive (1.0 mile) Kentucky International Convention Center -- 25 min walk; 5 min drive (1.0 mile) Downtown Louisville (KFC Yum Center; Actors Theatre; Muhammad Ali Center; Kentucky Arts Center) -- 30 min walk; 7 min drive (1.5 miles) Waterfront Park -- 45 min walk; 12 min drive (2.5 miles) Churchhill Downs -- 35 min walk; 9 min drive (2.0 miles) University of Louisville -- 20 min walk; 5 min drive (1.0 mile) The Highlands: Bardstown Road/Baxter Avenue -- 12 min drive (3.0 miles) Frankfort Avenue -- 15 min drive (5.0 miles) Cherokee Park -- 15 min drive (5.0 miles) NuLu -- 10 min drive (2.0 miles) During your stay, we'll be equipped and eager to share and recommend some of the city's gems! If you'd like to experience a thriving city with something for virtually everyone, come to Louisville! It's big city living on a small city budget!

  • Very welcoming. Neighborhood was brimming with historic architecture. Their local park was designed by Olmstead, same guy who did Central Park in NYC. I also appreciated the basket of toiletries they had bc I forgot my toothpaste.

  • These two provided the best experience possible. They were extremely accommodating without being overbearing. This was my fist time using airbnb and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend staying with them. The location was central- walking distance to downtown and to the university. I can't say enough good things about them and their apartment!

  • Arlene and Teresa were super sweet and fun people to talk to. They were extremely helpful throughout my stay. There place is great. A real quick bike ride to down town, which was great for going to the fest. I would stay there again if I went back to Louisville.

  • Great hosts in an absolutely stunning neighborhood! I was unfortunately unable to interact much with my hosts due to my schedule, and was sorry since they were very kind and gracious. The room is nice and comfortable, and they've been very thoughtful about providing nice amenities like blanket options and extra toiletries. Don't miss a chance to walk around the neighborhood--the Victorian architecture is unlike anything I've ever seen, not to be missed.

  • Arlene and Teresa are awesome - kind, helpful and caring hosts. Their apartment is gorgeous, very well located for town, and practical when driving. Their dogs are delightful. I loved my stay in Louisville and I would highly recommend Arlene and Teresa to other guests.

    Lindy2014-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Teresa was nice to enough to take me in at the last minute. To be honest I was strung out from driving all day so I pretty much went to my room and crashed out. But Teresa was very welcoming and offered to help in any way. The room was nice and tidy and I had no problems at all. I would recommend this place to anyone.

    Joshua2014-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Arlene y Teresa are just wonderful people. Easy to communicate with, flexible about my arrival, lots of local area knowledge and very welcoming. The space is lovely and their dogs are absolutely adorable. I had an incredibly pleasant stay with them and would absolutely come back.

Cozy, two bedroom home in urban neighborhood within walking distance to Churchill Downs, and minutes from downtown Louisville. • As pictured, this quaint and cozy house is a great place to stay. It’s completely renovated and has what a person, couple, family of three would need for a comfy stay. The memory foam king bed gave me a solid night sleep. My friend slept in the other room. She didn’t sleep as well but I’m not sure why. Suggested the hosts add a full length mirror to the space because there was no place to check out our “night on the town” outfits. The bathroom has all amenities, except a make-up mirror. The hosts have literally thought of everything. No “Target run” needed! We didn’t have time to sit in the recliners and I’m not a big TV person but both were there which is great. The fridge had waters available for us and a bag of ice in the fridge. I’m always shocked at how many AirBnB places don’t have ice made. This one did! Heads up, there are items needed to prepare food but bring your own plates and cutlery. There are ample plastic drink cups. As far as noise, I heard a plane. That’s it. Neighborhood is quiet at night, overnight, and in the morning. Don’t let the drive in freak you out. I’ve stayed at a LOT of AirBnBs. This one is uber safe and to be honest, if a person stops and looks (Website hidden by Airbnb) a working class neighborhood. People doing their thing and minding their own business. We LOVED it!

  • We appreciated the large bedrooms, and a kitchen and laundry. It was a restful place to land after a long day of touring. Close to airport for the next day departure, yet quiet neighborhood for sleeping.

  • Super clean and cute place! Our hosts were very easy to reach and put a lot of work into the house. The location of the house and neighborhood weren’t exactly what we were expecting, but the house was cozy and very nice.

  • Very happy to stay here. Everything as promised. Super clean and comfortable. I liked the self check-in, security system and living room chair. I do recommend staying here. The location is a bit not my favorite due to neighbors.

  • Wonderful visit! Very clean and considerate hosts! Will stay again when back in the area!

  • It was a very clean, cute place! They have everything that you might have forgotten to pack, including hair ties and makeup wipes! Wonderful place to stay!

    Jessica2018-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great home for a short stay. Very comfortable on the inside and was equipped with everything we needed.. Only thing, the kitchen sink did not work properly... The exterior of the home perhaps needed some help. The grass was not cut.. The neighborhood itself is beyond just a typical urban area... And I think that renters should be made aware of that beforehand. The pictures of the exterior makes this house appear as if it's in a quality area and unfortunately it is not. The neighbors were active all throughout the night and had lots of trash in front of their houses. The house was equipped with an alarm, so we felt safe on the inside - however, I often wondered about my car.

Many thanks for allowing us to rent your home. The pictures really don't do the home justice. There was much more space than expected and each room has been carefully detialed to perfection. I would highly recommend anyone coming to Louisville to rent this home.
